Love!!
I am loving everything so far! Got 260 books scanned in and I’m not done yet 😳
Don’t get this app unless you want to pay!
You can only add 5 books without paying for the “unlimited version” was just trying to track the books my daughter and I were reading together smh
Riconosce i titoli italiani
Presents itself as a free app, ends up with a paywall
Either you are clearly paid or free, you cant bait and switch. $17 for full vers. is also insane. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is because the UI is good. You may not collect people's data but at this price point and malicious presentation, you should've rather done that.
What I’ve been looking for
I’m in love with this app
.
Suggestion
Love this app, only wish I could move book in order I want them. Like all books by an author with multiple series with each series together in order. Example; how you can move your apps on your phone around. Everything else has been wonderful with the app.
bello all’inizio
Not good but not bad
At first it was a great app. I like how everything was so organized and easy to figure out. What I didn’t like was after 3 books, it wouldn’t let me add more without paying. I didn’t like that
Wonderful app
Very useful and intuitive. I love how integrated into iOS it is - it feels like an official Apple product in a lot of ways.
False advertising
When I got the app I saw I needed to upgrade. I got a window stating that it’s 9.99 for unlimited sharing and the ability to add more than 50 books. After getting the app I was then informed I needed to pay 1.99 a month.
Excellent reading tracker
I appreciate the developer's commitment to respecting privacy and was happy to pay to upgrade. I've tried lots of reading trackers and this is a favourite. It has good widgets and statistics and it's easy to add books. If there was a widget to show minutes read as well as pages it will be perfect. My interest is in logging the time I read to motivate myself to increase.
PITA
This is probably user error, but even with extensive help from ChatGPT I couldn’t figure it out. All I want is to enter date read, rating, and a few notes. And I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the notes in there. Sometimes a card pops up that allows me to enter notes, but I’m entering something else and when I click enter that card disappears and can never be retrieved again. I even tried deleting the entire entry and starting over and could not find that card again.
Good, Not Great
I don’t know how to erase a book once it’s been added to the library. Everything always comes out as paperback, I wish it would ask and sometimes it tells me I don’t have a book even though I do.
best app for tracking books!
i love this app so much. it's so perfect for tracking my reading, my tbr and my wishlist. i love being able to scan barcodes to automatically add books to my wishlist when i go to a bookstore or something. i haven't encountered any issues with this app at all!
Doesn’t work
Can’t track any books without paying $16, what is the point of this app?
Amazing
This is an amazing app for book tracking I love the layout and it’s pretty much al inclusive
Scanner qr code
Il ne fonctionne pas
Love it but
Love this tracker! I wish I could move the books around in the library. Example: I had a book set by Emily Henry and just got another book of hers so I want them to be next to each other. Instead, it just goes all the way to the bottom and throws me off haha. If there is a way to adjust it, how would I do that?
The Best
I’ve compared over a dozen book apps, and Book Tracker is easily the best.
Where did my books go?
All my books are gone? Was this an iOS update error or did I do something wrong?
Easy UI changes to improve
A good app - but would be a great app with some very simple changes. The one thing I really wish were possible is changing the information shown in the default library layouts. If I could add publication year next to title, author, cover and tags I would be very happy.
Bewertung
So far, so good. However…
I've just purchased both versions of this app a few days ago so rating is tentative as I continue to enter my books into this app (thousands) and keep an eye on any updates that may address some of the pain points I have experienced so far (see below). First, what I really like about this app: - Using my iPhone camera to scan a book's bar code to enter its properties is fast and smooth. I can even turn on or off which properties I want auto-filled, and which I prefer to enter myself - It's NOT a subscription. I've purchased both the Mac and the mobile versions, I own them outright, and they iCloud-sync beautifully. If you're using your iPad as your PC, then you only need to purchase one version for both your iPhone and iPad - It populates my Shortcuts app with tons of Actions that I look forward to exploring later - Multi-site / bookshelf / shelf properties for physically locating my books (I'm combining site and room, such as Cottage-LR) Now, my pain points: - I can configure each book record card showing in lists, to display Position (physical book location), Series, Tags, Pages, Audiobook duration, etc. but I can't show the category the book is in. This means that I can't look at any list and know whether or not I've even entered a category for some books. - When I approach a particular bookshelf, I would like to be able to set defaults, like location, category, tags, format, etc. for the books on that shelf, and then when scanning, these would be pre-populated - When I do create a filtered list in order quickly update properties, I have to drill into each book, make my changes, then back out a couple of steps to the list to select the next one on the list and drill into that. This could be made a lot easier and quicker with Previous / Next buttons on each book's record to move to the previous or next record in whatever particular list you're using - especially when the record you're leaving is saved automatically - When individually editing particular records, I must scroll down past properties that I don't use (e.g. Translators, Illustrators, and Narrators) to get to properties I do use (e.g. Categories). To get to position (physical location), I have to continue scrolling down past Series, Number in series, and Formats. It would be nice to be able to either reorder the properties in the detail record editing page and/or to decide which properties are displayed - An editable, filterable / sortable table view of my books with properties that I've set up to see as columns would be ideal for many reasons, including solving most of the issues above that I've been running into. Despite the barriers that I have so far run into, when the app I was using (Book Crawler) ceased to exist, Book Tracker seemed to come closest to meeting my needs. (... and yes, I probably could have exported CSV from Book Crawler and inputted it into Book Tracker, but due to some major disruptions, my library was due to be 'freshened up'.)
