App keeps crashing
Downloaded mScorecard after reading really positive reviews on here, but been left disappointed. Been looking for a golf app that offers both GPS distancing/course overviews, and a solid WHS handicap tracker (with accurate course information). mScorecard is purported to do all that, however it would keep crashing whenever I tried to start a round, or even when searching for a course. It then completely logs you out, so need to re-enter password upon reboot - but even this now causes it to crash, not letting me past the login page! Keen to give this app a try on the course (and happy to upgrade my rating if it’s all it’s cracked up to be)….but need to be able to get into it first!!
Good app, could be improved
I have been using MScorecard for several months and overall I think it’s a good app. The features you get as a free app are very generous (probably too generous) I paid for the app anyway & not because I needed the additional features, more on principle. However I do think there are some weaknesses that should be addressed. On the scorecard view when playing stroke play net why does it show the stableford points, it should be gross and net shots, you can always have stableford as a side game. If playing a mixed game with 2 players off red and 2 off yellow. You only get the hole par and stroke index (strangely called hcp in MScorecard) for the yellow. If on the scorecard view it showed the white, yellow and red par and SI below each hole it would be a lot more helpful and give bigger boxes for the score. In the side game for betterball it only shows cumulative scores, with players 1 & 2 each having the same score and same for players 3 & 4. There is no indication of team A & B. It was only after setting up test games I realised how it worked. On the scorecard view of a betterball game it would be nice if the scoring players on each team on each hole were to be highlighted. Finally on either the hole or scorecard view it would be helpful if the playing handicap of the players were shown. It’s a bit of a faff to go to the round setup to find this out. Sometimes I set up the game the day before and have to search it out if asked by one of the other players. I hope you take this as helpful criticism and not as knocking what is a pretty good app.
Improvement needed
Ok so why does it keep crashing constantly like I don’t want to look a a while screen thank you please fix this
Needs updating
Played a few clubs recently where the holes don’t match the app or have the wrong stroke indexes. Sometimes you have to restart the app for your handicap to alter
Great App
Really useful tool and so easy to use
Another app that doesn’t add score correctly
Shame it’s the best app out there yet. However, there is a bug where the app screw my local course’s SI’s so stableford is calculated incorrectly. I emailed the dev to a blunt reply linking to the website, completely ignoring the bug. Will change to 5* once bug is fixed.
Could be perfect!
Except for showing front and back nine holes Stableford separately. Other than that 5*
Doesn’t automatically update courses
I haven’t used the app for a couple of years but when I used it again on one particular golf course that had a new layout the app doesn’t update it. I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but no joy. How do you update golf courses.
Needs hcp calc updating
Whs course handicap calc has changed app needs updating
Incorrect Scorecard for Dore & Totley
There are 6 holes with the wrong SI. The Dore & Totley website is wrong so presume taken from there. Hole 11 should be SI 18 Hole 12 should be SI 6 Hole 13 should be SI 2 Hole 14 should be SI 8 Hole 16 should be SI 16 Hole 18 should be SI 4 Can you sort please?
Do not update
Just updated the app to latest version, 8.9.8, and now doesn’t work anymore. Just keeps asking me to login.
DodgerNew
App easy to use once you sort out that ☑️ means enter. You need to specify if the round is an handicap round when you pick a player - this isn’t so obvious. Once you’ve sorted these quirks out the app gives plenty of useful information on your round and allows you to easily share this with friends. It’s also really easy to fill in the scorecard for you and others, even when 4 of you are playing.
Wrong course handicaps
I’d like to try using this app but two things are preventing me. The first is that the app calculates an incorrect score handicap for my local courses, based on my handicap index. It’s editable but it should not be necessary and could upset a round if you forget to do it. The second is that I’d like to be able to view a summary of playing data on my Apple Watch, as I can on the app I use at present.
What about cumulative averages
Ok took me a while to work out how to fill in a scorecard for our fourball group. Couple of negatives. The scorecard and stroke index for the course we play regularly in Mallorca has not been updated to show that hole 9 is now a par 3 and not a par 4. Other holes are ok. Secondly where/how can you cumulatively average all the rounds we’ve played to get a more accurate idea of players actual handicap scores over many rounds ?
The best available
The best free golf app I have. Precise and accurate. Ideal for score tallies
Lost all my data after updating
Title says it all really 👎
Great free golf app
For no cost does everything you need it to. Stability has improved lately too as was experiencing intermittent gps capture but now all good 👍🏻
One major glitch
Like the overall functionality and found the app easy to navigate BUT the stroke indexes (handicap by hole) are out of date in some cases which = incorrect results! Tried 2 different courses, same problem with both. Would use the app if this problem can be resolved.
Can’t work out how to change the card for a lady
Really enjoy this app, as I am new to the game of golf and recently got a handicap, so don’t know how to work out the stapleford score on my own! The only thing is that the stroke index for the course (and some of the pars) are for the men’s card and not female? Is there a way of changing the card for the ladies course? As it currently doesn’t add my points up correctly! I’d love to know your thoughts!
Easy to use
Easy to use and does everything for you, no messing around trying to think off points or shot, all done in the click of a button.

Much functionality port navivation
THE GOOD: This has the most functionality with no annual charge of any golf apps I have tried (and that's most of them on the app store in early 2016). There are many features included the others charge annual subs for. THE BAD: Navigation. It takes too long to input you have to move between screens. There is no automatic addition so you can't just tap for repeated strokes. Conclusion is that if they only sorted navigation I'd pay for it.
Simple to use
A great golf app. Introduced to me recently. All you need is there and easy to manoeuvre
Bye Bye Papet
Does all the calcs for you whether playing stableford or stroke play. Also has match play scoring. Love it, no more pencil and paper.
Very easy use
Great app and really insightful.
Great app
I love using th is app, just makes my life so much easier on the course. The only feature I would request is the ability to see the stableford total for each nine
Great app for new and seasoned golfers
Great app, easy to use and understand 👍
