Love it
Classic done well. Could move faster in the early game and I didn’t love the forced tutorials but not enough to take away from my overall experience
Fun
I liked the game until I was hospitalized, set me back. Ok, no big deal. Someone is playing on my phone using a different account name. I realize I went backwards. But somebody is having fun. This needs to be investigated. Please let me know, I will be notifying Apple.
🙂
Fun game
Game has a big glitch that has never been fixed
Reviewers have been writing for years that the 1000 coins supposedly earned when rising a level is not actually credited to the account. However, developers have never fixed this problem.
Repeated questions ruined it
I lost interest once I started seeing questions I had already answered. I guess it was fun for a day or two.
Millionaire
More stimulating than a handful of Valuim + Norco, washed down with a fifth of Jack Daniels.
Strange bug
I’ve been enjoying playing the game but recently when I went to check on my first “expedition” the game froze. I did a swipe up and close and then reopened the game and went to check again and the exact same thing happened. It’s not good when a whole section of the game is inaccessible. There are also typos in the questions which is truly ridiculous in this day and age when you can even use AI to proofread!!
Good game :)
IS SO ADDICTIVE but I have been playing this game for a year and I still haven’t gotten ranked up
UK vs US
It seems the Apple Arcade version is extremely heavy on UK related questions and some questions literally make it sound as if the player is in the UK as it ask about “what’s this called in the US” almost 95% of the TV and Music related questions are very heavy UK. I’m a bit up on Uk tv but not that much just curious if an update was available or something. Love the game but yeah
Good game with some disappointments
I just returned to this game after a while and it seems better than before, however I was just asked the same question twice in-a-row for one match on questions 14 and 15 (the millionaire question) which seems stupid. But most annoying is I play loads of matches and Tikal doesn’t unlock for me. Way more than 7… and why doesn’t the Tikal page tell you how many more you need to play to unlock? Basic features!
Great
I love this 10 times more than normal Jeopardy. I’m currently like 10 1/2 so normal jeopardy was really hard but I love this game. It’s super fun and some of the questions are really easy but the nice thing is that I have a lot of expert things so I can use those
Uh… nope
Kind of hard to play the game when the answers are wrong!
Nice Game
It’s a great trivia game with interesting rewards, ideal for playing as a couple, with family, or just to pass the time.
Meh
The idea is a good one. The execution is so so. It is super repetitive, like most games. There are minimal glitches (sometimes you get the same question twice in a row). But the thing that bothers me is how unattainable some of the goals are. After you get about halfway through the levels, they become exponentially more difficult to get to. I’ve been playing (a couple hours a day, sadly) for a month now and have earned less than $5m. One of the goals is to reach $1b. At this rate, it would literally take me 20 years. Whaaaat?!
Overall a fine game, but it’s got room for improvement
My chief quibble is the questions seem UK-centric. I’ll get a number of questions with references that are totally lost on me. Some of the questions are poorly worded, too. Another gripe I’ve got is the XPs awarded after a round aren’t always applied to my total; this probably happens 1/10 times – especially when I’m playing Tikal. It’s quite maddening.
Good
Good app
Trick question at the final question
I know my languages and you had two correct answers for the literal translation of Cosa Nostra. Neither of them actually being the phrase “our thing” which is the DIRECT TRANSLATION. Imagine being trivia app and you can’t even get your own trivia right
Great Game
Very challenging and fun all at the same time. I highly recommend this game!
Experdition?!
Ruined for me because of the spelling mistakes.
Stop nagging me to rate the app unless you want one star
It’s a decent translation of the game show, marred only by typos and questions occasionally repeating, sometimes right after they first appear. But the nagging needs to go. No excuses.
I love this game show!
This game gives me the feeling of joy in every moment. So many parts of the game to explore! You can also learn about different experts! I LOVE IT!😍
Too much clicking
There’s too much annoying clicking. Make it easy it click and just play. Everything else gets ignored.
Good fun but I don’t feel like a millionaire
I like this game, it works well quite smoothly on my device and doesn’t have annoying ads. I like the ask expert functionality as well (although have to laugh in the rare time one of them isn’t an expert on a question relating to them ). One gripe I do have is when i win the round and get congratulated for being a millionaire yet only win 12k coins ( or sometimes half that if my opponent wins). It seems weird to relate it to who wants to be a millionaire when the prize is pittance.
Extremely unstable app
The app crashes a lot and have to restart every single time. Decent gameplay but have to restart literally every 2 mins
Improved since launch but Experditions still frozen
I enjoy the game and I’m glad they made it available on Apple Arcade, but every time I try to open the Experditions section, the app freezes and I have to close it. The interface indicates that this is an important part of the game but it’s been broken since the Arcade version launched. Hopefully they fix it! Otherwise, I’m enjoying it.
Play on!
Always fun to play, even when it is not easy.
Not working on arcade
Not working on arcade
Learning is fun!
I enjoy everything about this game, except for the scoring!!! I mean why, When you win a million do you get only about 8,000? No big deal but how do you use the clovers and trees or whatever they add to your winnings? I keep playing but the scoring just doesn’t add up!
