What they complain about
- Support is slow and unhelpful
- Runs get stuck in review queues
- App crashes or freezes often
- Hidden subscription charges surprise users
Great app
This is a great app, the game is fun and motivates you to run!
Charged after cancelling
I cancelled way before the free trial was over but was still charged
Fun so far
So far it’s a fun app. I live in the country so it’s really hard to get territory because most of my runs are just down and black.
Doesn’t work with Apple Watch
Like the app, unfortunately it doesn’t work/show up on my Ultra 3.
Solid App
The main element of competition works well, and that’s what the app is all about. The app has some trouble in accurately tracking pace, to the point that the math will be visibly wrong even after I run it concluded.
Inspired
Great app for the competitive market!
Useless support
Constant syncing issues plus useless clanker support bot....no thanks!
Like the app concept and it is fun to use
I do like the app, but what is frustrating is that my long runs keep getting flagged for manual review. Which causes a delay in Seeing my territory that I have claimed. By the time it is manually reviewed, someone else has already claimed part or all of my territory. It might be helpful if I knew why my runs are getting flagged. Also there are other runs which are obviously fake, almost like they are somehow using a drone or something because the runs are going through several fenced properties and through neighborhood ponds and through buildings and multiple houses etc. Not sure how those runs count.
Cool Idea, poorly implemented
The leaderboards are only for ‘global’ or ‘country’. There’s no local leaderboards, if there was county or city leaderboards it would be so much more fun. Otherwise you’ve got 40,000 places to climb which seems a bit much.
Would like a wheelchair option
Fun app and a great concept but would be great if there was a wheelchair option rather than just walk/run, like the one Strava has.
Move more
Been helping me move more
Was great, now too glitchy
The latest version has far too much lag and is too glitchy. I used to pick my running routes based on the live state of territory. That now doesn’t work. Raise it to support who come back indignant with objectively wrong answers. Can be saved but needs to be quick.
Great way to keep motivated
If you’re competitive like me, this is a great way to get out the door when you don’t want to. Keep the competitive juices flowing and get little rewards for doing what you’d be doing anyway. Forces me to get out and run new places as well. Sometimes the app is hiccupy and customer service is a little awkward as it’s an Australian App and I’m in the US.
Never used it
I wish they would tell you that it has a subscription and how much it costs before they get your information by having you sign up. Never used the free trail. Just uninstalled. So no idea if the app is any good.
Good but Needs Further Development
Good Concept and Gamification of running. New Update makes what was easy to find and navigate to harder. Further Development and thought needed to make the game compelling over a long period.
Back to running
It got me back out, even if its only been 2 times, that’s 2 times more than I would have
There monetization scheme misses the mark
I get the app , excited to check it out and then I’m confronted by an option to try it out for 7 days then I’ll be charged $50/yr. Before I even decide I like it. Value proposition is low. I’m not quiete sure if I’ll be into it , but the thought of paying $50 before I have even tried it out did not work for me.
Hi
The game/app is decent but o wish there was I way to view only your lifetime territories
Schade
Great and fun app if not for one personal gripe
A fantastic and refreshing idea to encourage moving around outdoors, however I do feel the same premise is heavily flawed by a lack of ‘effort’ categorisation; I think a huge improvement would be to have layers in the world map, whereby if you claim a territory at an avg pace of 7min/mi, you claim that territory in all layers (eg sprint/run/job/walk), however if a user subsequently claims the same territory at 20min/mi pace, then they only capture the territory in the ‘walk pace’ layer, meaning the original user retains the territory in all ‘layers’ above ‘walk pace’. I frequently have territory stolen by users who have claimed it at a much slower pace, which I’m not discouraging, but I would feel more inclined to involve myself more with this app if effort to claim territory is a consideration in how territory is captured and retained.
Download it, trust me.
What a fun competition!
Mess
Too expensive
Entertaining
Good app for active ppl
Cool concept, poorly executed
Over flowing with pointless and frustrating gamification that mostly adds nothing but interruptions to spin or click. Makes no sense that runs don’t auto crop, or just auto capture what ever territory you enclose. UI desperately needs love. Basically only design to reward running in circles. So silly
Feature needed
The Concept Hits Hard but where is the application with the Apple Watch. Pls rework that Part.
Good
Great. It was very fun and u enjoy the app
App doesn't start up
Just goes onto a loading screen and that's all it's done since downloading it! Have no idea what the app is actually like
Interesting app
UI can feel a little too complex
Fahrrad Option
Gets me out more consistently
When I wake up at 5:30 in the morning, one of the biggest questions I have is, what route should I run this morning? This app certainly helps to answer that question because I can see where I am missing territory and quickly loop that off as part of whatever ron had planned for the day. Integration with garmin watch is really great. Overall I enjoy but prob not enough to spring for the paid version
App doesn’t work
I tried to start a run but the app wanted me to open up some settings first. They were already open so i closed them, restarted the app, opened them and still nothing so i have given up and deleted the app now
Achievements
Amazing app to use. However, one thing you could do to improve this app is to make it feel like more of an achievement depending on how much you captured. For example, you could give trophies for hitting a certain milestone. Like your first total kilometre squared.
good but not easy
Putting a review only to get XP lol. Good app but too focused on the XP levels and trying to make you pay. I understand but it’s making not fluid the app to understand. But the app is motivating to go for a run
Getting after it
Been my best with this app
Horrible Customer Suppory
The customer support take weeks to answer to one message then take weeks again to reply to your answer. Even when I have paid for premium they take ages
Great game
I think INTVL is a great game which makes running enjoyable. I love the new update with all the cool new features. I would recommend
Rad
Rad
You need to pay
Deleted as soon as it asked for me start a free trial before paying after 7 days. Figure out a way for it to be free and no ads, might be interested! No additional benefit to this app that my fitness apps don’t already do except map out an area. Not even sure if it syncs with my iwatch as that wasn’t clear.
Good
Not bad tbf.
Review
Great app! Easy and fun to use. Great to keep you motivated and have a little more fun on your runs.
Pointless
I downloaded the app as it look like a fun way to get out running. I logged my first run at 32km hoping to gain some territory in my area but my run got flagged for manual review and has still not been uploaded after 2 days it said I was #168 in the que but now I am #286 in the queue. No point in using the app as my runs don’t get uploaded 😡
Where are my PRs?
All in all a perfect way to motivate yourself to run or bike more. Unfortunately they removed PRs from the profiles with the last update.:(
