Super Cool
I am stoked to gamify my reading. I will do nearly anything to keep a streak alive (1388 days into Duolingo!), so I’m excited to read 20 minutes a day! Also, nearly everything is free! Loving the import feature… Goodreads info imported in less than a minute. I’m going to recommend this app to every book lover I know!
Can’t delete library
What on earth is this? Why is this glitched? Why is there even an option if doesn’t even work???
Features
The app is amazing, the first one in a long time to finally convince me to leave Goodreads. But some things need improving, like the fact that many books that are coming in a month or two are missing crucial information like book cover or synopsis. And new books which are yet to be released don’t have the accurate release date.
Looks great but…
Aesthetic app but I wish we could back edit reading progress longer than the paid for 8 days. I hate that my streak is wrong and that my month doesn’t look accurate on my profile.
Best Book Tracker
Absolutely love this app!! So cute, crazy customizable, and super easy and convenient to use!
i can't import anything
i want to like this app so bad, god knows goodreads needs better UI upgrades. but i've tried five different times now, and margin only reads my goodreads shelf as empty. i don't know if it's a problem with my location (hong kong) that it's inaccessible or something, but it's so frustrating. i'm deleting this app now.
No export option?
Great app! I only wish there was an export option and more social features. Most of my friends use other apps, so I would love to discover other online users through communities.
Neat, thoughneeds some improvement
Would help a lot to have a multi-select option to edit/delete books from the library. Also the option to clear library doesn’t work so I have to delete the whole account and retry.
Beautiful app
I really love the app it’s cute and simple and addictive to use. It makes me want to read more everyday
What the hell is with the profile picture?
I downloaded this app thinking it would help me want to read more, however when logging it and me attempting to put a picture of my cat as my profile picture, it wouldn’t let me. Something about their filter only working on human faces. First of all, that’s idiotic. Second of all, the filter used is very clearly ai, as can be seen when taking a proper look at the details. For an app about reading, I’m extremely disappointed with the ai usage, especially now with the truth about how damaging ai is being common and easily accessible knowledge. Another thing, when I attempted to choose a photo that had only half of my face shown, it somehow found a picture of my full face (which was no where near the original picture i chose, so no chance of me having misclicked and chose that one instead) and used that. That is extremely creepy to me, I do not like how it was able to do that without my consent or input. My point is, the whole filter thing is moronic, to the point it turned me off using the app completely and I deleted it. Please, just let people use what pictures they want to use as their profiles. Better yet, give them the option to choose if they want their face being put through ai or not. Do better.
Stole me from GoodReads
I’ve been tired of the Goodreads outdated look for so long, and margins has officially stolen me! The aesthetic is so much better, the iPhone widget is perfect and I love the different shelves and ways I can organize my books! I would give a full 5 stars but only thing it’s missing is the “social” side! I wish there was somewhere like a feed to scroll to like and comment on friend’s posts, not just the “story posts”!!! But all around I love it and ive officially made the switch!
So far am loving everything, but…
I wish we could add books ourselves without having to rely on the app to source the information. This way we can add articles, essays, poems, and quotes. I also wish I could sort my books by the dates I read them and not just by when I added them or by color- currently this can only be done for finished books, not all of them; be able to add pictures of the book covers when one isn’t currently available, edit my ‘recommended by’ sources
Charming and simple book tracking
This app won me over with how simple it is to navigate my reading sessions. Margins makes book tracking feel like stepping into someplace cozy
Deleted all my tracking !
Terrible I uninstalled the app because it was glitchy and it deleted my whole month of reading tracker! Not reliable.
Reading streak cooked
I love this app but i crashed out because i had a reading streak of over almost 50 days and it has now went to 5 days and it won’t fix. My very well deserved reading streak is dead even though I updated everyday 😔
My fav
Favorite app to use for tracking, wonderful layout and makes tracking sm more helpful and beautiful. I genuinely couldn’t recommend it enough 🫰🫰🫰
Margins
I love this app a lot. I just wish that I could divide the books into genres that I put in my want to read. I believe that it could help choosing your next read. Especially when you have a big tbr. Either way I completely love this app and it helps me keep focus on the books I’m reading.
