I love the butterfly on my head too and it is very beautiful to look up at the sun with a beautiful sunset on it as well this game was created for fun and cozycore fun
Keeps crashing every few minutes
Stunning art and no ads, but the game freezes and crashes every few minutes. Just downloaded it and played for a couple hours and it crashed at least 10 times. Each time it makes me lose some progress when it does so. This is on 3 different devices, so it’s not just my device either. This is unsustainable. Between the crashes and the aggressive pay to play rather than one off purchase, this is not a keeper.
Problem signing into my game after update and didn’t save my progress at all
After installing the update on my phone ,I have lost all my progress I had in my garden ,back to square one when I first started this game,it’s signed into the right account but all progress I had was lost,but on my tablet I skipped the update because I’m afraid of losing my progress I have ,same account but different on my phone
Needs more work
Needs more “missions” or other fun small quick games within it such as the ant missions to collect more coins or flowers. Using new creatures/insects such as spider and web, or a ladybug.

Flowers
I got really into this game however I’ve reached the point where whenever I expand the forest, it gives me another flower. When the game gives you another flower however, I guess it means that there’s no space for no butterflies, so expand the place and it doesn’t make more room but expansion gets more expensive and so basically with the same butterflies I’ve had for over two weeks has to make the square root of 4 of $50,000 while not making any more money because I’m not allowed to have anymore butterflies. I want to like this game so much but I dont know how much longer I can do this, especially if I just expand to another flower. Which doesnt make any money, mind you. What is the point of giving me flowers if I’m not able to have anymore butterflies? This is making me very angry.
Bugged Update
After the update which made logging in get fixed, the event currently ongoing had almost finished, will there be a re run to compensate for lost time?
A blow to long-time users
I’ve been reading some reviews and I see that the reason given for the new version of the game is that it was built on a new engine. I ran this by my game dev spouse and he says he doesn’t buy it. There is no reason why a different engine would lock you into particular game mechanics. A game engine that forces you to give special powers to decorations rather than to butterflies? Seriously? That is a pretty specific game engine. Are you not using Unity? I can imagine there are technical reasons various things are difficult… but this feels deceptive, and strengthens my impression that the real reason for the change was to make the game more profitable. This doesn’t feel good to long-time users and supporters. I’ve waited a long time to write a review, trying to give the new version some time. I have loved this and other Runaway games for years, so I want to be fair, but I am still having a rough time with this new version of the game. There are two things I badly wish could change, and I find it hard to believe they can’t be changed. Please, please bring back the speedy butterflies. It is too hard now and too time-consuming to catch flurries of Flutterbucks. It’s stopped being fun and has become a chore. Also, I badly wish the game would stop making itself the king of my phone’s sound every time I open it. I can’t imagine that there are many users who want their music or their podcast or their audiobook to stop playing every time they open this game. The old version didn’t do this. If this could stop, I would be very grateful. I still love this game, and I will still keep playing Runaway games. They are better than the other games! They are soothing and sweet and beautiful. But I’ve sunk a lot of money into these game for many years, and again, it’s hard not to keep coming to the conclusion that the main reason for the change is that you want more. Unsurprisingly, this doesn’t feel good. I am done paying money or watching ads until some of these changes are made. Thanks for reading.

I love your butterflies they are so cute and this game is so calming but some butterflies take too long to hatch especially the butterflies that are unknown and the unknown ones are the ones that I most like because it’s like a surprise but it takes too long

Recent updates broke the game
Deep into this game, and it was almost perfect for a long time. But now, I watch an ad to cut 30 minutes off a 2-hour egg; yet afterward, the time remaining is still 1:58. Or I put the game down overnight, yet the next morning the time remaining on 2-hour spirit guardian requests is 1:57. Annoying and frustrating. UPDATE 3/6/26: I play for a few minutes, it locks up and I have to force-quit. Every. Single. Time.
Issue with Update
It won’t let me install the newest update. When I open the app it asks me if I want to update and when I hit yet, it takes me to the App Store but the option is not there to update. All it offers for me is to open the app. Other than that the game is amazing. Except for Sylvia. I hate the Guardian Event…the little spirits dodging being caught makes me rage.
Space clearing
I love this game, it’s so precious. But the amount of money it costs to clear a space is outrageous.

