What people like
- Highly accurate when weather is clear
- Great for planning battery charging times
- Very cheap yearly subscription fee
- Easy to set up your system
What they complain about
- Ads are intrusive and hard to close
- Free version is basically unusable
- Forecast accuracy drops with cloud cover
- App often fails to load properly
Great app
This is a really useful app. Not always 100% accurate but usually there or there about. You do have to pay to use as the ads are unbearable. But it is worth £8.99 a year.
Fake app
All it does is load a game every time you try to use it.
Full screen ads you can’t close
The basics of the app are great. Clear info provided and in itself great But unless you pay monthly you get ads. That’s fine - but far too often you get full screen ads which do not go away after watching them. You end up forcing the app to close - reopen and the get the same unclose-able app. If there was an option to purchase outright I would take that for no adds but won’t add another subscription.
moyen!
Great
Great app
Too many ads!
Can’t even get though the set up due to the ridiculous amount of ads!
Inaccurate at best
Inaccurate
Too many ads
Solar forecasting seems accurate. But don’t bother using the app without a paid subscription - it’s unusable due to the number of ads and how disruptive they are. Because of that, I’ve deleted it.
Great App for predicting power to charge battery
I find it very useful for predicting amount of power that will be developed on any given day to plan charging electric cars and house batteries
Adverts make this app unusable
Very poor free version. So poor infact, that I’m not willing to give the paid for version a chance. Popup advertising make this unusable.
Inaccurate
Despite accurate system description and regular update of history, forecast always very low. I was hoping for an app with real accuracy but very disappointing
Trotz Jahresabo kein Widget!
Jahresabo bezahlt nach seit 01.08.2025 kein Widget mehr! Schlecht! War mit ein Hauptgrund für das Abo! Tut es dagegen! Funktioniert sonst sehr gut! Die Werte sind sehr dicht am Original! Nach dem letzten Update 01.10. wieder kein Widget
Solar EV Charging
Have previously charged the car whenever the sun was out (9am to 4pm), which, if the day was cloudy, would leave me with a drained battery for the night. This simple easy to use software, predicts for me if I should charge or not that day or later in the week. Low subscription (£9 a year!!) and really good response to query by e-mail (less than 2 hours for a simple question).
Too many ads.
You have to watch ads to even read the privacy policy. Says it all. Deleted.
Unbrauchbar
Zu viel Werbung
Sehr präzise aber zu viel Werbung
No way to get a feel for premium features
Very quick to ask for upsell without any good way to try premium features
Ok, not great
Better than the other app with similar name. This one at least works. It can’t configure tracking panels. The ads are ridiculous. Good news is a lot cheaper for paid versions than the similar app.
Great to plan for charging solar batteries
Despite some negative reviews, I rely on this app heavily to send my a daily alert about the next days sun output for my solar panels so I can plan my battery charging and electricity use. Don’t export to grid so this app is very helpful in making the most of my spare watts.
Unable to get past ad
When I try to select a forecast it brings up an ad that appears to go on forever, or at least longer than I was willing to wait. I saw no way to exit the ad. I would be willing to pay for ad-free version but I want to try it out first. How about giving the first week for free?
Decent app killed by ads
The app works and is easy to use but the full screen ads that can take upto two minutes before you get a dismiss button are overly intrusive
Hit and miss
I’ve paid to go add free as I think the effort so far is worth the investment that is as long as it’s used to improve the App. Some days it’s accurate but more often than not it isn’t. I don’t think the weather service used (if any) is accurate enough. On days without a cloud in the sky it’s pretty much spot on, but any cloud cover and that’s the calculation out of the window. The forecast also changes during the day and removes previous forecast, so you can’t use it to plan if using with battery storage. The hourly forecast graph isn’t that helpful either, maybe a line over the graph tracking the actual time, with a calculation showing how much should have been produced against the forecast? A clear hourly breakdown instead of a graph would probably be better, and would also allow you to cross reference with a more localised weather app? I’d also like to see historical data to be accessible.
Great app - if you subscribe
The free app utterly unusable due to ads - however if you subscribe it’s one of the best and very useful. I use it to decide when to charge my Solar batteries
Don’t waste your time
I paid for the extra functionality as I have solar on 3 aspects. The app totally miscalculates yield. It’s normally under estimates by about 3 times what I actually achieve. Totally useless.
Buggy needs work
Good attempt but needs more work. Often doesn’t load properly and hangs with spinning sun icon, and there is an annoying orange block of pixels always on the screen for some reason.
Yesss! Date discrepancy has been fixed!!
Thank you for fixing the issue which had been showing a 24-hour discrepancy in USA. Forecasts are the most accurate of multiple apps that I check on
Doesn’t work
Worked for a couple of days. Now fails to load any forecast so effectively useless. Tried reinstalling but same problem. Deleted.
Super App
Adjusts on the fly
At first it appeared to be accurate but I noticed it adjusts on the fly. For instance, if the sun starts to come out it suddenly changed to saying good production. This may make sense in a way except it adjusts the previous hours where it has been overcast to say good production. If the weather changes adjustment is good only if it adjusts the future not the past.
Finally a PV forecaster that works
Give this one a go, it’s fairly accurate 😀
I so wanted to get it working..
But in every step I was hit with ad after ad after bad ad that I couldn’t cancel. Either make us pay for the app or make it usable if it’s free.
