Bixi rip off
I was charged $24 to ride a bike for 1 1/2 hours. wow! Expensive tourist trap. I did not know you pay by the minute. This was a very expensive bike trip. Do t use Bixi. Go to a bike shop and rent a bike. Go to Beubien in Rosemont or Cherrier and Sherbrooke.

J’aime l’application et sa convivialité mais il y a parfois des bogues sur l’exactitude de la disponibilité des vélos aux stations et des lenteurs lors du scan de code QR. Parfois le vélo scanné ne débarre pas.
Fonctionnel mais déconnexion incessante
L’appli permet facilement de trouver les vélos partout en ville. Mais une récente mise à jour provoque une déconnexion à chaque nouvelle ouverture , ce qui est vraiment pénible pour l’expérience
Constant issues unlocking the bike
Impossible to buy a day pass and unlock a bike right away. It takes 10 attempts to actually get a bike…..

log out bug
The app is a bit buggy, occasionally it will forget to end the timer on the bike and it will often log me out of my account when I’m done a ride. I’ll get “login detected” emails, it’s annoying . Pls fix it

App pas à la hauteur du service
Excellent réseau avec des vélos en libre service de bonnes qualités et bien entretenus. Malheureusement, l’app est affreusement lente et fait de l’ombre à une interface pourtant simple et intuitive.

Half of the time : Scanner doesn't work, bixi won't get out of the bike lock, the app is glitching. Very very frustrating
Trajet?
Il n’y a pas de possibilité intégrée dans l’application pour faire un trajet d’une station à une autre. Ça rend les déplacements parfois compliqué 😔
10 days for deposit back
i enjoyed the ride although the seats are a little uncomfortable but the biggest issue i had is that it takes 10 days for the deposit to be processed and refunded which i think is really stupid since it puts you between two choices, either u pay the monthly subscription or just wait for your money back and it can get overwhelming after a bit since i paid for 2 bikes and my budget is really tight and having 200$ missing from my account for 10 days is really problematic so if that issue gets fixed it’d be much better

L’application marche bien, mais le prix du service, continue d’être un peu cher, surtout que si on a un abonnement pour la saison, on ne devrait pas payer pour utiliser les vélos électriques. Il devrait y avoir au moins des minutes gratuit si on a payé notre abonnement. Aussi, des fois, les vélos ne marchent pas bien, et il y a aucun moyen de le savoir avant de les prendre donc il faut faire des arrêts sur le chemin pour changer de vélo.

No refund issued even after weeks
They are not returning the authorization money. They charged 200 for 2 cycles and didnt even returned yet. Worst service ever.
Very convenient
Despite using it little, It's something very convenient to have at least during the summer months, if you got the chance to install recommended, although it would be amazing if they have more stations, so far you can only reliable use it if you live I the boroughs nearby downtown
Problème de traduction
Soudainement, probablement depuis la dernière mise à jour jour, la moitié de l’application est maintenant en anglais. Gros manque de rigueur!
Tourists be careful
Bixis billing practices are quite dodgy and make you end up spending much more than expected. It’s easy to signup for BIXI unlimited but almost impossible to cancel you have to do it from the website, not the app and they make it confusing, the electric bikes are very expensive and not included in BIXI membership, and most important of all be careful to make sure the bixis properly dock as the docks are finicky or you’ll continue to be charged for hours and hours, I ended up spending nearly $50usd just for a few short rides would have been way better off just renting a bike from the hotel. The rides also bill you after 45 minutes. It’s easy to end yo spending much more then you expected you have to make sure you 1. Cancel on website minute you leave Montreal 2. Make sure all rides are under 45 min and 3. Make absolute sure when you dock your bike you see the little green light, sometimes it “seems” docked but it will actually blink red and keep billing you. Buyer beware

Great Service
It’s a great service, and the app does a fairly decent job although the map won’t refresh when you move so it’s at the last location when you open it again. A minor quibble. Everything else works very smoothly and I’m quite happy.
Pas pour touristes
Si l’appli est envisagée aussi pour les touristes il fait complètement revoir le processus d’ajout des cartes de paiements. Et même si j’ai une carte de débit Desjardins je ne peux l’utiliser car il faut entrer les 3 chiffres du dos des cartes. On peut inscrire son téléphone de n’importe quel pays mais plus au moment d’ajouter une carte !! Dommage. À améliorer.

