Sneaky and deceptive
I canceled my subscription on apple settings like it tells you to do only to find out it was still taking money for a further 4 weeks!! and I had to log on online to cancel it! This is sneaky behavior. Daylight robbery
Surf forecast app Review
Get it more or less right most of the time, except when they don’t. A good app so long as you aren’t taking day off work based on positive surf forecast. Still true.
App worse than website
Can only see 6 days of forecast on the app but 12 days on the website using the same account. Make 12 days available on the app please!
No more swell and wind direction on the map
One thing that I used to love about this app was to be able to zoom on a surf spot and see the arrows with the wind direction and swell direction on the exact spot. After the update these aren’t shown on the map anymore
Great Report of Surf Conditions
Surf-Cast is very helpful in previewing surf conditions in preparation for an outing. Very accurate.

Surf Forecast Locations and Accuracy
Surf Forecast is pretty good and gives the general conditions. It could do with more locations to give information that is a bit more rich. I’d also say sometimes the waves get a lot bigger due to tides and currents and it pays to be really careful when basing a trip from the app information. It would be good if there were some features in there which showed this like “with currents up to 0.5m+” or something like that. It would really improve the app.
Not refreshing
Forecast usually is fine but the app is often not updating and I still need to check the website where I can refresh the page. In the app no option to refresh and even when I logout and quit the app and then login back the data for today is still old. That’s very frustrating taking into consideration that I am paying for premium account

Most reliable app
While I am not a surfer… I AM an open water swimmer. This app lets me know what I am in store for on any given day. I have looked and compared it to others and I have found it to be the best!

Realmente cualquier otra app del tiempo le sacas el mismo resultado para interpretar las olas el viento las mareas, y ademas está es de pago.
Not for Great Lakes!!
Works great on the oceans, but no tidal info for the Great Lakes. There is plenty of data to link to this app. Perhaps my post will motivate the developers to get to work.
Wave height accurate, ratings are not
It correctly predicts the height of waves at half a dozen spots in the bay area, but it will randomly suggest a spot is pumping (gold stars) when it’s literally so flat and mushy the wave is not catchable. Probably over indexing on wind and under indexing on tides and stuff. Its also alleging a cross breeze is an offshore on some breaks which are oriented wrong. Also annoying to have to drag a slider to inspect the ratings at different times instead of showing me everything at a glance like the other apps.
Better than Surfline
I prefer this app over Surfline because it doesn’t override my audio like Surfline does. As someone with autism, I’m sensitive to apps that take control of sound without warning. This app respects that, which makes a big difference for accessibility. Overall, Surf Forecast does a much better job in terms of usability and accessibility

Generally a good guide
The app works pretty well but quite often over estimates the wave size. Like the power number which together with the other data sets gives a good enough overview to make decision.

The weather, wind and surf prediction is ridiculous and far away from the real events. You could also ask a frog for his weather prediction and the accuracy would be the same.
Accurate and detailed
Once you figure out how to read it, this app has a lot of great info and has access to a ton of breaks and I find it to be very accurate. I have the paid version which I find to be worth it.

I can count on surf-forecast to provide current & future conditions to keep me safe while I’m fishing. I have tried other surf apps but I think surf-forecast is far superior to anything else I have tried.
Bait and switch
Great surf data, nice format, but website is free, whereas app requires $$ to see next week. What are they thunking??!!

Very useful but…
The app is very useful to check predictions of water sports, some spots are not correctly placed on the map (the name tips are placed some meters to the left from the spot) and the website gives more information login with free accounts not available on the app, like the hourly prediction for two days. Otherwise… Thanks for your effort!!
