Bias to non Westpac cards
I have found that non westpac cards are near impossible to get the tap to activate the purchase , overall it’s extremely poor at connecting to cards. I only use it it very rare emergency now and that’s it works even then. Later model iPhone max pro.
Great but fussy
This is gods gift to the cashless society, but it takes practise to get the card just right. Card chip has to be on top left of phone to work.
Had much trouble with card payments
The app is easy to use worked great tapping phone to phone, but it wouldn’t work on a few cards.. so embarrassing that I couldn’t take payments.. it worked on some and not others… we were holding it correctly too.
Combank card not working
Always having issues when customers use combank cards - no prob with combank mobile wallet or other cards

I agree with the previous comments regarding the app having poor card reading ability. I've had no problems with phone tap which works quickly & well. I have followed the instructions regarding card positioning, but it still very rarely works. Sending invoices defeats the purpose of having the app. I'm considering switching apps if the functionality does not improve.
Cards don’t work
I find a lot of cards won’t work on the app or it will take several times to work very frustrating for me and customers

No ability to put references on payments for tracking purposes
Doesn't read properly
Whilst a great idea, the constant embarrassment of the app not reading the card then having to send an invoice for payment and chase it kind of defeats the purpose. I can tap and pay anywhere so it's not the case but it's terrible at reading cards frustrating.

So easy to use. Great customer service too.
Unable to set password
Registered and went to set up account on the app. Failed to pass through the final prompt of setting my new password stating an issue with the verification code (even though I completed that step). called support and spent over an hour of time without resolution. giving up for now but thought others may face the same issue.
Great app
I wanted to leave a review since they’re so many negative ones. I do agree setting up in a branch was a bit of a pain, - they should implement a online option but I had very helpful merchants. Once you have you business account set up the app has so many cool features and it’s so easy to use, you can keep track of all revenue, add items, have invoices There is a small percentage charge per sale which I believe is around 1.4% It’s a great tool for anyone with a small business :)

App only works half the time, have to delete it and reinstall, very inconvenient, I have an I phone 14 so can’t be that hard to improve this app, why does it only work half the time ???
Great alternative but…
Using iOS 17 with a bug where the tap to pay works intermittently. Have to restart the phone every time if the app is not used for a brief period. The NFC does not activate when trying to checkout.
Good efpos system for small business
I started 2 years ago and love the service was amazing to use for quick payments

Merchant fees charged to business account don’t seem to equal the transaction fees it’s supposed to charge me of 1.4%.

Easy to use and very convenient when you’re able to connect to the 5G network for the Internet
Useless
App only works less than 50% of the time, have spoken with Westpac who put me onto the developers and their “fix” hasn’t worked either, so glad I didn’t delete the old PayWay app!!
Unreliable
Frequently App won't process payments- you have to delete & reinstall App with App updating itself - frustrating - if you are not prepared for this regular occurrence!!
Perfect Tool for running a small business
Everything is fantastic, invoices, etc. only thing I wish on the website you could pay invoices instead of only in the app. Otherwise great!
Stops working randomly
Works well at the start but always ends up breaking and requiring a fresh install. Clearly not the only person having this problem. Needs to be looked into and fixed. No point each of us calling up.

This App is the absolute worst I have EVER USED! 10 Phone calls to Westpac merchants 2 calls to QUEST who made the App are absolutely useless! One call to Apple so NO nothing wrong with my IPhone 12 Pro . I have decided to DELETE THIS USELESS APP and seek another eftpos provider. Thanks for a week of headaches I’m done !
Over the phone payment
App and merch is very good. I have never had any problems with this app. They need to have an option to take payment over the phone or manually insert card details. Also have an option to download an PDF receipt.
respectfully suggest that you are not ready yet
after many failed attempts and phone calls, finally completed an application for eftpos air. the support line didnt know what to do, the website lacks helpful hints or explanations suggest you need to ask the first 100 applicants about their experiences
User friendly
Really user friendly and quick to setup
Not easy to open a joint business account
Westpac make it really difficult to open a business account to be able to use Westpac air features. You can’t make an appt online for a branch you can only call your local branch, and they do not answer, goes straight to voicemail (I tried about 6-7 local branches). The one I did get through to advised a 2 weeks wait to open a new account. Have gone to a competitor that made it much easier to open an account and take tap payments

To set up a account you have to go into a branch. Everything is online nowadays. Maybe try look into making it online to set up a account.
