What people like
- Great for daily speaking practice
- Helps you stay consistent
- Simple and easy interface
What they complain about
- Support refuses to give refunds
- App crashes and glitches often
- AI pronunciation sounds terrible
- Hard to cancel subscription
Simple Interface
The interface is straightforward, so I can concentrate on learning..
False advertising
I subscribed through an ad offering hypnosis learning only to find there is no hypnosis learning available for my selected language.
Query
Is there a way to turn off predictive text in the App? It keeps changing my answers!!
Pretty much Duolingo but you pay for it
It’s not learning differently than Duolingo. And you have to pay for it.
Bot Talks Too Fast For Me
Some of the words are more clear but others are a bit garbled. I have been avoiding the Bot and using the ‘learn’ button instead. Sometimes the Bot is very slow to respond.
Speaking Focus
I appreciate that the app puts so much attention on actual speaking..
Fraudulent advertising and error ridden product.
This has been a terrible experience with this company. As other reviewers have stated, they are impossible to get a refund from. Their customer service while it looks accommodating is probably a bot and nothing is actually done—just endless promises that go nowhere. I wanted this because it has been consistently advertised as a program who can learn through hypnosis. I have numerous screen shots that show that. But there is no hypnosis with this program. It says it has a new test section that’s out but it’s not hypnosis—just someone talking. So they are advertising a fraudulent claim. Furthermore the program is awful. It’s glitchy. Wrong words. Wrong pronunciation. Half French—half English in one sentence. You have to answer it incorrectly or you can’t move on. It jumps sometimes through the program. The volume control between each set of exercises is not consistent. You’re either getting blasted or can barely hear what is being said. So you’re constantly keying your sound up and down. It will correct you but doesn’t give you the option on some of the units to repeat it and get it right. When you decide you’ve had enough and will ask to cancel your account and get a refund—they run you around with faux niceness, bit like answers and nothing gets done. They offer you a 70% discount for future renewals. Who in earth would want to keep renewing a program that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. Go to Testpilot and see the reviews. It’s embarrassing when you realise it’s the same issues you’re having and you didn’t research it enough. To date I cannot get a confirmation of cancellation or a refund. I would suggest people put a complaint in to the FTC for fraudulent practices.
So so
I really didn’t like the app. I noticed several mistakes on the translation. Even the little bit of Italian that I know I knew it was not the correct translation. I thought the AI generated tutor would be like someone assisting you in real life on a day-to-day basis with your conversation. It is not like that at all. You have to answer generated questions. Also, it is very, very difficult to cancel your subscription!
Only English Interface
Language Goals
The progress features make it easier to stay focused on my language goals..
Garbage and rip off
This is the worst app ever. They also won’t give you your money back so buyer be ware. Absolute trash. It’s like freshman year Spanish teacher. Use lingotalk instead. *update* customer service reached out via app review and asked me to reach out to the company again. I did. No response from the company. Customer service there is a joke.
Careful of those auto charges
I didn’t find the platform very useful. It was clunky to start and then when it did work, I was consistently corrected even after being correct for multiple attempts. So I gave up and went back to other platforms that worked. Unfortunately, i forgot to set a reminder to cancel my subscription and got auto charged. The company has no forgiveness. So I’ve made a reluctant donation. I’d give this 1 star but it did at least use the correct language.
Not always working
This app does not work most of the time. When it works, looks ok, but it fails constantly to function. I do NOT recommend it
AI Practice
The AI practice feature gives me another way to improve speaking skills..
Misleading Refund Policy
Definitely a SCAM!! Downloaded the app to learn Latin American Spanish and learned post purchase they didn’t offer it. The site and app both say refunds available if unhappy in 30 days but their real policy only covers technical limitations. Despite numerous attempts and referencing the legal requirement to post accurate refund policies, I’m out over $100. Beware and look for more legitimate apps.
Speed
I would prefer if they would speak a bit slower
Horrible accent. App bugs.
I cannot believe I paid for this app. It’s buggy, and the AI tutor does not pronounce words well.
Learner
Does not have any grammatical rules
Comfortable Practice
Private AI conversations can provide a comfortable environment for practicing new phrases...
Impossible to cancel
This app continues to charge me every 6 months and I can find no way to stop the charges. Beware. It gets worse. After frustrating emails they have me log in to my account to cancel but they have no record of my account. So they extract money from me and I have no way of cancelling and their support won’t cancel for me. Thieves.
App is good but is a little confuse
When I finished every exercise I don’t know how to continue, there is no a button o icon, I need more information how to proceed
Flawed and unrealiable
The app got stuck on a loop and won’t progress to new level. The app is just not ready to be charging people this amount of money. Support won’t refund my money and told me to fill in a cancellation form that they haven’t sent. Then they’ve told me they have cancelled my subscription their end, so it won’t renew. Yeah right. Very poor customer service. Am contacting my bank to block future payments. It’s a shame. This whole experience could have been worthwhile.
Frustration
I cant update it as its not working properly on iphone 16. Cant chat ai to select hands free. Frustrating to waste so much time trying to make it work. It works on my samsung but the iphone is my main phone
Feedback Support
Immediate feedback can help learners identify areas that need additional practice..
Poor content
Really basic stuff and lack of content. The “advanced” listening exercises they play words like “school” “lake” and etc …. It does not worth at all
Motivierendes Lernumfeld!
Not sure
I have been paying for 3 periods and I have not been able to suffused this, partly because of me, and partly because I what they said would happen hasn’t happened ( First time Log in..)
Ok
Ok
AI Conversations
AI conversations provide an accessible way to practice different everyday scenarios....
EXTRA CHARGE
Be aware of this app. They offer a trial period. I got a trial on their website, but in the app you can't cancel; you have to email them to cancel the service. In my case, they charged me. I didn’t want the service anymore. I contacted them, and they refused the refund. Reviewing past emails, I see they were going to charge $57 for renewal, but they changed my card to $89.99.
Morning Italian Habit.
Been doing Italian every morning with coffee. Tiny habit, but I am finally consistent...
Misleading Adverrising
Great concept, poor app. False advertising.
Not sure yet
Seems ok so far- good German explanations
Supuestamente aprendes gramática , pronunciación y a hablar pues yo no aprendí nada!
Not quite the same like in the ad but ok
easy chat app to learn
Morning Italian Habit
Been doing Italian every morning with coffee. Tiny habit, but I am finally consistent.
SCAM
This app doesn’t work. It’s glitchy, the ai doesn’t work, it doesn’t correct errors, and the hypnosis function is completely impossible to use. They also will not refund you despite their own refund policy. DO NOT PURCHASE
Excellent Tool
Perfect companion for improving speaking skills with enjoyable and personalized AI conversations daily...
Scam
They make it very difficult to cancel after you see how shoddy the product is.
A little misleading
I was so excited thinking it was to be just like in the ad. What I really want is to get used to listening, not so much reading and texting, but it’s still a good app and I plan to have fun with it.
Reinier
App contains many mistakes and errors. It crashes and the AI pronunciación is horrible
