Just A Question Here
When a player is slow to make their play, why does a second clock start extending their time? Very annoying.
You can’t win!
I’m growing very frustrated with this game! I’m a decent Canasta player, and yet I can’t win even one game with the computer player “MaryAnn”! It seems rigged in the computer’s favor! Don’t waste your time with this one. I’m deleting the app now.
Loved the game since childhood!
This is a great game, I just wish they hadn’t added ads. It’s frustrating.
Computer cheats
Fun game. Moderately well laid out. However, the computer cheats. 1. It allows itself to pick up discard pile cards, but not its opponents in same scenario. 2. Gives itself different requirements for starting play. I needed 90 points to begin play, it allowed itself only 50 points. Come on developers… :(
Difficult to win consistently
I enjoy playing this game but it’s very well loaded in their favor. It’s difficult to win consistently.
iPad Mini No Go
Unfortunately this game doesn’t display correctly on an iPad mini, the cards in play in the center are huge so players stacking area is so small that cards can’t be read, way too tiny. Very disappointing because I like this game.
Definitely broken
Other reviews mention this, and I can confirm it. The discard pile pick up for the player is wonky. It doesn’t follow the rules. It’s usually frozen for me even though it should be legal for me to pick it up. If you’re looking for a good canasta game, don’t choose this one unless you see that the bug is fixed in the update notes.
Great, but…
Really fun but I’d love to see the devs update the house decorating features. I love how you can customize games to be frozen or unfrozen, 3000 points or 5000 points, single card draw or double. I love the daily challenges and I try to complete them each day. I only play the computer — a few times I’ve had human opponents (not known to me) and it took too long or they quit mid-game. So I stick to the 6 computer players. I paid to turn off ads and to unlock the LA players. No regrets. I had fun furnishing my house. But I’ve been amassing game “money” and have nothing left to spend it on. I’ve purchased all of the furnishings that I like. There are three spaces where it looks like you can buy something but then there is nothing available. I’d love different carpets and furniture. I’d also love to be able to rearrange things wand place them where I want, not just in the fixed space. Hoping for updates, but I’m losing hope.
Canasta game play
This card game is a lot of fun. But beware when you are playing the computer, it has the upper hand and it wins 90 percent of the time . Very frustrating because I get 4 and fives constantly when drawing cards. It knows what cards you need and you will NOT get them. Again if you can deal with losing most of the time this card game is for you. I take it as a learning experience.
I was putting up with the ads until…
Tonight, there was a scummy ad for a gambling game designed to sucker people into thinking they can make good money. Then to top it all off, they’re letting the Chinese advertise their subversive TikTok app. I’m deleting this app.
Fun
Freezing the discard pile is a nice feature… opponents get tricky by retaining two of some of the cards already melded… this will confuse you into thinking that the computer is cheating but the ai opponent is just using advanced thinking. You will become a better player if you can be a good card tracker and not play into a trap.
Not worth time
Game starts out great. Won a lot, and then more sporadically. Standard in that when you put any $ in, the computer starts to win every challenge. Then a game that was fun becomes frustrating and no longer enjoyable. Really a bummer :(
Fun way to play with friends
With our busy lifestyles it can be hard to make time to play a decent round of Canasta. This app allows me to play with friends near and far at a time thats suits us both. It is also a great way to improve on your game achieving its goals and levels, though some can be way too challenging at times. I Would love the opportunity for it to save the game so if we dont get to finish we could come back to it.

I agree with metalkelly. The computer cheats. The computer will take the discard pile to place cards on mold all the time, but will not a live(me) do the same. I am only allowed to take from the discard when it’s highlighted. Not fare at all.

Helped me improve
I’ve been playing canasta for over 30 years. This game has tremendously improved my skills. The leveled bots are given personality which makes the game engaging as you learn. Well done.

Computer consistently has the advantage. Must be pushing to buy in app options.

Great game app
If you love playing cards, and if you like the game Canasta, you will love this game. It is very well thought out and makes for a pleasant afternoon or evening. There are always challenges and fun choices. I do recommend this app Canasta Card House. I’ve been using the app for several months and totally enjoy it.

