Reliable
I’ve found that despite this apps short comings on book data it makes up for in simple straight forward setup with no bs ads. I pay for the yearly subscription and it’s cheap. The app allows me to check on how I improved this year, log reads, gives averages, etc. I love that I can add a book to my reading list and if the info is lacking I can change it. One thing I would like them to change or at least add is some color variation to the app aesthetics. It sort of has an aged look which is sort of a fall back. Also streamlining the process of logging books back to my Goodreads profile would be cool.
Widgets are not working
I’m having trouble with the widgets not working as they used to. The suggested widget from Apple shows the book I’m currently reading, but when I add to Home Screen it only shows ‘add books’ on the widget. When I got it to work earlier, the percentage on the widget wasn’t updating.
Pretty good
Not my favorite of hers, but read it in a couple of days. Sort of predictable.

Paid iCloud sharing!
I enjoy the app it’s good but too many features are locked behind a pay wall. Things so minor like pausing the tracking time, and iCloud sharing. What the app has is good and if it was a little less pushy with the subscription ( you could do more without it) it would by far be the best option for a reading log.
a very nice app
I love the clean simplicity of this app! I've been using it for more than a year now. So easy to track the books I read. I've recommended it to other friends. Thanks for such a simple easy app to track all my books!
Inputting myself
Not sure what happened but it seems like any book I am reading/listening too I have to enter manually now. Even scanning its like no books can be found. Pretty frustrating.
Opinion
Needs an update so the user can filter out by pages. (Ex : 200-300pages, 50-100pages, 500+) Sometimes I’m in the mood for a small one day read or I’d like to read a big book. I’d rather not go to the book individually and find out. Also if it could automatically sort the books you read through years/months/days like a calendar.
Widget Broken?
The widget seems to not work. It is just blank. I enjoyed quickly updating my reading log but it doesn’t work any more.
Useful but limited
I’d like to be able to export/share my reviews. Perhaps one has to pay to do this?

Excellent, simple app for tracking books. Great for people looking for an easy way to track reading. I recommend this app for folks who want to keep track of their reading, but aren’t necessarily interested in social media or reviews.
Poor ability to recognize barcodes
Don’t bother subscribing if you are in Australia. I scanned in 5 books to start, all current bestsellers by big names like Jane Harper and it recognized only one. Having to add the majority of books manually is a waste it time and defeats the purpose of the app.
Progress bar issue
Only complaint is that the progress bar is missing from most books I add nowadays. Otherwise great and very useful app.
Scanning functionality no longer works
The scanning barcode functionality does not work at all anymore. Every book now needs to be added manually. I will probably be switching to a different app if this is not fixed.
Used to Love it!
I’ve used this and paid for the pro membership for years. I’ve been disappointed that the last 7 out of 10 ebooks I read had to be manually added. The “search online” function used to work about 95% of the time, but not any more….
Just what I need
I don’t need the social aspect, other book apps feel like everyone is competing on who can read the most. This app allows me to simply track and organize books I’ve read and want to read.

Only one wish
I use this app as well as another popular social book app. I just love the layout and simplicity of this one. My only wish is I could put in when I reread a book without paying. The free version gives me everything I need except that.

