Contractor
That’s a nice app I highly recommend it
Full of Scam, Pet Selling & Negativity
Lately some dating posts too. The app has gone downhill over the years. The moderators don’t monitor posts or sales.
New comer
So far I am liking what I see
Constantly breaks discussion threads
Nextdoor is fine, it’s whatever, but it’s sooooo annoying when it pops up with a reminder about politics and forcefully breaks threads to make them as confusing to follow as possible. Yes, my neighbors and I discuss local politics and will continue to do so, despite Nextdoor’s attempts to make it difficult.
Disappointed
Next door used to be exiting , meeting neighbors ect. I am leaving the app because of almost every post is about lost, mistreated or so called te homed animals. It just not very positive anymore. Sadly.
Se nota el cambio!!
A mejorado mucho , con los nuevos cambios que a realizado últimamente la aplicación yo la recomiendo mucho ,nos une y ayuda a la comunidad.
Nextdoor is bad
Twice now they have discriminated against me once on a personal profile and then again on a business profile… If Nextdoor’s does not like your opinion then they will kick you off without hesitation. You better have the same views as then because they delete post if you try and talk about useful topics… They suspended my account said my name was wrong. I told them I have lots of people with names that are not real… They said I had to send a Copy of my ID. Ok that’s not to happen that should not be asked by social media and if they do t ask everyone they have no right to single me out…. So they did the same with my business account… Looks like I’m going to talk to a lawyer today cause they singled me out twice and that ain’t right. Nextdoor is a joke and has no good information coming from anyone.

Recent money grab not appreciated
We came to NextDoor at the recommendation of our neighbors who found it useful for sharing local services. We recently started our own small business and began trying to share it with our neighbors only to be told that Nextdoor has recently begun demoting business promotions that are not paid ads. Next they implemented an overpriced “Opportunity Alerts” system that supposedly allows paying businesses to get first dibs on replying to neighbors’ help wanted posts. This obviously puts the premium priced businesses first, and squeezes out small guys who can’t afford paid marketing that’s not guaranteed to get them work. It’s a cash grab for the platform and does not best serve the local business or the customer.
The problem isn’t the app…
The problem is their moderators. I’ve been a user of the app for many years but have really cut back because of the inconsistent “quality” of their moderators. Granted, we have such a wide spectrum of users ranging from absolutely infantile whining Karens to hardcore political wingnuts. You’d think that the moderators would have learned by now when to actually step in and when to just let the kids play. Alas, they haven’t. Accounts continue to be suspended for even the most minor of “offenses”. God forbid someone express the even the tiniest grain of personal opinions. Some Karen will go crying to a moderator and demand justice in some form. And I’m quite sure that this review will be seen as offensive by more than a few. I don’t know if this review will have any effect. Quite frankly I don’t care if it does because my personal validation and self worth doesn’t rise and fall on the opinions of someone else…In person or on the internet. So when you download and use this app, be ready to deal with inconsistent moderator quality and crybaby members
Local is Best
Got small job done, very happy.
The most annoying app
Just a heads up this app won’t let you use it unless you give it your phone number and your location. If you wanna go ahead and give random people access to your location and your phone number Go ahead but for me no thanks. If I type in my location then that’s where I live. Stop trying to be a Karen and force me to share my location
Electrical work
Thanks for B Harris electrical for doing the electrical work at short notice
Another money grab
I used to love Nextdoor since I’m a business a very small company but now if you have a business, they want to charge you $95 a month in order to recommend your company or if someone recommends your company too many times they think they’re part of the company so I suggest stay away from their money grab if you’re a business
Hijacks ones Audio and no way to stop it!
Helpful app but every time one scrolls it stops my audio playing and you can’t override it.
GMC
I have brought 7 cars and suv since 2007 and got 2 family members to buy form there Herman great salesman and Luke general manager is the best.
Can No Longer Filter by Neighborhood
No ability to filter any longer. This app just gets worse and worse every upgrade.
Tri des annonces par catégories
J’aimerais pouvoir rechercher les annonces par catégories si possible.
Dreadful
This app has been an absolute nightmare. I couldn’t even delete it! Stuck with it on my device whether I like it or not.
Toxic Social Media
It’s a good app. Potentially very useful. However, in my experience, many posts are hijacked by right-wing conspiracy theorists. Suffers from the same issues as other social media apps. It’s really a shame.
Connecting
Great platform to reach neighbors
If you’re a business this app sucks
Running ads or posting for your small business on this app is the worst and you almost see no return. They charge too much for their ad pricing and it doesn’t update in real time how your ads are doing and you don’t have access to even seeing what neighbors need help with your services unless you pay $99 a month! I wasted my money running ads on here
Nice app.
Had issues using the app on a different device but eventually connected. I’ve used this app quite successfully to match various needs with others. Give it a try, and don’t give up.
Difficult to navigate
Replying Is a challenge & there doesn’t seem to be many replies
Too buggy
Your app is so buggy you need to fix a lot of things, buttons don’t work, links take ages to open, etc. good app for for connecting with neighbours but please fix it
How it works
I’ve just learned how the site works and like how people are coming together.