I cannot review on my phone so I reviewed on Ipad. There is a floofy borb who loves emoji cat heat and r34 and vore inflation and Daisy’s Destruction and she is a Spawnist. She is not the kingfisher and she has slow unskippable r34 sussy tutorials and she age plays with the floofy shell tuwtle. I would like to watch TD and FBD (Tuwtle’s Destruction and Floofy Borb’s Destruction) and also I already know how to play Starlight and Flutter. Can you add an option to skip the sussy tutowial.

I played this game by myself before.
I completely lost my game!
Do not EVER play this game. One day you can just lose your entire forest save, and support can be utterly USELESS in trying to help. No, I did not 'close the app before saving!' or 'erase my data!', my ENTIRE GAME is gone. I can't even access the game file via my apple ID or runaway account.
Fun
It’s a really fun interactive game to play with the butterflies and it’s basically like a simulator except you grow things
Put it back
Long-time player here. The new honeydew symbol on the butterflies is harder to see properly, and having the decorations have abilities instead of butterflies feels almost demotivating, like we’re focused on collecting decorations rather than butterflies. Not a fan of the new update at all.
Ad Problem
I like the game but using the Matching Story ad to save 30 minutes results in having to restart my iPad. It’s the only ad that causes freezing problems and if it doesn’t get fixed I’ll have to delete the game.

Cute game but in the next update I hope they expand the garden to house even more butterflies. Otherwise this is a cute game.

It’s lovely to play and listen to. Very calming. But the huge jumps in buying new space in the hedge is just ridiculous. Please make it so it climbs incrementally in the amount. I refuse to buy the coins “needed” to quickly further my game. Otherwise, a decent game. 👍🏼

Horrible changes from money hungry people
The new update that makes paradise flowers fill all three slots is disgusting. The devs just want you to spend more money and get duplicate butterflies. Honestly this game has gotten SO MUCH WORSE AND I GENUINELY HATE IT (as do everyone else i met that played it). Also making the decorations have effects and not butterflies. Takes away entire point and ANOTHER example of the devs wanting you to spend money. Let us have something

Hi developers. Thank you so much for creating a fun game! about nature and butterflies. I now know my butterflies thanks to this incredible game of yours. One thing that I don’t like about the new update is that… I really wished the butterflies had their special abilities again instead of the plants having the abilities (like how it was from before). And I really loved how each butterfly had different types of abilities. Also, I really wished there was an easier way to get flutter bucks than it is right now. It’s so much harder to get them, and I’m in desperate need of getting more because I’m running low on them. It’s just the not the same as it used to be. All in all though, I love this game!!!. Thank you for creating an entertaining, intriguing, and outstanding game about these beautiful & wonderful creatures of nature!! :).
Fails to recognise previous progress
Anytime there is a timed event I go in & put seeds on to grow the flowers (or spores for starlight) they take 2 hrs to grow, so I come back to collect & it hasn’t recognised that I planted anything but it will recognise the seed bags have been opened. Please fix this issue, in a timed event losing several lots of 2hrs makes it impossible to complete.
Cute, educational game but expensive
Such a cute game and I love learning about different kinds of real life butterflies. The only issues I have with this game are that the in-game purchases are expensive, and once you reach a certain point in the game it's very hard to progress. The events are also impossible to fully complete without paying.

Love love love the music! And the ambience (I just set those two to play & it is so relaxing, wish I could download it. Anyway, I played this game awhile back & hesitated to download it again due to I remember it being hard to advance at a certain point or something… but its obvious there have been some updates since then! Which is great! I think I remember repeat butterflys often (honestly its a foggy memory, as I previoisly stated its been awhile). But that doesnt happen at all! Everything is so gorgeous, so cute! This is a perfect wind down game. I do kinda wish there were more ways to collect flutter bucks. And that there a wee bit more reason to fly your butterflies around while you wait to be able to fuse them, or Like the pollen flowers/flower petals came more often or something else. Im still early in the game tho, so if its there later than I take it back.
Will cost you a lot.

