What people like
- Super easy for non-tech people
- Works great with Google Docs
- Cheaper than owning a real machine
- Reliable if it works properly
What they complain about
- Support ignores refund requests
- Shares your private info without asking
- Charges you even when fax fails
- App gets very slow over time
Easy
Using the faxfile app is very easy, especially for someone that doesn’t have great technology skills. It’s user-friendly and quick.
Fax not received
I am receiving the delivered message but my doctors are NOT receiving the fax’s I sent . This is an inconvenience because then I have to reach out to different individuals and have them personally fax my doctors the documents needed; the same documents I have in my possession after a hassle getting them. I first thought this was a one time occurrence, but now multiple doctors from different facilities say they didn’t receive anything after a week of faxing it.
Almost 5 stars.
Only used it once so far spur the moment. Was definitely not complicated as others i have tried. I like it but i would like to see the actual image on the status page as well. Other wise. Its great inexpensive and convenient if you need to send a quick fax without any hassle.
It Used to be OK but recently not
I’ve been using it for more than a year with nice quick service. Recently it started to work very slowly taking ages to send just one text page, not a photo. Guys, could you please fix it before we decide to look for another app.
Simple to use
Great tool for sending documents! Simple and convenient.
App Shares Private Apple Account Info, with all fax recipients
I was shocked to find out my private Apple account information, including my personal email and phone number, was shared with FAX recipients without my knowledge, and without any kind of notification from the app or inclusion on the Fax receipt. The information is not included, requested or referenced in the Fax preparation tasks and questions, and you are not notified that all your information will be shared. When I contacted support, they first stated it was only for “app use”, but when I asked why my private contact info (which they automatically inserted into the sent fax without any indication showing on the user interface) was added to the “Sender information”, when it was already listed in “app specific” sections of the settings, there was no reply.
It works
It did what I asked it to do
Still th best
Fax File is still the best Faxing App I have encountered after at least ten years. Most straight forward and easy to use then several others I’ve tried. I always come back to Fax File. I highly recommend.
No transfer of credits
My iPhone was hacked and they refused to allow me to transfer MANY credits from my old account to my new one.
Very good application , it's not cheap if you are not in USA
Such an app saves you when need to send documents to old institutions. It looks to me a little expensive, but very easy to use
Wonderful option for a quick fax
In a hurry lady
Wrong
Made me purchase a cover page , then it didn’t even put it as the first page making it very confusing for the recipient and I had to send it again !!!
Good
Good little app
Always good to have this app on hand
Easy to use, have had it for yesrs
Did not want to refund my money
I had an incident where I got a new phone, I had an Android and switched to iphone, I contacted faxfile and told them I had credits on my android and I wanted them switched to my iphone, they told me the credits were non transferable which I understood so I asked for a refund to buy the credits on my iphone faxfile account, they ignored my email and stopped communicating with me. The fax service is very good but that is very unprofessional to just stop speaking with someone just because you don't want to give a refund👎!!!
Attaching Documents
An easier method of attaching documents or photographs from the iPad would be better. Can the same credits be used from both iPad and iPhone? When review is written, the review should not disappears when the nickname is taken. Thanks.
It’s been good 2 Me
In over 5 years…APP HAS NEVER FAILED ME YET!
Does not work for me
Two times I have tried to use this app, and purchased credits...each time it tells me the fax number is not a fax number, even though it is....it charges your credits even if it does not work and does not give you the chance to re-input the number. It had been a year or so in between try’s, I had forgotten it had not worked before...my own fault the second time...
Very handy to have! Not expensive to have!
Looked through lots of possible apps and this one is definitely the easiest and best for the money. :[) Note: One page is 10 credits not 1credit but I think it's still a good deal for my needs.
5 Stars
Reliable & Accessible
Very Disappointed
Spent a lot of money buying credits. My fax never went through and was charged each time.
Convenient & reputable
The best service out there. With the new times, not having locations like years ago to do the service at an affordable price - this is great. Ive never ran into any issues, easy accessing files, creating Cover pages, and honestly the prices are pretty much same or even better in the comfort of your home.
So disappointed
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS! IT IS FRAUD! It used to be a lifesaver but the last 3 months(since the day I purchased 600 credit) it stopped working! It is a scam and shame on you people for wasting my money on 600 credits that I can not use. Don't download this app or they will steal your money and don't answer any emails or support messages just like they did to me. Disgraceful!!!!!
My favorite fax app ever
I send one or two faxes a year, honestly, it is not enough to justify having a fax machine occupying space on my desk. So I have this great little app called faxfile that lives on my phone and sends my faxes perfectly every time. it is affordable, cost-effective, virtually flawless, and a real showstopper. I couldn’t say enough, nice things about it because I have never had a problem with it. Highly recommended.
Not good app especially for international faxing
You have to pay and your fax doesn't go through app says not a fax number when it defiantly is a fax number
My go to fax app
I have used this app for a number of years. I use this app instead of my fax machine because it is so easily integrated with my google doc app. I don’t ever find a need to print and fax now. I also use the cover page app associated with this as well. It is soooooooo easy to use. I highly recommend this app.
Used to be good
Sent fax 3 times, wouldn't send it. Just kept auto reconnecting. I paid 3 times for the same file. When you borrow credits, it converts them into Canadian so the amount shown is not the same as amount charged. This app can be a handy app but when it works. NOT RELIABLE.