La versione gratuita non permette di accedere all’ account da apparecchi differenti. Ho creato la mia lista sul mio telefono e solo là ci posso accedere. E sinceramente 15€ all anno per questo lo trovo esagerato. Ne cercherò un’ altra o riprenderò il mio vecchio taccuino!
18th Abduction by James Patterson and Maxine Partro
Review for 18th Abduction by James Patterson & Maxine Paetro ★★★★☆ 4/5 stars I’ve been a longtime fan of James Patterson’s Women’s Murder Club series, so I went into 18th Abduction with high expectations, and for the most part, it delivered. I’m giving this book four stars because I’m so familiar with Patterson’s writing style that I did anticipate some of the beats and the general direction of the outcome. Even with that familiarity, the book was incredibly interesting and created the kind of immersive atmosphere that made me feel like I was working the case right alongside Lindsay Boxer. That “let me solve this before they do” energy is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this series, and this installment had it in spades. 18th Abduction throws Detective Lindsay Boxer and the rest of the Women’s Murder Club into two deeply unsettling, high-stakes cases. A string of brazen abductions begins to terrorize San Francisco, each incident more calculated than the last. At first the victims appear unrelated, but as Lindsay, DA Yuki Castellano, ME Claire Washburn, and reporter Cindy Thomas start digging, a chilling and deliberate pattern emerges. Woven through that investigation is a separate crisis at a local school that cuts close to home and raises the emotional stakes for everyone involved. Patterson’s trademark short chapters and breakneck pacing keep both storylines moving, and the setting of San Francisco becomes a character itself. The city’s blend of historic streets, tech-world pressure, and social divides provides a timely, grounded backdrop that makes the danger feel all the more real. The characters remain one of the strongest elements of the series. The bond between the four women is unique and captivating — it feels authentic, tested, and unshakable. Lindsay’s toughness, Claire’s quiet wisdom, Yuki’s legal intensity, and Cindy’s journalistic drive all play off each other beautifully, and you’re invested in them as people, not just as vehicles for the plot. What gave this book real substance for me was how Patterson outlined the gore and the evil that can live in the human heart when someone has been deeply hurt or wronged. The novel digs into that dark impulse to inflict the same pain on others under the guise of justice, and it does so without glorifying it. It’s a sobering, thoughtful look at vengeance versus healing that lingers after the last page. The only reason I didn’t give this a full five stars was the profanity. I could count the instances on one hand, and while it wasn’t excessive, I felt the story was strong enough to stand without it. With an author this popular and skilled, I always appreciate when the tension and dialogue carry the weight, and I think this book could have gone without it. Still, that’s a minor drawback in an otherwise compelling thriller. I would absolutely recommend 18th Abduction because I love the author and he always delivers the best in his writing. If you enjoy smart police procedurals with strong female leads, moral complexity, and pacing that doesn’t let up, this one is worth your time. It’s a page-turner that explores how pain can twist the idea of justice, and how friendship, truth, and grit fight back.

It’s Okay(Not Really)
This app is good if you have money to be a “pro” they don’t let you see your status if you don’t pay and it’s only good if you want to see all your books organized. It doesn’t even like show you the percentage that you have done you have to get that on your own. There should be an goal option as well, and if you have a book you finished they should put a IDK for when you started and finished! Not the best one. I suggest you get a different app or you can just look at all the books you have on the app.
Once upon a River
An interesting tale based around the river Thames set in Victorian times. Rather mystical like her other books but quite a readable story which whilst having a sinister side to it resolves it successfully in the end.

lo solitamente uso goodreads (totalmente gratuita) ma ho voluto provare anche questa app perché mi sembrava altrettanto ben fornita e con una grafica decisamente migliore. Appena scaricata ero rimasta sorpresa, mi era piaciuta molto, fino a quando sono andata nella sezione "statistiche" e mi è uscito che dovevo per forza abbonarmi per vedere quante pagine/libri leggevo, gli obbiettivi annuali ecc. Per me è una follia far pagare per un'app del genere, e ci sono rimasta parecchio male anche perché non avevo la possibilità di abbonarmi. Per me è assolutamente fondamentale vedere quante pagine/libri leggo e altre cose di questo tipo quindi l’ho cancellata subito. Peccato davvero, perché se non si dovesse pagare sarebbe stata un’app ottima. A questo punto, consiglierei di metterla a pagamento e non di illudere gli utenti 🤷🏼♀️
Disappointing
I have well over 200 books and want to start organizing them so that I don’t make any double purchases (or miss out on buying a book because I mistakenly think I already own it) and thought the barcode scanning feature would be convenient. I started scanning and after 3 or 4 books I got an error message. So I skipped that book and started scanning again - using the ‘Scan Many’ feature is helpful, but again I got an error message and it wiped out all the books I had waiting to add. Out of the 18 I attempted only 8 were found, and these are not new/indie books. I hate to sound like an entitled brat but it’s not as helpful as I wanted it to be. It does have a great logging feature for the books I was able to add.
To me, this is a perfect app
To me, this is a (rare) example of a a perfect IOS app. Its goals are simple: log, organize, and keep track of your progress in books you're reading/have read. It does not try to be something it isn't; it doesn't try to be a book-buying app (although it does give you the option to see bookshop.org or amazon links for your books), it doesn't try to be a general, non-book organizational app, etc. The programming is efficient and reliable; I've never had the app crash or lag or drain my phone's battery. Most importantly to me, there is a lifetime membership option to remove ads (and unlock a few minor cosmetics). Apple requires developers to pay a fee for their app to be listed on the IOS store; most devs tackle this with annoying ads that you must pay a *recurring* payment to eliminate. Reading List has ads, but they are not disruptive. It also has a recurring payment option to remove them. But most important to me, there is the option to pay for the Pro Membership for life (and at a reasonable price—unlike other apps that only have a lifetime option to scam folks out of ~$200). I have been using this app since 2019, and will continue to use this app for as long as books and iPhones continue to exist. 11/10 Thank you for creating one of my few forever apps.
Stats
You can only see your reading statistics if you pay for pro. That’s pretty much the only reason why I downloaded it in the first place. So I deleted it right after.

