Bidding Videos
Recently this app allowed bidding videos to users without having the option to opt out. Each time I get a notification thinking I could buy something or sell something, instead a bidding videos session appears. This wastes my time and my data.

Beware if you’re selling hot items. Great place to sell but there tons of scammers trying to lowball you. Not only that. They work in groups. I sold and item to buyer A. Buyer B kept messaging me through other listings and calling me names for not selling to him. Buyer A sold my item to buyer b in the end and showed me the messages. Item was a mobile phone. Reported to Carousell but nothing was done.
Clarity I need
I was looking at a room rental. I am just confuse with the drop down answer to No owner staying. Would it be Yes, no owner staying? Or No, no owner staying? Should it be ‘Owner stay-in?’ Then yes and No answer will be clear. Can this be improved?

Description & Details
Of late a lot of listings can’t display full details and description in the ads. It’s quirky and doesn’t work for customers.

Carousell is falling behind. People in the US could be greatly impacting the market if we could be making purchases. Mercari Japan thrives from the US being able to support it and Carousell would do the same if the US could access it. Please do this!

Anyhow suspend account
My carousell account got suspended with NO warning and i have no idea which “rule” i broke. I forgot my password for my account and the AI chat keeps telling me to fill up this form which require your email address linked to your carousell account. Told it multiple times i don’t remember and requested to talk to a human assistant but just keep sending me form. I still have transactions not finished and now how you want me to contact my buyers???

Rude buyers
Listed a vintage Louis Vuitton Speedy 25. Buyer ignored the app’s own halfway meeting point clause, demanded I travel to her location, then became verbally abusive when I declined and wouldn’t accept her lowball offer. Carousell has no active moderation or seller protection — bad faith buyers face zero consequences. The platform’s own NDA meeting point policy is unenforceable and meaningless. Would not recommend for high value vintage items.
The apps is no longer my fun place to sell
I understand everyone wants to make money.. it was fine when they first introduced paying for listing bump and spotlights.. but now, i have to pay for listing items.. people spring cleaning once or twice every year.. but the apps limits 50 listings monthly.. kinda ridiculous.. why not make active listings as the items that will appear when people search for something but inactive one still appear on the profile but not when people search for specific eg: brand’s name or keywords. I used carousel for years but now i feel like uninstalling it.

Too many scammers
Have successfully sold my item here before. However, there are so many scammers and time wasters lately. I’d rather sell my stuff on other platforms where it’s safer.

No doubt one of the best app
No doubt one of the best app for people to buy and sell. But one major crux imo are the ads. Especially those misleading ones. I got an ad that says my current carousell app needs an update to the latest version, once i click on it i got sent to another app to download.
Video
This app is incredibly useful for connecting people looking to sell their unused items with those looking to buy them at a discount. However, its downside is that it can't send detailed product videos to buyers. Transaction security is also somewhat less secure, as there's a risk the seller won't ship the item after receiving the payment.
For cheap stuff only and got suspended all of the sudden
From HK and most people on the platform are looking for the cheapest stuff and trying to bargain with you like they only got a dollar in their pocket, also not willing to transport, they’re making the seller transport all the way across the city to trade and not willing to meet in the middle. Like since when people looking for and buying stuff would require the shop to move to you instead of walking to the shop. And it’s not like I dun do delivery. So far it was fine for me cuz those were users problems, until today my account got suspended stating fraudulent activities detected. Like their system might detect some weird activities from my account (guessing cuz I was on VPN) and it’s just an auto message or an excuse to suspend my account, but like give me some proves for saying me a fraud. Contacted customer service, got replied real quick, but they say it may take few days to process and look into the reason. Literally made plans to meet up with some buyers tomorrow, and now we’re left in the dark not knowing what’s going on and I couldn’t contact the buyers.
I like the app but
All of my recent chats have been with suspicious accounts asking to pay by cheque or money order and insist on delivery. There has to be a way to validate new registered accounts because it’s frustrating. I used to connect with real people and make decent sales from this app but I don’t know what’s been going on

Recent update is whack. Sell listing shows “tag” etc in every single thing somebody broke the code. Also can’t choose delivery or carousell pay anymore? What?

I so love this app easy to use and user friendly. I just sold my iPhone 15 pro max in less than 24 hours I met the buyer in person. I love this app, it is good for genuine sellers and buyers.
Can’t even verify mobile phone number
Tried it many times and the app or desktop keeps spinning and gets nowhere Without verification, can’t even post chat messages or transact. ☹️

Many illegal stuffs sold on Carousell
12 years on Carousell and today is the day I delete this app and will no longer use this for buy/sell. Carousell started great when we lost yahoo auction. However what started great when downhill when the app is now used for illegal products (e.g pirated games, ebook, anime, drama) and filled with mispriced products where seller listed a low price and when you contact them, they say price is only to attract buyers and actual price is higher. Let's not forget to mention scammers (just google and you find lots of reports of people being scammed on carousell). What did the carousell admin and owners did? Nothing. They allowed their platform to turn into a place for these illegal activities. Reporting doesn't work even if you provide evidence. As long as these errant sellers are giving Carousell commission, Carousell will close both eyes and trash any reports against them. I will no longer support this platform. I will rather donate my stuffs and buy from honest retailer than to trade on this platform to allow piracy, infringement of IP & falling to scam. Action speaks louder than words. If you are displease with what Carousell turns out to be today, stop using this platform.

Beware of scammers on the app!!!
This app used to be great but now it’s full of scams. Be careful of those trying to give you payment via “certified cheques”. All of them use the same script and only try to send you fake payments so they can gain access to your bank accounts.

Just a casual seller who has many things to sell at home but was listed as professional seller and got to pay service fee. Wrote in to customer service, back and forth so many times and no solution nothing. I explained so many times and the person Emily handle the case keeps repeating the same info to me all over again. It’s like talking to a bot. Not worth paying the service fee over a few listed items, I don’t even profit that much to pay for the fee as I’m not a professional seller that does this as small business. It’s just secondhand items that I bought and sell (Popmart figurines or others and you labelled me as professional seller)

Used to be good
This used to be a great app, now it’s fulled with scammers and people selling fakes and dodgy underpaying jobs. All the groups are run by users who never log on anymore so there are never events. The app also won’t allow you to send a buyer your paypal email address so they can pay which leaves no way to actually sell. Customer service never follow up with anything. Very disappointed and much better apps to sell things out there.

I paid them fee as they requested, but they block all the chats for many days and lost all the conversation, they only reliased they blocked me until I report to them, they refuse to do any refund as a compensation
Fix the glitch
Y’all got a glitch where if I keep scrolling the 20 items are repeated throughout my entire feed and I can’t find new clothes.

I used to love Carousell and found buying/selling through the app easy & fun. Since their biggest update, I have found the app unusable and have totally switched to another selling platform. Carousell became confusing, hard to view, less user friendly and with no valuable updates.