Trouble being able to go out
I’m new to Canasta and was hoping this app could help me learn the game. Every time I try to go out and discard, it doesn’t let me. The card is coded in green but will not let me put in Discard pile. I get timed out and Mary Beth wins all the time. Not really happy with this app.
Frozen pile option is a hoax
I am new to canasta and started liking this game until I figured out the rules. If you choose the frozen discard pile option the rules say that it freezes it for all players. Well, it only does for yourself. The dealer Mary Beth can still draw whenever she wants even with this option chosen. I thought it was a good feature at first since I was a newbie a few weeks ago but now I realize she/computer totally has the advantage on you this way. So don’t use the freeze pile option. Set it to unfrozen or else you’ll lose almost every time. Also, you can tel the computer is cheating because she’ll have 3-4 of the 20 point cards of same suit in her meld and she’ll discard them after picking up the discard pile and playing a few other melds. Sad fully I’ll be searching for another canasta game because this one doesn’t seem to allow me to become a better player.

Computer tends to cheat
Funny how the player is not permitted to take cards off the table but with as little as two cards face up, the computer can snatch them up and suddenly half the deck is on the computer’s meld and “Mary Beth” wins again. After a few losses like this, the game reminds you of your progressive loss to add a little more insult to the injury. I’ll keep looking for a better game with clearer instructions.
Please fix
Game froze several times while playing an actual person. She emailed you and I can’t figure out how. So please fix this problem. I love the game of canasta.

Hard to win
I love the characters and I love to decorate the home and update my appearance and the music and I am really a good canasta player but somehow I feel that the cards are stacked to the house. I am able to win in other apps. So frustrated. I been playing for over 2 months and have not won one game; spent too much money decorating. I am going to use a a more enjoyable app. Adiós.
Best canasta game!
This is my favorite game!
It’s fun at first.
In the beginning it’s fun to play. Then, after you get to about level 5 1/2 the bot or ai kicks in & say you put 3 jacks down, and the pile gets frozen, then the bot will throw 4 to 5 jacks on the pile in a row. Then if you manage not to give the pile away, it automatically knows what cards you only have 1 of in your hand. So you usually end up giving the pile away, or say that you actually get the pile, you had better put all your cards down, because the bot will go out on the next turn. Not very realistic at all!!!
Computer cheats!
Computer is able to pick up Everything that is thrown down while Never throwing down anything in your hand. Not just occasionally but all the time. Would like to find a Canasta game that doesn’t cheat
Lots of fun
I am thoroughly enjoying this game. I love to play canasta with my family when they visit but that’s not very often. With this game, I can play whenever I want. Bonus is that the other “players” don’t take forever to take their turn! I am also enjoying decorating my house and changing my outfits. The other “players” are fun and they chat, too. Also, I was having an issue with the ads freezing up and I emailed the company and they were extremely responsive. I’m sure the computer can cheat but I just assume that they can see my hand and try to have fun!

Love love love this game
What an awesome concept and I’m totally addicted. Like the others have said it can be challenging and frustrating that the computer players have an advantage but it has challenged me to become a better player. Many of the other canasta games is boring in that you always win so I love the added aspect of it being harder. I also love being able to decorate your home and appearance but wish they would update more things to update your home and self. Overall I would recommend this game 100%.
Don’t waste your time
Playing against the computer in this particular version of Canasta is absolutely horrendous. I have been playing Canasta for over a decade and have never seen “rules” like these. Freezing the deck does nothing for the computer player. She is continually able to draw cards even if the deck is frozen for all players. Furthermore, if you’re doing well, the tables will turn and you receive consistently irrelevant cards - until she inevitably goes out with a “hidden hand”. Absolutely worthless version of this game and not at all enjoyable.

Crashes often
This is a fun canasta game and works well when paired against a computer player. But the game freezes mid game when matched against another player. It also does not let you play a friend unless you are on the same WiFi. If I’m close enough to a friend to play on the same WiFi, then we are just going to play with cards. If the freezes were fixed I’d give a 5 star rating. As is, it is incredibly frustrating.
Computer wins
I have been playing for two months and purchased the unlock option. The other reviewers are correct. The computer wins in as few as six draws. The levels are very long and level nine barely advances at all. I wanted to keep playing but it is no longer fun playing infallible, self-dealing AI opponents.
Fun with friends
It takes a little setup but I’ve really enjoyed playing my friends and the decorating bonus is fun.
Unfair
Like this game, but on level 2 I cannot pick up discard pile even when I have meld and the computer is able to pick up pile without showing me 2 cards to take pile. After 3 unfair games I’m done.

Great App
I loved this App until the ad Lending Tree popped up and then wouldn’t allow me to go back to the game. This made me loose my place and chances to win. It also counted against my try and didn’t allow me to achieve my rewards.
Room for improvement
I wanted to play this with my daughter but I cannot invite a friend unless I am at level 2. Otherwise I liked the games just disappointed I can’t play with friends. Also just discovered I can’t send this without picking a nickname and every name I pick is taken,
