What people like
- Great for reading on the go.
- Fantastic content if you pay for it.
- Works well on iPad devices.
What they complain about
- Subscription support is completely broken.
- It just looks like a PDF.
- App crashes and spins endlessly.
Great
Fantastic app but requires money it isn’t free
Stopped Working as of June 21 issue
Issues had been downloading fine until the June and July 2021 issues which are now locked and will not restore, despite my iTunes subscription not expiring until October. Getting them requires entering a password and the iTunes account info doesn’t work for this. Deleting and reinstalling the app didn’t work - it only allowed restoring issues up to May 21. So the app has taken my money without continuing to provide the issues, and contacting Kalmbach subscriber assistance does not work because as far as they are concerned you’re not a subscriber with a subscription account #. But they are the ones responsible for the app.
Not a good e-magazine at all
The hard copy of Astronomy magazine is the best. But the app is just simply a pdf version of the original. It's not designed For iPhone at all. Even the app is not suitable for iPad as well. You have to zoom in and scroll up and down to read the text. In comparison with other magazine apps (like National Geographic) I don't suggest this one.
Astronomie
Très heureux de cette application sur mon iPad. Merci
Problems with June 14 version
I have been an astronomy magazine subscriber for years, and this app has been great. I'd say, it was a five star app. The June 14 version though does not even open on my iPad 3, running iOS 9.3.5, which is the latest apple has developed for the iPad 3. Please fix it, I have no other way to contact you. Thanks. Update: I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it works fine. So back to five stars.
Terrible - won’t let you download magazine with a valid subscription
Got a valid yearly subscription paid for 12th July 2020 and it won’t let you me download the June 2021 copy - utter rubbish as there is no support/help option on the app! Don’t buy it this way!!!!
Free ?
This only allows you a free preview of a few articles of the current month. When you make the text readable you lose the pictures in the articl
Like it
It's a good magazine if your on the go.
What is the Point
This app keeps promoting the ability to subscribe through your iphone without any means of doing so.
Awesome
This app is the best app EVER!!
Terrible Service - no magazine but you can’t stop your subscription!
For God’s sake keep away from this service - Great magazine but it is just about a scam now - the site supplies you with zero magazines but gives you no way of stopping your subscription - And their User Services is just a black hole.. Am only writing in the hope that somebody from Kalmbach Publishing will read this and help me out - A very distant hope no doubt. Actually one star is one too many...
Does not work after the first issue
First issue worked fine. After that, the wheel spins and no magazine. I’m still being charged for it, though. That’s a clever business model.
Very bad app now
This app used to be fine but even after reinstalling several times I just ( like others ) get the spinning wheel of doom. Please sort this out devs.
Do not download
Bought a magazine, doesn’t show up as purchased, click restore purchases, app doesn’t even load up anymore. Either a scam or ineptitude but either way don’t download this hunk of feces.
Great mag, awful app
Used to work great with the old app for years. Love the magazine, but why is the newer app only working if I delete and reinstall it on IPad? This seems to be required to get around spinning icon which never gets to magazines. Also please quit getting me to click that your US based each time I open it, once is enough.
Subscribed but no access to full issues
For the last 2 months I only see preview issues in the list of magazines not the full copies. Also the support button just goes to a 404 error page
Subscription not working!
Do not use this app ! Subscription not working and absolutely no support from the Astronomy Magazine and Apple. Use Zinio (from web browser) for subscription.