Points Bixi
Ne reçois pas les points ami Bixi une course sur deux. De plus toujours avoir sa clé physique. Cette année sur en moyenne 20 utilisation j’ai au moins 1 bug et le vélo ne débarre pas avec l’application.
Decent App, Payments Could Use Work

Pretty poor for travellers
2 stars because it did work in the end, after much wrangling with getting a non-US/Canadian card to work. The app is buggy - use the website to set up your account first then login via app to hire. Also, charging a $100CAD deposit for a one off hire is, frankly, extortionate. You should be encouraging visitors to use these bikes, not penalising! It would have been quicker and cheaper to get an uber to where I was going but as I love cycling I took the hit, but it’s really very inconvenient compared to Toronto’s (also flawed but better) bike share scheme. A big city like MTL can and should do better.

Setting up is frustrating
Requires a ‘pass’ fee just to open an account and activate the app. No connectivity to your Apple wallet and the camera feature to input your credit card number freezes the app — meaning you’ll have to restart the registration process again.
Super easy to figure out
Used this app while visiting Montreal - it’s straight forward and the ride share program was widely available
Buggy and slow
App is very buggy. Renting only works on every 10th attempt, I get “payment in progress” errors a lot and every click is super slow.
Best way to get around MTL!
App is easy to use, complements the ease of using the bikes really well. Love it!
No invoice sent, often can't park,freezes often
After usage, you don’t receive an invoice by email or see the amount charged in the app. Instead, you get a surprise on the 20th of the month — and it can be an unpleasant one, such as a charge because your bike didn’t register as properly docked. On top of that, you can come home only to find no available parking spots at the five nearest stations, forcing you to walk 30 minutes after docking your bike further away. The app frequently freezes after scanning, requiring you to close and reopen it and try several different bikes before one unlocks. During events like festivals and fireworks, parking is unavailable, and even if you’re lucky enough to find an employee collecting bikes, you still have to wait in line to dock yours. Better to buy a bike.
Please add route tracking feature
The app is good, but it would really help if there is a route tracking function on bixi as in Google maps
Bike docks don’t work / Confusing app
visitor of Montreal. signing up for the app and getting a day pass was a bit confusing. but main issue was some of the bike docks didn’t work at the clark / laurier station . i had to shove the bike into multiple docks before finding one that would click. it registered my bike ride longer than i actually rode because of this.

Avoir les Bixi à Montréal, ça a été une superbe idée ! Ça me sauve du temps et ça me permet de faire l’exercice en même temps! Plusieurs bornes disponibles!
Dépôt de $100
Je vais plus jamais utiliser bixi à cause du dépôt de $100 PAR vélo, ce qui prend presque DIX jours à rembourser. Si vous êtes aussi inquiet de se faire voler vos vélos. Vous avez dejà nos informations de carte crédit. Chargez la personne SI le vélo n’est jamais retourné à place bande de génies.
Good system. Still needs some tweaking
Some of the E bikes are locked and some of them don’t operate too well. I’m an experienced Ebike rider/Commuter, 4000 miles a year, visiting from the states. Also the seat posts are sometimes too loose and can’t be adjusted by hand easily shouldHave that corrected.
Not worth it
The ride was fine, my bike made noises but whatever. I park it AND make sure the light turned green but it didn’t register on my app. I assumed it was fine though and as a first time user I didn’t know any better. They charged me $20 so I called and asked for a refund. They refused so I closed my account. Montreal has amazing metro and lime scooters, so just use those.
