Pac-Man
Everything is great except 1 game, WHY DOES THE PAC-MAN GAME ONLY START YOU OFF WITH 2 LIVES?! in a regular game, Pac-Man starts with 3 lives. So pleas fix this.
80’s game play too
I want to like this but the game play reminds me too much of the 80’s: straight up stuck on aquanet. Glitchy at best with latency at its heart, this will piss you off more than the OG asteroids or space invaders arcades (or even remakes) due to ghost movements, delayed response, and an even tinier screen, consumed mostly by controls. A bit tough to play on any iPhone (maybe that new folds one will be better for those willing to pay).

Needs some way of running full screen, specially for players with controllers.

I love that they put an 80s arcade into a game and now I can revisit my dad’s time

Thank you for the AppleTV version! Controls work surprisingly well (I prefer using joystick over touch). MaME in a nicely packaged app. As others have stated it needs more games: Defender, Donkey Kong to round out the top ranked arcade games. Other favorites: Popeye, Kangaroo, Donkey Kong Jr, Mr Do, Gauntlet, Rampage, Phoenix, Outrun, Zaxxxon, QBert, Tron, 1942, Spy Hunter…
Flawed
Looks and sounds good but the laggy controls makes this largely unplayable.
Improved but needs more
Love the controller support. Now please make the menu navigation make sense, make the game screen bigger, fix joystick sensitivity so I don’t have to set it for each game and add auto-fire because this isn’t the 1970s.

When I get into a non-mission game, I experience a black screen. I can’t fix it… Oh wait! All I have to do close it out… uh oh, another black screen.
Accurate recreation or emulation but…
I just want to see more games added more often possibly rare and/or lost games from other companies and the same companies that contribute to the games present snk, Tenknon Kogyo, Denki Onkyo ltd creator of Heiankyo Alien, Nintendo , Namco, universal, etc. and games like Dracula Hunter Ozma Wars, etc. Update: I noticed that tempest has inverted controls and uses the keys. Because tempest and games like it used a spinner knob in the arcade, could you add mouse functions pls?

MAKE THE APP 4+
Very good game(s), although—
I love all the games on this—especially my Dig Dug, it’s my jam! But the buttons are a little hard to use, and if you are too loose with your control over it, it could mess up. Not like the real arcade exactly—but it’s like the arcade game—if you know what I mean.

Not great
Controller doesn’t work - actually it does partially work in the menus (directions work, there seems to be nothing set for exiting dialogs), but not in the games themselves. CRT shader is really janky. For reference the controller is an 8bitdo SN30 pro in mac mode (so it pops up and works fine in a browser gamepad tester as a dualshock 4). My quest for an Apple Arcade game that actually works well with a controller continues.
Good...but
The game has most of the class games from when I was growing up but it is missing a couple of good ones like donkey kong or Tetris
It’s got potential if they update
The games are great, the screen is too small. It’s a shame they make the surrounding cabinet part of the visual real estate, at least give an option to remove and go into full screen , especially on state of the art smart phones with large screen capacity .
Lack of games
I think this game is good but we’re missing some key titles I think would be amazing here, the extra pac man variants, splatterhouse and other namco ip, obscure titles and other sorts… and if possible maybe some midway games

I try to play pack man nine games later I get suspicious I see I don’t control them they control there self
If only the controllers would work and stay connected
Love that this game is available but the controller keeps connecting and disconnecting. We have the Apple TV and downloaded it to the TV, although the dual shock controllers are connected, the game won’t work. Also have had a couple times were there was a box from the game with a message and couldn’t get it off the screen. When the game works it is the arcade version of the game.
Breakout bugged
Can only play a couple games so far and breakout keeps phasing through blocks.
Galaga seems off
When playing Galaga there seems to be a slight delay from when you press the fire button to when your ship actually fires