It’s a goof app I’ve been using since I could remember
Does the basics, but very inefficient
It does the basics. Not a bad beta version. But it makes it terribly difficult to add books for various reasons: - search is quite stupid, but lacks filter options a stupid search needs even more than an intelligent one. Most annoying: It always puts device language first to the extend I often don’t even get the original or english version I want to select - loads of books not in the database. It should use multiple sources, not just google books - Adding multiple book selection always goes to reading list - no option to add them to finished right away. Very annoying, when you build up your history. They even bring up a warning pop-up saying so. Make this a choice pop-up instead and it’s solved! - No option to upload lists or load from ebook readers, amazon orders etc
Nützlich ABER
Die App ist gut ich würde mir nur wünschen das bei der Suchleiste um Bücher in seine TBR hinzuzufügen während des Suchens schon Bücher vorgeschlagen werden und nicht erst, nachdem man den kompletten Buchtitel eingegeben hat und abgeschickt hat. Leider funktionieren die Widgets bei neueren Iphone Modellen nicht. Ebenfalls würde ich es besser finden, wenn in den Buch Information weitere Teile der Reihe angezeigt werden würden und man diese auch gleich in seinen TBR hinzufügen könnte. Sonst muss man immer den Buchtitel zehnmal eingeben und hinzufügen. Außerdem wäre es auch cool die Leselisten anderer sehen zu können wenn sie diese öffentlich machen wollen und zu sehen wie Bücher bewertet wurden sowie einen Bereich in dem man nach neuen Büchern suchen kann. :)

This is the best book tracking app I’ve ever used, it’s intuitive and so easy to navigate, and I love getting to see all my reading progress!
Scam
I already paid for the app. Now you want me to pay again. Another ‘lifetime’? (I only have 1 lifetime). That’s called a scam. Nothing less. A subscription for anything without a constant flow of new content or service is also a scam. Nothing less. You are scammers. Frauds. Nothing less.
I love reading list
I love the reading list app so useful for organising my TBR but I’d love if I could pause or DNF books with the free app and not have to buy pro as I’m young so can’t really pay for it but other than that I love it !!!
Not for French books
The search engine is really bad. Quite a few times it couldn’t find a book with it’s title or isbn, while google.com could. Also French titles do not add capital letters to each word of a title. It would be nice to be able to decide whether we want capital letters or not at the beginning of the words. Otherwise, the app is fine.
The use of the app
When you click on the book, you see a highlighted start and when you press that, it says finish and the book automatically goes to finish section. This function was not well thought of and it’s disappointing.
Love love this app
It’s easy and has most books so you don't have to search for it. Easy to use.
Manually adding books not functional
I like this app and the fact you can add more than one date if you reread the book in the future to keep track of. However, with the last update I’ve been unable to manually add books that cannot be found with the search option or the barcode option. Because of that there are books that I cannot keep track off

Love Reading List!
I started using Reading List as a way to keep track of the books I read and my thoughts on them. It is a great (and free!) way to keep track of books you want to read, have read, and there are also features that allow you to organize the books you’ve read into categories. This feature is helpful to me as I read some books for school and others for pleasure. It is also very easy to scan the barcode of the book you’re reading or want to add to your TBR without having to manually search for it. I’m a huge fan of this app and will continue to use it for years to come! 🤗📚
Good but could be better
This is a great app but I do not like that you do have to have the pro to see your reading stats but other than that it’s pretty good but please try and change that to where you don’t need to pay for pro to be able to see your stats

Love this app but some issues
I’ve been using this app for a few years now (paid member) and I love it. I love that you can easily change book cover pictures and make lists to sort out your books. That being said, as some other reviewers have said, lately there have been problems looking up books and they won’t be listed (and they’ll be popular books not obscure ones) or if it is listed all the info is missing like the ISBN, page count, genre, publisher and sometimes even the summary. I really hope the issue is fixed soon because I really don’t want to have to find a new tracker app.
