Hm
Good album
issue w the app
this is a type of app that ive been hoping for, i love these kinds of apps that are centered on music appreciation, but the app has a lot of flaws. I havent yet came across an album or a single that isnt present on the app, which is great, but it happens way too often that the app just wont let me post a review about it. At first, i thought it was just an issue that would be resolved soon, but this problem has been happening for a few months now. I tried making the reviews on the same albums weeks later, thinking it was just an issue that would be fixed by waiting or trying again later on, but the same thing happens, on the same albums, i get the same error message over and over again : "Error : could not rate this album.". it wouldnt have bothered me had it only happened to a few albums, but now its like everytime i try and rate an album, this error occurs.
Wish it functioned better
Been using Musicboard since 2022 and it has been my go-to music logging app. It functions fine most of the time. But as someone who mostly listens to smaller artists I’m usually the first person logging an album and oftentimes the album/single page doesn’t load at all. Then I try to log it through the homepage’s “What have you been listening to?” bar and it always shows an error message. I’ve missed a few logs because of this bug and if this issue was fixed the app would be perfect to me. But this bug has been the most consistent and annoying issue I’ve faced as a longtime user.
Please don’t shut down
It’s got a long way to go to becoming a perfect app but it’s a great for the most part. Does what I need it to do. Letterboxd for music basically. Please don’t shut down March 9th as the domain expires. I see tons of people saying it’s gonna happen. Please don’t let it. Tons of active and passionate users. Atleast give us a warning before shutting down at the least.
Used to be good
This used to be by far the best music app, but lately it’s been down constantly for weeks, has many bugs, new albums take forever until reviews start actually showing up, hopefully the developers see the people complaining and fix this because I truly do love this app, sad to see the state it’s currently in
Great app but…
I love this app but it needs to include an option for just adding music we listened to, kinda like Letterboxd does and not necessarily reviewing it.
Please let us export ratings
You’re shutting down the servers with no way to export our ratings ? I have over 700, I can’t do this manually.
Buggy
I enjoy using this app when it works. Lately it has been bugging out hard. New albums won’t load for weeks. App server goes down once a week. Thinking about switching apps because I’m getting pretty sick of using an app that doesn’t work well.
peak!!
wish it had a bigger platform
server down for the last week??
is it just me.
LOVE
only bad thing is the search system is messed up and annoying, u can search a specific song with the artist name and youll have to scroll to find it or sometimes it wont even show up at all. ALSO sometimes just wont let u publish reviews sometimes. ++ pls let us save lists & reviews!! 🩷
my created contributions have been pending for almost 2 months!
My creamer contributions have been pending for almost two months girl do something. also the app is boring as hell
Search system sucks
I don’t use this app to write reviews or interact with other people, I just use it to record albums I’ve listened to. So, basically 90% of my time in this app is spent just searching up albums to add them to my listing, and I gotta say that the search is a pain. When you type in the name of an album or a band, and I mean the EXACT name, there are a bunch of other random results before you find what you’re looking for. Sometimes, you type in the name of an album, and it just isn’t there; instead, you have a bunch of different results that are barely related to your search, some just have a few common words, and some just have straight up nothing to do with what you searched. And this happens every single time I search up and album. It’s annoying, and I don’t understand why I can’t just get the search result I type in. Otherwise, seems like a pretty good app.
cool app
i like this app
Bug
A lot of bug. The server is down again. Please fix this!!!
Great app,
This app is dope. Has all the necessary features to make a good review app, very similar to Letterboxd. One recommendation though, this app NEEDS watchlist capability like Letterboxd has. If it had that, definitely a 5-star app.
girl
this app is so glitchy AGAHAH
Bad UI
No way to actually remove a written review only edit them
just what i’ve been looking for!!!
love it !!!!
A place for grooming and harassment.
Won’t go in details, but the information is out there. This app is dead and you shouldn’t join if you are minor. It’s a very unsafe environment.
Good app. But customer support is horrible
Ive absolutely enjoyed almost everything this app has to deliver. Except one big part. One of the things you are able to do is contribute with adding new songs/albums/artist. After you submitted all the info it goes into a pending status. Now here is the problem, so i’ve submitted a few things and they have been pending for a while. So I sent them 2 emails to ask when it will get approved. The emails were sent in Oct 23, 2024 and the other in Dec 2, 2024 and to this day they still have not replied to either. Horrible customer support. So don’t expect to get any help from.
Great app
The concept is spectacular but this app obviously needs a crack ton of bug fixes and server improvements. I hope the creators can bring it back! But until then, I have no choice to award this app a 2 star experience
Musicbrd
I wish it had of a more “letterboxd” feel to the app and less social media-y. Great concept
Great app
Every album I could ever hope for
used to be good
The apps developers seem to have completely abandoned the app for months now, and the community continues has become overrun by people spreading antisemitic, misogynistic rhetoric that makes the app very uncomfortable to use. Community moderators (some of which are minors) can only do so much to fight against targeted harassment done by a small but dedicated group of users. I hope this can be dealt with soon.
Would be great if not for a few issues
Occasionally an album will be randomly removed from the app for a little bit, or split into two identical pages, but have different scores and reviews. Also, the home page UI should prioritize recent reviews by people you follow. The fact that it’s a button in the top right corner to see new reviews from those you follow is silly, especially when random reviews will be on the homepage. Overall though, a pretty good app.
great concept ok execution
i absolutely love this idea and with these updates the app seems to be on the right track. when it works it’s great ! the apps easy to navigate and good for communicating with other users but it often glitches into a blank white screen and i have to exit and refresh the app for it to work properly
Please download it!
I really enjoy this app - and I wish more people used it so I could read their reviews of artists I’m listening to!
just downloaded
Idk I’m being forced
Huge potential
Firstly, enjoy the app a lot. It does however need a more intuitive ui which shows more information without having to click it (genre, ratings, etc). Also whenever you click to “see all styles” the app freezes, making the search feature hard to use
Perfect at what it does
Allows me to write reviews on my favourite albums and lets me see how other people view projects.
NO LEMON FOR THE DEMON
Can you PLS add lemon demon’s album’s.
love the app but...
already made a review praising this app lol but there are a few things i wanted to suggest! pls add more features for making lists/reviews, like being able to make them private or more importantly, being able to save drafts. only because i don’t want my unfinished reviews/lists to be seen publicly lol. also, a feature where u can find profiles with similar music taste as u, it would be cool to meet people with similar music tastes from this app and its kind of hard to find ppl like that rn on the app
Very gute
I love it
if i wanted a music reviewing platform i’d use RateYourMusic, not this Letterboxd ripoff
it’s glitchy as hell and the concept is just a mix of RYM and letterboxd
.
the search bar to choose which review u want to pin is atrocious im not going thru over 100 reviews just to find a specific one . would be helpful if instead of keywords to find a review it matches with the name of a band u typed in
one of the bests way to log your favourite albums/songs
this should be at the where the popularity of letterboxd is, i’m surprised it’s not as well known
Literally unusable
I downloaded this app over a week ago and I still haven’t even been able to sign in once