Outdated (2013) in 2024
No questions on anything after 2013 Outdated .. Just a few examples of incorrect information: Queen Elizabeth still alive Washington “Redskins” Referring to TV shows & movies that ended 10+ years ago as current Good luck if you were born after 1980
Experts
Developers please reduce timers on experts. Way too long!!!!!
Fun so far
But not fun enough to pay money
Pay to win junk should not be on Arcade
This game was fun for the first 3-4 rounds until Ada Lovelace quickly became unbeatable. The game has lifelines JUST like the real thing! But unlike them these are boosts that you unlock through loot box mechanics and you have a limited quantity. But don’t worry, when you run out, you can spend your millionaire coins to use them! Just like you can pay to avoid getting a wrong answer. But somehow, when your opponent is unbeatable, you lose more coins than you gain, and winning is impossible without more coins to beat the computer. It’s an ugly cycle that feels like they stripped the IAP mechanic out of and hamfisted into Apple Arcade on a technicality. Avoid this game unless you like wasting your time.
To hard for me
I like this game but it’s just to much,Some questions are to hard for me,Anyway every other thing is great!
Based on a free-to-play game and it shows
I played this game almost non-stop on the first day, but now the experience is samey and grindy. There’s a daily bonus, daily challenges, other challenges spread over multiple days, after you use your experts you have to wait for them to be usable again, there’s an in-game currency that in the Apple Arcade version is largely pointless. Yup, it’s a free-to-play game with the in-app transactions removed and nothing else.
Doesn’t load without force quitting. Surprising really.
For an Apple Arcade game I’m surprised that I have to force quit this game every time I want to load it. iPhone 15 pro max. Latest everything. Used to do it on my 13 pro max too.
Beats Jeopardy
More fun than Jeopardy.
Game doesn’t know the right answers
Happened twice in 3 games. I had the correct answer selected but lost. I looked them up after to make sure I wasn’t crazy. Now I’ll never be a millionaire
Good, but…
Fun game, but can you ease up on the “New Question” lifelines? Or maybe provide the ability to cash them in for coins? I’ve only been playing for a month and have over 500 of them. 😳 Otherwise it’s a great game, love the concept of unlocking and upgrading experts!
Differs greatly from the television show
First attempt to play this, it got stuck on the screen that’s apparently uploading data about boxes, etc. For some reason it has this ‘world tour’ thing going on that has become commonplace in quizzes & word games recently. What is the point of it? There’s some bias towards an American audience (even the questions are answered for amounts in dollars). This is yet another Apple Arcade game available on the UK AppStore not tailored for the local markets. Who’s this other person I’m apparently playing against? That’s not how the television show worked. Nor is the timer element - I didn’t even realise that was going on until I’d suddenly lost during a bout of sneezing. Even the music is nothing like that on the television show… There are so many other extras that detract from the game & alter the gameplay that I’m surprised that it’s able to keep the moniker of the television show. Half the time it’s not clear what to press on to proceed, so I’ve been prodding at various things onscreen hoping something would happen. This could have had some of the feel or tension or panache of the real ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?’ - but the developers didn’t want to give us that.
Too many U.S. related questions
Tailor for the whole world please and not just U.S.
Fun and fast
I love this game! I feel like it’s keeping my brain active and hopefully sharp. It plays really fast, which is great for my short attention span. It is also really fun to pick it up for a few minutes here and there and be able to complete an entire game in that timeframe. I highly recommend this game to others.
non-stop nags to review
The game won't stop asking me to rate it, so I'm rating it.
A few suggestions - and a glitch!
Updating my review to ask the developers to please fix a glitch where coins awarded in the daily ladder disappear from the total when returning home. This has happened to me 3 or more times now and is beyond annoying. I like this game and get very frustrated with a few key elements: 1. Ask the audience is a useless lifeline. The answer is wrong more often than it is right. 2. Ties for the million are way too common. You should not have to split the prize money in a tie, especially since you have probably spent more than 4K to get there. 3. Experts are too expensive to upgrade. I find that I play less frequently than I would like too because I tie for the million about 75% of the time.
So many spelling errors
Both this and the jeopardy games are packed with em. Fact.
Fun
I’m having fun. Good game is good.
Great for kids
This app helps kids learn all about topics.Including geography, science, and other subjects that kids will need to learn on the future. It also tells them the write answer if they get a question wrong. I hope others value this app as much as I do.
Really can’t figure this one out
I have a brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max, and this game just will not run on it. It gets halfway through the loading screen and just freezes for no reason whatsoever. The same thing also happened on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, it’s almost like this game is the only thing that doesn’t work on any phones that I can get my hands on. What is going on here? I am absolutely frustrated. I want to play this game, can the developer try to help me out.? honestly, this game looks fun. I just wish I could play it.
Fun game
My fiancé downloaded this game for himself but I somehow took it over. Very fun game.
Fun but frustrating
In its purest form the game offers challenge and entertainment; however, question imbalance, pointless mini games and (most notably) loading screen crashes all mean that it is not nearly as fun as it should be.
Only for Americans
If you are not American and or don’t have much knowledge regarding American history you’re not going to get very far. Most questions regard American sports or American presidents and history etc.