Love it!
Easy to use and allows me to track how I want to.
Update
Very disappointed with the update to this app, not a patch on how it used to be
Bien
Search function is a complete mess + many other quality issues
The search function on this app almost dried belief, zero logic is applied. More free than not the results are irrelevant, even if you put a full title it will show you irrelevant rebuts first and maybe order in the list is the actual book you have put into the search. Cannot search by author. Images are low quality or losing so hard to even find the one you want if it does return correctly results. The library looks very ugly with the pixelated low resolution images. I’m quite disappointed overall. It’s very cumbersome to use. The widgets are broken, dark text in dark mode is just ridiculous.
Great Book and Reading Tracker - Love The Privacy!
Title of the review says it all. I have been using to track my reading for the last couple of years. Love the visual nature of the app, its’ support for customization the layouts, and most importantly, the privacy aspects. All your data is stored locally or in iCloud, no one else knows what you’re reading, so no ads. Thank you for this wonderful app and your attentive support.
5 books only
So after I’ve added 5 books it stopped working and requested $20 payment. Bro you should say it in advance.
Exactly what I was looking for
Just downloaded the app and paid for it right away because it has exactly the organizational structures I want. My only issue is that there doesn’t seem to be any way to edit or delete locations.
So far so good
So far so good, I’m new to book tracking so still figuring it out, I need to make the onetime purchase but wanted to know if there was a way to connect my kindle app to it first or do I have to input manually, I can’t find some of the books I’ve read when I’ve searched online
Great app!
This book tracking app is exactly what I was looking for. It has all of the functionality I need, and is focused on keeping your data private. Also, the developer is very responsive and welcomes suggestions.
Inefficient
I imported my csv file from book crawler but many of the books don’t appear to be there and the sorting by author doesn’t keep all by each author in a group. Disappointed
Very good, I just need a little bit more
This is a very good book collection app and I would recommend it. I would like to switch to this one, but will be sticking with another. For my book collection, I need to have a field for “Language” and for “Illustrator” and this is leaking. If it was added, I will switch and rate 5-Stars.
Es de pago
Solo deja añadir 5 libros gratuitamente. Luego hay que pagar
Great app but
Great app but please allow for multiple users of the same library
Best Book App to Avoid Ads & Clutter
This app is really good at keeping the interface low clutter. Also like the fact that it is not insistent on pressuring you to read. You CAN set goals; however, it’s nice to simply have a digital library where I can add the recommendations people suggest.
.
Pointless, only add a total of Five Books and then you have to purchase the lifetime option to continue.
Crashing
I actually really liked the app, but since the latest update it just hasn't stopped crashing. I cannot add a new book without it closing on me.
Simple, clean, uncluttered
I love how simple and clean this is, as well as how easy it is to search a book and swap a cover. No effort to keep my library looking exactly how I want it. The stats are really fun to look at, too. I track reading for myself, not to compare socially, so this is exactly what I've been looking for and I was happy to unlock. 💛
just found out you need to pay
£15 to be able to track the books i've read? i can't believe i really thought it was free. ive only registered 5 books and your app wants me to pay £15 to put more than 5 books in there. yes, there's other features etc, etc... but it's a disappointment, i thought i could genuinely stop searching for other apps and use this one since ive looked through the whole app store for an okay book tracker app. please at least tell people that they need to pay to do anything instead of wasting their time. honestly.
Love it!
I love how easy the app is to use in comparison to Good reads and things like that. The only thing is I wish I could add a reading goal!
Incorrect Info Spoiling Experience
I really want to love this app, I love that I can access statistics but the books I’ve read are showing up with completely incorrect page numbers, some with dramatically more and some with dramatically less, and it is completely spoiling that feature for me. The only way for me to correct this is to manually add all the books.
