Unusable mobile app so cumbersome that I refuse to travel Copa now
This mobile app not only would not accept my payment from two different cards, every one of the four attempts I made to purchase airfare through this mobile app, would give me an error message and then send me all the way back to the homepage. Deleting all the information it took me almost 15 minutes to enter. Never in my history of using smart phones have I come across a mobile app that will make me start all the way back at the beginning, to enter my personal info, location, date, billing address, etc. why wouldn’t it keep all my info? United’s mobile app doesn’t do that. Frontier doesn’t do that. Both of those mobile apps will keep your info when there’s a billing error. I just don’t understand it. So I wanna congratulate Copa Airlines for making such an unusable app. It has successfully pushed me away from ever traveling with Copa Airlines, unless they’re willing to offer me some kind of compensation for the stress this mobile app has caused me. And if copa thinks this review is a lie, my reservation code they gave me over the phone is ADKHQ.
It’s Good…But Still Has Issues
Overall, I tend to go for the app rather than the website. For the most basic of things, the app is great. However, it is absolutely terrible if you want to change your itinerary. I’ve tried multiple times on different trips and I end up having to call Copa to get everything fixed. The last time I tried to change an itinerary (return flight one day earlier than what I booked), the app messed up my itinerary so bad that my flight wasn’t even showing up anymore (which lead to a 45 minute call with Copa). And in this day and age it should be easy for them to make an iPad app. Overall I like Copa Airlines and I like their app for the most basic of things, but some things could definitely be improved.
Business class ticket
I can’t select my business class seat since 7pm yesterday. Your app is down ! Error message showing up, can’t select and purchase nothing !
Nice overall experience
The app is really nice compared to web. The login is a mess on the web, that problem isn’t here. Despite that, I found a bug when the app shows flight time. If the arrival time is somewhere between the 12am to 1am, the app only calculates the difference in minutes, not in hours, resulting in flight times of 30min between PTY and IAD

Update of the new version Aug 13th DO NOT WORK
After the update of the new version it just do not work. I received an upgrade of a flight because I am a presidential member, however when trying to select the new seat in business class it shows I was not updated. I used the old version in the iPad and worked perfectly. Please fix urgently this version
Buena hasta el momento
Fácil de usar y entendible hasta el momento mi vuelo no es hasta en unos meses así que habrá que ver cómo funciona en el momento de usarla para hacer check in o ver mi pase de abordar. Eso sí es un poco tardado seleccionar asientos pero fuera de eso perfecto

Funciona muy bien y es muy útil.
App won’t open
Deleted. Keeps trying to open in Safari, which isn’t even my default browser, and keeps timing me out with an error message that it has made too many attempts and failed. Are the developers and leadership even reading the reviews?
Progress
The app since when I first downloaded has been getting a lot more better. Keep up the good work and keep progressing. Theirs definitely more to do and more to add to make it more entertaining and bring more benefits to the customers.

I can’t check in most of the time via the app, I have to go via web page to check in. Months lates, still same problem!

Falta de compatibilidad con Apple Pay
La app está bastante buena. Falta compatibilidad con Apple Pay, hay que estar introduciendo la tarjeta y el CVC, la autenticación con FaceID o TouchID, siempre hay que estar introduciendo la contraseña.
Muy mala la aplicación
Pésima , se queda solo pensando y pensando no da o resultados de la búsqueda, actualmente resulta muy difícil comprar .

Constantly having to be redirected to a browser and then logging in again defeats the whole purpose of an app. Pretty useless app.

Passkey does not does Not work on iPhone after setting up on Mac. Documents do not scan or partially scan with errors. There is no option to add star alliance numbers. There is no place in app to submit technical feedback. There is no direct chat or WhatsApp contact feature through app
Ok, couple of bugs
Does most stuff required and has a fair but of useful ‘side’ information, after the trip I’ll know more but my seats are selected and missing data is in and stuff and it claims my boarding passes are ready and that’s all I want out of these apps. One bug I just couldn’t sort out was entering the country code for the phone. It took me like 20 tries to finally pull down Canada for the country code, I just keeps disappearing after a few countries pass by. If I try to just enter 1 then it adds the country code for America Samoa so I can’t avoid that messed up scrolling. Apple iPad. Wife has same problem on the iPhone app. Good thing Canada is near the top, maybe hundreds would be to get to the 1 for the U.S.of A.. The seat selection just kind leaves you hanging on the last flight, no save or end like normal and it reads like you could lose all your selections, but it seems to have retained the seats I selected so….

