i've been trying to download new games to get off of instagram and i am so hooked on this. the ui is awesome, the bunny is the coolest, and i love the haptics. great job team
Used to be fun
Been playing for months but lately they have been using words that virtually no one has ever heard of. Took the fun out.
Please change cursor auto positioning
The whole point of this game is solving puzzles quickly, is it not? The fun of it is in racing yourself to see if you can beat personal bests… right? Ok, great. Please change the way the highlighted box that accepts the next entry for a letter defaults based rigidly on rote order rather than intelligently defaulting to the next EMPTY box. In nearly every game, it’s almost impossible not to type over your own entries and jumble the words because the default keeps highlighting FILLED boxes and placing new entries in places that are already taken, forcing you to slow down and reposition the highlighter manually after every single entry. It’s a maddening issue and the game would be a lot more fun if it were fixed.
Suddenly won’t load
Game is ok. I wish there was an option to get a hint for just a letter. Anyway suddenly since this morning the game isn’t loading.

Glitches! Why can’t this game just jump over to the next box after placing a letter in a box! This game makes me crazy!

I don’t like word puzzles normally but this game is great :)
Extremely confusing
No hints unless you use the hints and if you try to use the hints they don’t work most of the time. You’re just supposed to guess what letter fits where and it seems like letter sudoku? I don’t know. It doesn’t give you any information on how to play or walk you through a puzzle so you get the hang of it. It just tosses you in the mix and you have to guess everything from start to finish. Such a confusing game and one that I deleted from my iPad. Horrible concept and horrible execution.
Really good. Just one thing
Ok, I just downloaded the app and it is super awesome! However I just really want you to add a level creator feature because if I was able to to make my own levels that would be awesome
Nice idea; poor implementation
Two out of four puzzles, I had to guess arbitrarily because one of the words is not actually a word. I suppose technically “doest” is a word, but I don’t think it’s been used since the King James Bible, where it was archaic even for 1611, much less 2026. Also, the UX is clumsy. I don’t know what the rule is for where it moves the cursor next, but it seems to always go wherever you least want or expect it to go. And it’s hard to tell from the UI that you’re about to overwrite an existing letter, so you do so and then have to figure out how to undo that and then manually click where you wanted it to go. Maybe with enough experience I could get used to this, but I can’t imagine wanting to get that much experience.
Addictive game but sometime the hints and definitions are just plain wrong
It is an addictive game and most of the bugs a have been fixed but the definitions and hints ar just WRONG. Since when are walls the plural of a spring of water?
If you enjoy word puzzles…
Then this game is for you! IMO this is the perfect word game. 1. If you like to maintain a streak you can try the 3 daily puzzles. If you’re sick one day or if you forget, you have a chance to play 7 days in a row to make it up. Oh, and on these dailies you have unlimited hints! If you don’t care about streaks you can just play whenever. 2. Then there are the monthly puzzle books, 30 regular puzzles and 30 tricky puzzles a month. Here you only get 6 hints but you can earn back hints you used by completing a puzzle perfectly. The first few are easy but they get harder as the month passes. If you hang in there as the month goes by you will find the themed puzzles which are even more fun. Took me a while to get to love this app and learn how it works but now I try to play every day since I love word games to wake up my brain. : )
Makes no sense
Played one level and it locked me into a puzzle where no matter what one word just could not be solved. The “hint” was so unhelpful too using purposefully vague definitions and using the word itself (crossed out of course) in the definition. I’m half convinced the puzzles were put together by an ai.
Request for Archive to display the last month viewed via Archive instead of the current month.
I have completed over 700 daily puzzles and at times I go back to previous months to solve unsolved Daily puzzles via the Archive button. However, the Archive button always resets to current month and as such, I have to tap back over 40 months through to get to a month where there are unsolved puzzles. Is it possible to have the archive button retain the last month worked on instead of defaulting to the current month?
Issue with words
1. Okra is plural, prof is slang. You can’t allow slang only when you need to. 2. Nope definition is to hit on the head. (What?!)
Fun, but the hints are awful in some cases.
“8 letter word relating to theme” is not a hint!
True test
This game really exercises one’s vocabulary. It’s fun and challenging.
Poorly designed and implemented, buggy
Painful gameplay. User interface is the worst and least intuitive of all from this publisher, and the “themed” puzzles have many discrepancies. Zone text entry is frustrating, counterproductive, and has multiple bugs (eg jumps back and forth along the middle of linear words, cycles between only two out of four letters in the Zone, etc). Multiple other UI bugs too. Even the delete key is unhelpful for making corrections.
Fighting the game
The bad first: - the cursor automatically change to the next location where you can input a letter and it seems random so you’ll be fighting that constantly and it’s annoying. - achievements don’t always register. I am a completionist and the stats suggest I should have received every achievements. The good: It’s fun, it’s easy, it’s forgiving, overall another good game by Zack and team. I did their Sudoku and had the same good vs bad issues as this one. I’d play another one from them.