Poor controls and odd progression
A gorgeous game, ruined by disappointing execution. The main issue is how difficult it is to be precise with the touchscreen controls. The developers tried to add some sense of progression into the game by locking games and having credits. Unfortunately, it doesn’t re-create the ‘nostalgia’ of not having enough pocket money or having to wait a few years for the next big arcade machine. Colour me underwhelmed…
Okay, but not Great
Love playing these games they bring back a lot of memories. This app does make my phone run hotter than other games. The controls are also laggy, especially for pacman, digdug and frogger. I know its not a responsive arcade joystick like the good ole days, but theres gotta be a way to make the games more responsive
A Labour of Love
This game is truly a Labour of love. It is so well done with love and care about every detail that captures the arcade experience from the old days. The crt filters look amazing. The controls are as good as they get for touch screen controls and there is always the controller option. It is the best retro arcade game selection there is. Looking forward to seeing the game catalogue expand over time. Thank you for this piece of video game history
loading problem
this game takes literally 20 minutes to load. no, i am not exaggerating. this is an absolute joke and needs to be fixed. how do you expect the player count to stay up when it takes longer to get onto the main menu than the time spent actually playing the games.
Good, but unfinished feeling

Poorly Executed
Pretty boring. Too much flat chatter about someone’s supposed childhood memories. Can’t even play games you want without unlocking older games.
Good but touch controls are off
The iPad touch controls are wonky. Brickout doesn’t let you get close enough to edges to stop ball. Seems to be increased resistance as you approach edges. Asteroids is almost unplayable touch controls. Packman same problems. Need sensitivity settings. I’ll try a controller and see if that changes it.
So much retro fun (and now with Qix!)
All the games are basically arcade perfect, but the addition of Qix is the icing on the cake. Maybe the best home/mobile version of the game I’ve ever played.
Was great now broken
I loved this game. Especially Track & Field. Now it just crashes when I try open track and field.
Pac-Man add joystick controls
Fun retro games, but for Pac-Man please add the correct visuals for actual joystick controls.
Good concept but being limited to a couple of games is shocking
The concept of the game is good although some of the games aren’t really suited to touchscreen. That aside, the biggest frustration is not having access to the whole selection of games from the get go. I’m paying for Apple Arcade and I expect to have full games. I’ll wait for the next update but if it doesn’t fix it, this is being deleted.
Good but…
Honestly I do love this. Bringing back classic games that I was never around to play (wasnt born) to conveniently take them on the go. I would rate this as 5 but there is one major flaw that is disappointing. The game crashes after extensive gameplay. Im trying to bash through the weekly challenges to grab as much xp as possible to purchase the last of the games but after a while Retrocade decides to give up and crash. Reversing a lot of progress i make. Not just on one of the games but all of them. As soon as this issue is fixed I will gladly come back. I do look forward to having more classics come to retrocade .

Excellent emulation of the classics. The sights and sounds are spot-on! Hopefully more games to come…
No point controls are unresponsive
Just a time wasting app that will leave you frustrated and wasting time to try and unlock games you want to play. Breakout is so broken in touch controls it’s untrue. Apple should remove this app.
Amazing
I'm a retro gamer and whilst some of these aren't perfect, I'm so pleased to have them available finally. Let's hope Apple Arcade evolves to support many more games in Retrocade. It's an absolute treasures trove! Great start and I think it's good that it ultimately forces you to try all the games to unlock them. No issues with that. I'm giving it four stars solely because it doesn't work on MacBooks.
Glitches in games
In principle, really cool app with some retro gaming action but so many glitches in them which take some of the gloss off - haunted castle is a good example where you can’t jump on a bridge and just fall off - so kind of pointless sadly
Good but confusing
The selection of retro games is cool and I’d love to try them all but I can only play two of them for some reason; the rest are locked. I assume that I have to earn some kind of achievement to unlock the others but I can’t see what I have to do anywhere nor how long it might take so I’m stuck playing either Breakout or Space Invaders (two games I don’t particularly care for) over and over again. Also, the tutorial is kind of annoying. It’s not really a tutorial at all, more an audio of a guy reminiscing about the video arcades of yore, which actually gets really annoying because neither the “hold to skip” nor “skip tutorial” buttons work so you can’t shut him up and just get on with the games once you start it. Lots of potential here and a few simple tweaks could make the experience a lot better.