Didn’t get a reading wrap up for March :/
Been using the app this year and never have had any issues with getting a monthly wrap up but didn’t get one for March for some reason. I thought everyone was having the same issue but then I checked that others were sharing their march wrap up. I have tried updating the app, even installing it and signing in through another device and nothing. Is anything wrong with my account? I personally look up for wrap ups a lot so it was a bit disappointing. Still, I love the app and I hope more people gave it a chance.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
If you’re a reader and you’re NOT using the Margins app yet… respectfully, what are you doing? 😂📚 I love having a place to keep track of what I’m reading, rate my books, write reviews, and basically document my descent into becoming completely feral over fictional men and morally questionable women. It’s easy to use, visually cute, and makes keeping up with my reading life way more fun. I especially love being able to look back at what I’ve read and see my thoughts because apparently I need documented evidence of every time a book emotionally destroyed me. 😂 It has very much become my little bookish corner of the internet, and I’m here for it. 5/5 ⭐️ — highly recommend for my fellow book-obsessed girlies. 🖤📖
Great, but…
I love using this app to track my reading with family, but I wish that I could choose a profile image from my own photos that wasn’t a person…
Pretty!
I look the aesthetics of the app. The visuals are very appealing, and the reading session options are very user friendly.
Really Enjoy
I so far really enjoy the app. It’s easy to use and very detailed. I like being able to add personal notes since I subscribe to concurrent reading lol. I do wish there was some sort of social feature that was more generalized than adding personal contacts. Overall it’s great, importing from goodreads and fable is pretty quick and the design is so cute
Adorable Anti-Social Media Social Media
Great use, with or without adding friends. It adds the joy of tracking, organizing, and planning your book list (or “personal curriculum”, if you like that phrase better) and library to your reading routine. It’s so nice to check actually save all of my interests and progress in one place. Not to mention, the UI is adorable. Hope to see this on Android so my other friends can hop on!
Almost 5⭐️
Good app for tracking reading/books. It would be 5 stars if I could go back and fix stats more than 4 days. It’s annoying.
Best Way To Track
This is my written reading tracker digitized! Everything I could imagine is here and ready, tracking it all from format, start and end date, DNFs, even how long I read if I wanted to go that far. Plus, it’s adorable. My favorite feature is the monthly and yearly overview to see my book counts.
Love this app
I love this app I have tried all apps and I found that this one has a really good interface. It’s really good for people who are just genuinely wanting to concentrate on the TBR reading more looking at the reading stats. Helps a lot with concentration and is basically built for improving your reading stats The app is for you if you want clean looking pretty app that shows your front covers Sometimes adding progress when I first started was a little bit confusing not much, but when you get the hangover it you know what you need to be doing and how I ended up with a lot of duplicate reading sessions There’s one thing I think that app could really benefit from and that is having the extra additional settings that you can do appearance your goal et cetera on your front homepage at the top next to your story I’m an avid audible book reader because I read books when I am at work so the one thing I don’t like about that app is the multiple books on your calendar this might be personal preference rather than an app issue when you look at your calendar rather than having one book on the face of it you have your multiples on that one day so each day I have multiple and I think it would really benefit from having an audible tracker and a book tracker because it’s my book reading my physical that I want to improve but this is just my personal thought adding a section for books that are specific to audible in same sense of TBR so they are separate One of the other things I thought would be good is when your adding series that they automatically get grouped into series The one thing I don’t like about the app is the notes section this really needs improving I feel notes should be easily accessible but there not you can’t add per page when you want to read said notes it brings up all notes and in the editing screen Challenges ? So it can see what you are reading look at pushing you into new genres ? This is what I like about story graph but something about it didn’t feel right I think it was asthectics for me And reading along side book club in fable was a plus but I really didn’t like the posting it was really distracting and pushed up my endless scrolling Brill app love it
Love this app
Love to use this to track my reading, ratings, books I want to read and so much more.
Its great but i think it could be better
I started wanting to track my book reading recently and i tried a couple before eventually settling on margins, its great app with a good interface but i did prefer features that other apps have like notes, i know you have private notes but i wish there was a Notes section where you can see all of them like there is in bookmiles and i feel as logging is a little messy and that reading sessions should be connected to the amount of pages you read during and not being two separate logs, i think having a book shelf or more collective stats like bookolodgy would be good too but overall its a good app just i think it could use some improvements