Game just lost all of my progress on one of the puzzles. Did it forget I only had 3 hints left? Of course not…
Fun but has issues
According to the game, the word “slave” is not a word. Yet, it does accept an entire category of two letter words that amount to impolite noises. It’s also unclear as to where the definitions are sourced. Too often, the definition given is simply wrong.
Incredibly fun!
Update: The save issue has been fixed, so upping my rating to 5 stars. If you enjoy word games, this is a must try. Excellent game and one of my new favorites. The save and quit feature does not work so you lose all your puzzle progress if you have to stop. Once that’s fixed, this is an easy 5 stars.
UI is terrible
“Controlling” the board and letters is insane. I’ve driven 100 year old vehicles that have better control. Not worth the time.
Good game
Good game. Only one issue I have noticed is that the completion streak does not sync between devices completely.
Lacks quality control
Don’t bother using the hints they are terrible and only obscure the screen. Controls were programmed by a banana. Instead of giving you fair challenges that are fun to solve they just give you words so obscure, your only means of solving them is to randomly try every letter combination. Finally called it quits after the solution to the last puzzle was “gits, aka, gamin, and ins”
IDK
Can’t figure out how to play and there’s no tutorial. Sudoku by these same guys is incredibly confusing because there’s so many extra features and oddities. The games seem polished but the learning curve is too much. And what does the rattlesnake button in settings do.. How am I supposed to know what rattlesnake means.
Underrated. One of the best puzzle games out.
This is easily the best word puzzle game on Apple Arcade, and one of the best I’ve played in general. Lots of puzzles, tricky without being impossible, great difficulty balance.

Frustrating usability
It’s close to a fun game, but the usability problems cause frequent frustration. Quite what the logic is behind where the cursor goes next is baffling. If I’ve already populated a letter in a crossing word, maybe that shouldn’t be the next choice for where to focus the cursor?? Also the long, unskippable delay at the end of a level for no apparent reason - even with the stats turned off Please fix these annoyances

Really liked this game until it started giving fake definitions from wikitionary.com Since when is “treed” to chase someone up a tree?
Brilliant
I have fallen in love with this game, it was difficult at first to find a strategy/rhythm, and is still difficult to solve but its really grabbed my attention and I find myself needing to complete one more puzzle before I put my phone down - and i have a really short attention span!