Spirit events
I used to love the garden events, but the spirit event is so aggravating!!! The stupid little ghosts constantly fly away and you can't finish the event unless you pay for a sure catch. Otherwise, most of them run away and you can't move forward. This is supposed to be a relaxing game and the spirit events are agitating and stressful when you can't even complete the dumb event in peace.

Great concept, poor execution (IMHO)
I downloaded the game because I like the idea of actual learning while playing, and this game includes butterfly facts. However, unlike most free-to-play games where you can make actual progress without paying if you’re good at strategy and willing to put in some effort, this game is almost impossible to play. Why “almost”? Well it’s /possible/ for you can stay on your phone all day and tap at 30s intervals to get pollen. Otherwise be prepared to use honeydew to pay for your flowers to take longer to make more pollen. Oh but wait, you needed that honeydew to expand your forest in order to make room for more butterflies. Oops!
Log in issues
I love this game but every time I open the app it tells me I’m playing as a guest and might loose my data so for that reason I won’t make any purchases for it like I do on starlight cause I’m too worried it will not save it. I have tried to log in every way possible and it says a problem occurred. I’m logged in on 4 of your other games with no problems so not sure what’s wrong there. Would rate 5 if this was fixed. My favourite parts is how the summoning flowers grow in the environment and also the snail falling from the top makes me smile.

This game have all the butterflies that I know if they have a update that do the tiny farm fill of butterflies. You will catch them with your net.

The good stuff: The artwork of both the butterflies and the decorations is gorgeous. Though I don't like the switch of abilities to the decorations, I appreciate that their ability cooldowns continue in storage in a way that the butterflies' didn't. Having the event butterflies show up in set order was another good switch. The new prizes from gifting friends are also very nice. The could-be-betters: I've spent between $15 and $20 over the past year (on the introductory deals and on the glowbug subscriptions and I play everyday. However, there are several things that badly affect my continuing to play. 1) Though I play several times everyday, I am never able to finish the events, sometimes not even making it to the second butterfly (the second prize out of the three) due to the events being so short and based on showing up every 2 hours. It is very demoralizing, especially for those of us who've finished the core collections and have no other way of getting new butterflies. If you keep all other aspects the same but give us a full week to complete the events, you'd make us happier and more likely to stay with the game. 2) Also, in the last few weeks, the game is drastically heating up my phone. Either fixing this on your end or giving us a setting option that lessens the effects or graphics to save energy and not heat up our phones would be very helpful. 3) Finally, an option to lock the selling of butterflies (perhaps a switch on each butterfly, if possible) would be great, as another person mentioned. For some reason, there are more safeguards on whether or not you want to store a butterfly than there are on selling them. I've sold hard-won butterflies accidentally in the past while playing when tired, and it is very frustrating. Game Data Lost
Game crashed. reloaded and its started again from the beginning, only way to “restore data” is by having previously connected to Facebook, no data stored via Apple or Game Center despite it pushing this in the game as a connection. Really crappy, seeing as there’s no way to restore my data without my ID I have deleted the app.
Love this game but…
I absolutely love this game however i would now like to collect amigo butterflies which i cannot do because there seems to be no working friends system to send them to each other. This is incredibly frustrating as i love this game but want to be able to have friends and get the amigo butterflies. When will this be fixed? or is there something i can do to have friends (i am already logged in through facebook but they don’t appear anywhere)?

Great game but also some suggestions for it
Love the game but maybe you could like change it so that we can forge all sorts of butterflies 🦋 and create whole new different ones and things or is you don’t want to change it like that when you forge the same butterfly 🦋 it could have the same colour but have more patterns. As I said it’s a great game so don’t underestimate me.😁
Love it but Crashes
I really have enjoyed playing this, really calm and relaxing. Played it twice and got quite far before it crashed from watching ads, both times. It’s very frustrating as I don’t want to keep starting again. Would have rated it five if this was not an issue. I also paid money for items so this is all lost too.