Very old antique design
It’s embarrassing in 2025 an airline app is like this one. Technically it’s not an app, it’s just a portal to their mobile website. Very hard to navigate, slow and user unfriendly. COPA airline, just hire a company to design you an app, it’s 2025!
Posiblemente necesite una actualización urgente a iOS16
Al intentar hacer uso de los perfiles para asignarlos a los pasajeros de un viaje reservado, todo se congela y la aplicación se vuelve inútil. Hay que cerrarla a mano y volver a empezar - pero igual no logro completar el proceso. Tendré que hacerlo en la web.

This app is the worst app I’ve ever seen. There’s no way to make a teen or kid account. Customer Service does not work. I don’t get why people use this app. It sucks so bad about to go on a flight and get zero entertainment because I can’t make a account for my son. Worst Dam app I’ve ever seen.
Cosas por Mejorar
Es una excelente app. Me gusta mucho la interface, y lo profesional que se ve. Es un diseño único y tranquilo, pero hace poco estaba tratando de adquirir 3 tiquetes desde CLO a MCO, y no me deja seleccionar la opción de ida. La selecciono y es como si no seleccionara. Lo repetí varias veces, cerrando la app y abriendo, y reiniciando el iPhone y no sirvió. También siento que la app toma un exceso de tiempo para cargar. Por ejemplo cuando se va a comprar, se nota cómo la transición del cambio de interface. Aparece la interface exactamente igual a la página web y al rato cambia. Es un error pequeño, pero son cosas a mejorar. Por estas razones, le doy 4 estrellas. Es una app increíble, pero por favor mejoren estos detalles Copa.
No me enseña vuelos disponibles
Si trato de buscar un vuelo a cualquier destino en cualquier fecha, la aplicación me dice que no hay vuelos disponibles para mi búsqueda. Sin embargo en la página web los encuentro sin problema.

Ao abrir o aplicativo não aparece a opção para buscar voos, para cotação. Essa opção deveria ser a primeira a aparecer.

La última versión incluye opciones que facilitan las cosas al momento del checkin, no le doy 5 estrellas porque 70MB de peso me parece exagerado para este tipo de app.
Error de login
No puedo iniciar sesión en la app. Descargue nuevamente la aplicación y no funciona. Ni con wifi ni con datos celulares.
Viajero frecuente
Señores; soy panameño defensor de COPA a capa y espada, pero igual, usuario de servicio de varias aerolíneas. Agradecería hiciesen un esfuerzo real en este servicio; he leído y escuchado críticas del mismo, las he vivido igualmente. Este servicio, como la aplicación, dejan mucho que desear, es extremo básica y aún así; no funciona gran parte de las veces. No soy participe de comparaciones pero por favor; investiguen y vean otras en el mercado, esta está a años luz de tener calidad, funcionalidad y otros. Además el servicio en web; siempre tiene algún tema. Estar en línea es un tema de imagen empresarial al igual que de servicio al cliente. Hay que asegurar ambos o será un boomerang que regresa y no queremos esto para una empresa insignia y orgullo de nuestro país.

Useless, slow, and unhelpful
Another airline, another app that doesn’t work properly. Full of bugs, difficult to navigate, download links that don’t work, and a nightmare to type. I’d avoid flying Copa as much as possible just so that I never have to use this awful app ever again

La aplicación es por lejos mejor que la anterior ya que te permite interactuar con mucha más información. Sin embargo, no es posible completar el check in de un vuelo, ya que al ingresar toda la información solicitada por la página, la aplicación se cierra sola.
Inicio de sesión y saltos de páginas
Deberían mejorar que las sesiones al comprar boletos no se salgan por si solas porque ya avanzada la compra de boletos me rebotaba de la página y tenía que iniciar sesión de nuevo. También que las páginas no se salten porque elegía la clase y me saltaba de una al pago y no me dejaba elegir los asientos. Tanto en la web como en el app
