OK, I’ve been using Superfan for a little over a year now and it started out as an AI driven weekly recap app for your music streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music. The AI FEATURE WAS THE ONLY THING GIVING THIS APP LIFE UNFORTUNATELY AND YALL TOOK IT AWAY WITH THE WEEKLY UPDATES THINKING WE WOULDNT NOTICE. This app is pointless now. So long duper fan ✌️
Why did you change so much
So cute and fun but where did the ai description of our listening week go??? Isn’t it the main point of the app?
App isn’t working
Fun app usually but lately every time I try open the app it doesn’t open and says ‘even apps need a day off too’ but like what’s the point of having them if they don’t work
Pls Add Tidal Music as Option!!
Used to use this app back when I had Spotify but I found the streaming quality got really bad recently and moved to tidal music that streams better… pls work with them to make it possible to use your app again and also enjoy the music my friends are listening to!!
Completely wonderful! One question to please be answered
Please don’t listen to the haters! This app is wonderful and only continues to get better! With every update it gets more interesting and involved, and the developers obviously rlly care about the people they’re making the app for. I’m signing all of my friends up ASAP! One question for the devs: what are tastemakers? It was never explained to me at least and I’m a bit confused about them. Is it possible for anyone to become one?
Horrible updates
Always looked forward to viewing me and my friends listening stats each week, recent updates deleted our entire group and its whole history. After updating my app, my personal listening history is gone, very cool let’s just ruin our users experience for no reason.
Great app
The app is very useful but the UI isn’t my favorite. I need to experiment with the app more so that opinion could change overall 4/5 stars The app feels a little cluttered and confusing and a black UI option would be nice along with the ability to remove certain sections so it feels a little less cluttered
Awful UI
At its core this is a fun app that I’m compelled to check in on each week when that new recap drops. The issue is that every update changes something about the UI for the worse! Further, there has been no meaningful upgrade to the core draw, which showcases the same ‘top genres/albums/songs’ as it has for nearly 2 years (just now presented in an ugly swipe format). My advice to devs- expand the analytics to be more fun, settle (!!!) on an appealing format for presenting it and comparing to friends, refine from there. Stop killing the app.
went downhill
ive been on superfan for a few years now, i've never written an app review in my life but the fact that they paywalled everything pmo so much that i decided to change that. this sucks

So far so good just want to find more similar people to connect with music-wise. Solid app though, exactly what I’ve been wanting!
Used to love this app
Used to look forward to getting the weekly rundown of what my friends were listening to, absolutely loved it. 5 stars. Then they updated it and the new UI does a poor job of concisely presenting the information you’re interested in. Just a long page of large boxes for each song. If you click on each friend you get a Spotify wrapped style rundown which is fine as an option, but shouldn’t be the primary way to see what people are listening to. Theres no distinction between when your friend group ends and random songs they listened to begins. There’s no “check at a glance” option anymore. Just feels confusing. The week closes when I’m at work, then I just forget to go back and look. I used to take a glance, something would look interesting and I’d remember to check back. Users should be presented with a quick summary of by buddies tunes like how it used to be. The whole Spotify wrapped style thing is great when you’ve got down time but it should be a secondary option. Long story short, it feels cumbersome now and I haven’t checked it in weeks. Posting this in hopes that they restructure. Great app, just can’t really use it on the fly anymore.

Format Change Ruined It
I loved this app for being able to easily scroll through my friends’ listening activity which was all upfront. The format changed recently so that you have to individually click on each person to load a slideshow of their information. It also annoyingly starts playing the music when you click on it. Please go back to the previous version this is all a downgrade
New update is so bad
I’ve been using Superfan for years but this new update is so unbelievably bad. It took me more than 30 minutes to recover my account, to the point where I almost gave up and deleted the app. I love the social aspect and seeing my music stats but wow that was so awful and frustrating

It’s a cool app and a cool concept. I like that they have a second for all ur cd’s and vinyls and stuff, but I do have one problem with this app… It just does not sync properly to Spotify (and I’m guessing other music platforms?) so on a band i actually have like 2k+ minutes streamed it’s saying I have 5 minutes 😭😭😭
Unfortunately Unusable
The app is a fun concept, and has a well designed interface, but it seems to not track at all correctly with Apple Music. It often says I listened to a song dozens of times in a week that I know I didn’t even listen to fully once. My guess is that it counts any time a song comes up in shuffle, even if you skip it 1 second into the track’s playtime. I wouldn’t consider songs I’ve listened to less than half their duration as a “play/listen” that I’d want tracked.
Cool Concept Gone Downhill
Love the idea of this app! It used to be so fun to check and compare against my friends. However in the past year or so they keep adding new features that have made the app more complex and harder to navigate. My friends and I almost never check it anymore. Was much better when they kept it simple - why mess with something good?!