Fun game, frustrating input schemes
The game offers three ways to do input, but not the obvious fourth one that’s what I actually want: Zone+Skip. All three other modes do an impressive job of misunderstanding which space should be filled next vs the intuitive That said I’ve played for two months straight and enjoy the daily challenges. It’s a good word game that could be great with some more attention paid to some easy QOL improvements.
Letter entry degraded over classic knotword.
In knotwords classic on ipad: 1 finger touch: selects input text start cell 1 finger drag: selects input text direction and extent 2 finger drag: moves grid 2 finger stretch: zooms in / out In knotwords+ on ipad: 1 finger touch’ selects input text start cell. 1 finger drag: moves grid 2 finger drag: moves grid 2 finger stretch: zooms in / out AND selects input text direction and extent This is clearly a bug. It is impossible to tell knotwords+ where you want entered letters to go without either repeatly touching the cells which is slow, or zooming in an out of the grid. Also a way to import the user data from classic knotwords seems to be lacking. Happy to rerate if the interface issue is fixed..
Save and quit doesn’t work
I really like this game but the save and quit button doesn’t work. Whenever I go back to finish a puzzle, it has deleted my progress even though I hit save.
Absolutely Love!
Nothing to complain about with the game! Would recommended and better control system. May be a better way to delete as well as select the boxes instead of just the three options give. Either way, fabs to play! And makes some hard puzzles!

good game but-
i love this game but the way there’s no logical path for the letters send me up a wall. the letters can be in a line straight down and it will still try to jump from spot 1 to spot 3 to spot 4, back to 1. it makes literally no sense whatsoever and ruins my daily times.
Frustrating
The backspace bar and word select is the worst. I was was will to look past it because it was fun and challenging until I got to the “weather” category. 9 letter words with a “Z” and the only hint you get is “9 letter word that has to do with weather.” Unless you’re a meteorologist you’re just guessing and fumbling around with the backspace and word selection. I guess I can’t play anymore.

Give it a try
Fell in love with this game a while ago. 200+ days ago in fact. Is there any way to bring my streak over from the regular game? Prob not huh? I will prob stuck with this version since it isn’t paywalled. Not that you don’t deserve the money. It’s a great game and a really satisfying concept.
No German localization
Und wieder ein für uns nutzloses Spiel, nur Englische Vokabeln und auch für Menschen mit guten Englischkenntnissen unspielbar. And again a game useless for us, only English vocabulary and also unplayable for people with good English skills.
SOLID GAME. BUT…
Given that the “plus” version is in Apple Arcade. A paid subscription… would be nice to have some sort of leaderboard amongst Game Center friends. Also, having a way to minimize the hint would be perfect. Tends to get in the way of the puzzle once a hint is used.

Fun, hints need work
The game is fun to play once you figure out how it works, but the hints really need some work. On the themed puzzles, the hints for flowers are usually “it falls in the “flower” category….super helpful. Hints/definitions overall could use some touch up.

If you like haptic feedback you’ll enjoy it even more since there’s no way to turn it off. I will be rating it a five star because star rating system are crap and we all know they 1 through 4 is truly a zero while the five is the only real valued rating. Switching to a 1-10 rating system I would give this game a 7/10, with haptic feedback option it would be solid 9/10. Edit: thank you so much for replying to my review! It’s 10/10 now that I can turn off the haptic feedback! Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Great game
I love the game and I play it almost every day. I have only had one instance where I was completely confused. Nope does not mean to hit someone over the head. It got a real big giggle out of me and my friends. Thank you so much for this game.
Fun game, a lotttt of bugs
Trying to access puzzles in the tricky puzzle book is like trying to crack a secret code. You tap on one and it jumps to the next in line, you tap back, and tap again, and it moves. You have to like, slide slowly and kind of hold and then tap just to get it open. Also the “save & quit” function does NOT save at all. Extremely frustrating for the tricky puzzles. If you use that, or if you swap to another app for too long and come back to this later, all of your progress is gone. It’s also rather buggy to try and correctly tap which word you want a definition of if you were looking at those after solving a puzzle (or even just after filling a clue). And having the definition of a word just be “fits the puzzle theme of x” is a horrible definition. I also don’t get the deciding factor for themed puzzles on which words fit the theme and which don’t. “Stormy” and “Drizzled” aren’t theme clues for weather, but thermometer and airmass are?
good puzzle, not optimized
well, the hints weren’t explained, but once you get hints, they cover the game too much on an iphone 14. hard puzzles and fun.
