What people like
- Works perfectly without cell service
- Great local landowner contact info
- Super useful for finding leases
- Helped save lives in emergencies
What they complain about
- Ads block essential legal info
- App crashes and loads slowly
- Wrong boundaries put you in danger
- Yearly fees feel too expensive now
Variable usage
I use it whenever I’m in the woods. From helicopter work s of wood buffalo to s Alberta. Helped to Save men’s lives once by helping us find the only lease to land a helicopter on in dense fog.
Used to be good
Use to be really good, but having a lot of issues with the app as of late
One thing
It would be a five star if it had fishing regulations and you could see what fish are in what lakes and rivers but if your just using it for hunting it’s a five star
Overall decent
Solid app but not a fan of having to re-purchase zones if there was any small update to the area
Great help
I do find certain features of another popular app more useful, but nothing compares to the local knowledge, unit info in an easy format & LEH info like iHunter. I switch between the two apps a number of times in a trip. The good thing is, iHunter just gets better & better
Waste of money
Not good for what you have to pay
Great app
I wish there was an off-road version
Zoom in
I often have to zoom out to see boundaries or other specific data. When I zoom in that data often fails to be seen
Awesome app
Use this app all the time. It is so useful. Highly recommended
Used to be good
Used to be good, had the info you needed, paid my original subscription fee now they want to charge a big fee yearly. Not worth it anymore
Old guys and tec gear
I’d give it a 5/5 if the road names/numbers were easy to read.
Great app for landowner maps
This app works well, and I use it constantly some cash grabs inserted into the app but what it is i suppose.
Best app!!
Best app for my purposes as a hunter in BC. I always recommend this app as I’ve use it f years. Thank you for a great app😎🦅
Serious flaw
I very much enjoyed this app until recently. It showed I was in the middle of a wide open area for deer hunting, to later find out it was absolutely closed. I pointed this out to the Conservation Officers tgat I had to deal with. ihunter was very wrong about the hunting boundaries regarding the CWD hunt in the Kootenay region. Clearly I wasn’t the only one getting bad information from this app as ihunter wiped it clean from the app when there was still days left in the hunt. My rating went from very high, to the lowest I could manage. To everyone using this app, make sure to cross reference all information. ihunter makes mistakes. This is the first mistake I have noticed, but it is a very serious mistake. I am hoping the province creates its own app to keep things legit. I will continue to use this app, but I will never trust it again.
Love the info
Love the info but not the most intuitive to use. Perhaps I’m just an old guy and slow learner.
Good
It’s a good app. I mostly use it for the regulations and moon phases. The mapping can use some upgrades
Awesome app & support
This app is a wonderful resource! Worth every penny when overlaying county maps and GRL contacts. Questions I had were answered very fast as well.
Review
Very difficult to use tried asking for support they give very basic answers that didn’t result in any assistance my advice is buy a gps that doesn’t need wifi to work
Carplay
Ça serais bien de pouvoir avoir accès à CarPlay
Need Satellite Overlay
Need satellite image overlay = 5 stars
Fantastic
Works awesome, lots of great features that will help you find success on you next adventure or hunt.
Not user friendly
I find it’s good for private land. But then you go off to crown land and low internet areas and it’s almost useless. No real instructions on if you need to download maps prior to hunts or any information.
Great App
The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it doesn’t include property owner contacts
IHunter
Great in Alberta. Need maps in SK
Happy happy
Best app on the fricking planet
Regs covered by pop-up
I would like to give this app a high rating as it looks like it would work well if the regs and what game is open in each WMU was not hidden. It’s blocked by a “Game seasons in your pocket” pop-up that blocks the view of all the legal animals for the WMU. Not sure if this is a my device issue but it seems like a “you have to pay to play” type issue. Looks like I will be sticking with PDF and paper copies of the regs for the local areas. Overall pretty disappointing for what appears to be a very well made app for your average Canadian hunter.
Great app
Great app! Had it for a few years now loving it especially the lease land information!!!
Very useful.
Very useful maps. Should offer a renewal discount or lifetime subscription option where it updates maps automatically
Glitchy
Used to work really well. Now takes ages to load, zoom in close, or even when I’m labeling way points. Very glitchy and will exit me out of the app
Presque parfait
Carte non visible à quelques occasions lorsque pas de réseau mais sinon meilleur app quand fonctionne bien
TD Amisk
We use it at the TD Amisk camp recommended by Nick on our first trip and ever since then it's our go to now I'm using it for my Cabin at Cumberland house and it is by far the best way to get around with no cell phone service it is a definite go to
Washington Hunter
Please update Washington state!
Good
It would be nice to see the satellite images and land owners names
Opinion
I really love this app. It’s easy to navigate and easy to drop pins. You can also email them and get feedback back which is great! Keep up the good work.
Was good.
Recently the app decided to switch to just Canada. Doesn’t do me much good anymore.
Needs better 3d angles and more updated pictures of landscaping
Love the app just want it to be the best
