Books are better
Last year I got really into reading about fitness and put together some workout plans that have been working well for me. I decided to try Muscle Charge for the calisthenics aspect of it and out of curiosity about what I might be missing I would not recommend this app. There is nothing in the way of instruction for which muscles should be activated during the exercises or tips on how to achieve proper form for safety. In the past when Ive tried workout videos Ive gotten tendon issues and sciatic pain - this brought all that back within a few workouts. For context, I walk at least 10 miles a week, do weighted carry exercises up steep hills, and can paddle 14 miles - Im not out of shape. But these videos were boring, impractical, not educational and didn’t really feel all that safe for me personally. I would highly suggest Delavier’s fitness books - great illustrations and explanations about the benefits and dangers of each exercise with multiple variations and ‘Built From Broken’ by Scott Hogan can help you understand how you injured yourself in the past and prevent doing that moving forward so you can be fit into the future.

I signed up for a 6 month subscription at a low introductory rate. A few weeks later, my card was charged again, but my bank flagged it. I thought it was a mistake for something I didn’t order. Today, I tried to log into my account and my subscription was cancelled.
Muscle Charge you money.
App would be better if they gave you a 10 second tutorial on the exercise before they start the timer. Plus a lot of the different programs are repetitive with the other programs. Overall it’s decent.

Scam - Beware
Seasoned Bet
Good start. I wish there was a way to change initial program to intermediate. It started me at beginner and I have to do a few workouts in a row to get what’s needed.
Is this a scam?
Paid money per month subscription. Downloaded the app message sent to my Gmail. My Gmail did not want to open it because it said it was not a trusted site. Then I went to my phone to see what happened and it said it wanted to permission to view my clipboard to verify I don’t feel comfortable with this at all. I’ve never had to do anything like this before with an app I purchased so I think I’m just gonna say I lost $15. Certainly not worth risking more.

Trying to charge my card after cancelation
I had a transaction review this morning this app tried to charge me $68.50 after I canceled the app over 6 months ago. If it’s for Apple they could have charged me. I also noticed they charged me $25 in Nov which I was not aware of. I don’t have to to argue but this is an acceptable behavior stealing people money. Check your Apple Card for bt *help.muscle charge.

Buyer beware
Watch out for the very expensive hidden subscription, you will get no notification just a $40usd charge without notice It’s a very dodgy system, you are also unable to cancel on IPhone the position they place the cancel button is unacceptable, they have had plenty of time to correct this but conveniently have not.

Not worth the subscription
The app has some workouts but there is no guidance on what needs to be done - very basic workout look like AI generated - not worth the subscription- also workout speed is improper -