Non consent use of underage photos allowed
The app seems to have no problem, letting people use pictures of under age, children, and spreading them without parental consent. When reported the app finds it completely acceptable and I know that if it wore my child and my child were endangered because everybody knows the general location of where my child resides. I would sue the people and this app.
Peu de réponse
L application Nextdoor est moins réactive dans le Finistère peut être moins connue qu en région parisienne Dommage 🥹
What is it good for?
Absolutely Nothing. A mess of an app designed so poorly that it works against its stated objectives. A bloated Fbook Marketplace- with no Place for the market. The main feed is flooded with people looking for, or offering, jobs, rental rooms, cleaners, babysitters, old tat they don’t want to pay to be removed, and “ lost” cats. There is no room for “ community” amongst this dross. It’s not “ local” if posts go to a 10 mile radius in London. ND support is a misnomer. Useless. And trying to sort this mess out are a handful of volunteer moderators whose valid concerns are largely ignored. The increased use of AI was to be welcomed but it is creating more problems than it solves. There is no transparency on its parameters. Its “ decisions” on closing posts are arbitrary and create dissension. Small wonder it’s losing money. It is not fit for purpose.
Very buggy
It seems like a great platform but I’m having a-lot of issues with the app. The page for adding a credit card to pay for ads is broken and i cant verify my business page. When i try it just loads forever Hopefully this gets fixed !
There is sooo much drama
If you like drama i recommend this for you
From bad to worse
This app should be free and for small businesses it is charging way too much. Post are being flagged a lot for no solid reasons. Way too much scammers, scammers are on this app a lot trying to gain your information address, phone number, bank information or sending fake Venmo and Zelle at least 10 times a day.
Late to the party
I just found out about Nextdoor from a YouTube video. I joined yesterday and so far I love the app, I generally love being in communities. However, I feel like I’ve joined incredibly late and the app has since died down as I can see there are over 400+ people in my neighbourhood but no one has posted in a long time. There’s a few posts here and there but it averages to about 1.5 posts every 2 weeks. This app needs to be promoted everywhere again, put ads about this app on everything! I’d love to see this app thriving again, it has sooo much potential.
Unsubscribe
Trying to unsubscribe as we have moved from Flagstaff Hill. Each time I press unsubscribe, I am asked to download the app. I DON’T WANT TO. :(
Next door
Worthwhile site but confusing to navigate. Needs a lot of work to sort out. Too easy to double post and set up groups
Next door
Good for finding things out handy to know what’s going on around you
Censorship of the worst kind!
This app, or at least the rules and those that govern it, are appalling. They censor the wrong content, fail to sensor posts made by bigots, and in general, allow conservative-leaning, incendiary comments to remain. This makes the company ethically irresponsible and undeserving of anyone’s patronage. In addition, they send out email asking the community to vote on local businesses, but exclude ones we actually prefer. Could it be that these businesses are not paying Next Door to advertise and are therefore excluded? A money-hungry company with conservative-leaning bias! No thank you!
Funcional pero
La aplicación cumple con su objetivo, pero es demasiado molesto que cada vez que la abras te pide sincronizar tus contactos, no importa cuantas veces le digas que no.
Area
I was hoping this app was more area specific not all of Wpg. 🤷♀️
Middle Aged and Older, Racist Calgarians and Complainers
The app works great, however, A LOT of users on there posting to complain and be racist. Someone posted a young white boy on their ring camera playing Nicky-9 door saying “boy don’t you have something else to do” and more. Another complaining about people not stopping completely at right turn, red lights (rules of the road) and comment section talking all about immigrate drivers… I’ve always been rushed with horn blaring by big Berta boys in their lifted trucks. SO many more examples. It’s the another Facebook for people rather than a NEIGHBOURHOOD app. I have deleted the app because of these people and I’m sure others have, too. Yes, this is a complaint about complainers :p
Thank you
Everyone seems really friendly thankyou
Can’t unsubscribe
I have unsubscribed from emails many times but keep getting them
Application très conviviale mais qui n’échappe pas au travers des réseaux sociaux classiques
Très pratique pour s’inscrire et pratique pour des bons plans ou un coup de main.
Business page issues
I created a business page and now that it’s there I cannot access it. Each time I click to switch to my business page it prompts me to create a new business and doesn’t take me to my already created one. There is a bug there that needs to be fixed
Not for me
It’s a decent app but it’s overwhelming with incessant emails. I’ve spent more time deleting their updates from my inbox than time on the app. I may come back and explore the app again in the future.
Patricia
Love this App.
HOA of social media.
Very very obvious red hat moderation on this app. Moderators correcting people in the comments of other peoples posts, moderators removing certain posts on personal bias but not others that clearly should be removed because they’re still “political” just for the other side of the spectrum where moderators agree so it’s allowed. Censored speech, censored topics, suppressed outreach on shopping posts, and users on the app treat it like twitter part 2.
Been here before I thought I give it second chance
Second chance just started
Slow
App is freezing a lot!
Not any oversight. Admins are biased.
Poorly overseen. Groups are run rag tag and allow for bullying and no rules or oversight.