New changes are a mess
Recent updates to the app make the interface extremely unintuitive to navigate, and make it difficult to find the things I actually liked about the app before. I do not care about any of the new features and they look like a mess.
APP DEVELOPERS PLEASE READ
Superfan is genuinely one of the greatest apps to ever exist, simply for the fact that it allows you to track the concerts and shows you have been to. It is my favorite feature and I use it all the time, but I wish it was a bit more intuitive. It would be nice if there was a way to easily search for an artist and see if/when you have seen them before as well as how many times you have seen them, and where. Add a search function to the concerts section!
Inaccurate
It legit lies about what I’m listening to😭 it’ll say I listened to a song that day that I straight up didn’t listen to at all, and all of them are inaccurate
Bad update
I’m sorry, I loved this app. It’s a fun way to connect with friends and see what people are up to. But the new update changed the layout and made it harder for me to easily see what all my friends listened to this week with clear, easy stats. And having to pay extra money for more stats is annoying and overall I just decided to delete the app.
Can’t see my whole groups recap
I love the app and look forward to checking every Friday but for the last 3 weeks I can only see the recap of 4/10 members of my group
Updates have made it more confusing
The app used to be more straightforward and easy to use and now I feel like a boomer whenever I open it. Took away features and added a paid version for basic things you can get for free on those online Spotify music listening things.

Not compatible for Apple Music (yet!)
I truly love this app to see what all my friends are listening to and it’s always really fun to look at our weekly recaps together. However, I use Apple Music which isn’t compatible with Superfan, so every week my profile comes up as “no vibes” which is just sad and I wish I could join in with my friends and see my own stats because moving my whole music collection over to Spotify is just not worth it. I’ve had Superfan for nearly 9 months now so I really really hope the Apple Music integration comes soon!

I Love This App!!!
This app gives you a Spotify or Apple Music recap every week and lets you add concerts you have been too! You can create groups with your friends and see what they are listening to as well as join various artists fandoms! I always get excited when my music recap drips for the week! You can also create a music bookshelf to keep track of Vinyls and Cds, etc. Best app I have seen on Apple Store so far! This app is so helpful for me to track of everything in Apple Music or Spotify! The only thing is that the album pictures are slow to load sometimes but it is probably my wifi. Overall very pleased with this app!

New update not good
The latest update from today is quite disappointing, the “latest” tab is a garbled mess of recent listens, sountracks, weekly recaps and concerts. The previous interface with recent listens from friends on the home page was much preferable and easier to navigate.
Big fan, love this app
Great app with consistent updates that have improved it significantly over the last couple of years. I emailed the developers about a bug glitch awhile back and they were so nice helpful and funny. Highly recommend supporting them
not accurate
the recently played section is never accurate and is almost always behind by several hours. it shows what I was listening to hours ago, sometimes days ago, without refreshing or updating to what was actually listened to most recently
Super Cool Idea!
I think this app is a great idea and I really hope it takes off. I have a couple suggestions but overall it’s a perfect app. Exactly what I was looking for! My grievances are only that it should have a section for records you want or like a wishlist for music you’re looking for ! It also needs to do better about having information on black artists. I swear I couldn’t find any Summer Walker on there or any recent Beyoncé concerts and that’s crazy like it’s BEYONCÉ. You gotta get updated on that. But anyway it’s overall amazing and you need to tell your friends about this app!
App just will not load information
I really like the idea of the app, but it just will not load any information. I’ve had it downloaded for several weeks but none of the „weekly recap“ page has ever loaded, which is unfortunate because I think it could be such a good idea.

Why did you remove queued songs on this app it was literally pointless for you to remove just because you wanted to add tastemakers if you don’t add this feature in by next update I’ll delete the app and I used it for suggestion and funny takes in the songs based on my past week do read this feature you’ll be considered the most popular app on my phone thanks
app doesn’t work
the screen doesn’t load after logging in it just goes white
Loading Bug
Hey, so today I started experiencing a bug. Where no stats would load or songs would be shown. I’ve updated but nothings changed. This is just a heads up.
App won’t stay open
I can’t get past the welcoming screen after I’ve connected my Spotify. I get to the point after entering my name and choosing a profile picture and then when I get to see what the AI has to say to me, I click the orange button and the app force quits. It won’t let me stay in the app or join a group ;( I’ve tired deleting and re-downloading but hasn’t seemed to work
Great…except they only have 2 music providers
The app itself is very organized and I love the way it runs, but I use Amazon music and that is not an option. I do enjoy logging concerts though and I can view my friends stuff

I love this app so i’m just hanging in there until it improves its accuracy and data quality bc the recaps are super inaccurate LOL I send it to all my friends and they don’t like it bc it’s super inaccurate and just not correct but I see the vision fr so I’ll keep waiting patiently for the integration to get better and I know the developer is working tirelessly in these other reviews so i’m waiting patiently queen/king <3 you just didn’t expect it to blow up fr and that’s tea!!! basically it’ll say your top song is one you don’t even remember listening to but you definitively remember listening to a different song 20 times and it’s not even on the list. it would be fun if it would accurately reflect that so I can see what my friends have on repeat and steal from them and laugh at the fact that they listened to adele 100 times etc. great concept fr !!

Great concept, too much change
App is amazing and I love the concept, however I’m not a fan of the constant changes with the interface. I’ve had it for years now and love sending the weekly drops in group chats. The layout and presentation are much more cluttered now and groups have become hard to find. The layout from last year without the pictures was MUCH better. I’ve seen other people say this as well, so I hope the developers will listen to the people!

Pretty cool idea but it’s extremely inaccurate with the minutes listened to. Me and my friends have stats.fm premium so we often compare the numbers- this week the top listener was actually around 700 minutes lower than what superfan was. The rest of us were actually around 1k higher. I like the recaps though.
