Best Map to Have Abroad
When I travel, I like using my phone as little as possible therefore I do not get in International plan and in order to navigate and get around when I don’t have Wi-Fi maps.me is the perfect alternative. Couldn’t get around without it - my last trip to Puglia Italy it was irreplaceable as I rented a car and navigated all around the region.

No breadcrumbs?
What happened to the recent track/breadcrumbs trail shelving the path where you came from? Can't find it anywhere. Don't want to record my track just want to see the path I've taken so I can go back the same way.
Was very good till you had to pay
Despite paying for a subscription I still get pop-up ads for eSim cards which I find annoying. I cannot enter a phone number for backing up as there is (and has always been) an error message. I use maps.me as a backup for google maps as it often compliments it in regard to archaeological sites and alternative walking ways but also often lands me in front if a wall/forest/cliff edge when navigating. Support was zero when I tried to restore the original account. Sadly it has decreased in usability since I pay for the app.
Works like a champ
App works very well. Just keep the maps updated when they drop and you can’t go wrong.

Ich nutze diese App schon seit vielen Jahren, hab viele Pins auf der ganzen Weltkarte verteilt. Nutze sie sehr viel zum Offline Navigieren wenn ich im Urlaub zu Fuß unterwegs bin. Mich stört die Download Einschränkung von 10 Karten im kostenlosen Modus nicht. Dafür lösche ich rechtzeitig alte Karten. Störend ist die dauernd und penetrant angezeigte Abo-Werbung. Ein Abo Modell kommt für mich keinesfalls in Frage, kaufen würde ich sie.
Great interface, but limited
I like the user experience. However, it can only find the businesses I’m looking for about half the time. Even major ones like KFC or Tractor Supply. And you can’t put in addresses, so I can’t get to them that way, either. I end up looking up the street on the web, getting directions to that street, and driving around looking for the business. I love the offline capability.
Falling off
It used to be one of my favorite apps, but the landmark, places and street search has become unusable. Searching for landmarks the first 20 results are always hotels or restaurants. Searching for streets in germany, in the current frame, gives you results in australia. Searching bookmarks (the app main perk together with offline maps) is a mess. No filters for the search. No settings to include or exclude types. And a big mess for what concers translationns, searching things with the original name doesnt work, so one has to figure out what is the exact english translation, if any. Its pretty useless as is. Very sad

This app should be banned. Useless and gives awful routing info. Dangerous at most, sent me down a one way street opposite direction.
Crashes
A couple of years ago I used it on a prolonged trip & it was great. Recently it has started crashing every time I start it. I tried deleting it & re-downloading the maps. Didn’t help

Показывает в оффлайне здания, остановки, дороги. Но маршрут прокладывает один и не удачный, многих точек не знает. В большинстве своём приложение не о чем, куда удобнее и точнее оказался Я****с Карты.

Я не понял прикола. Очень долго запускается. Оказалось, что при окрытии приложение связывается с сервисом и если скорость интернет-подключения низкая, то происходит долгий запуск из-за ожидания ответа от сервиса. Для чего это сделано? Невероятно сильно раздражает.

Карты подробный из OSM, но навигация через одно место
Навигация по Москве и МО по факту не работает - у нас грешат вредительством на дорожных работах, а также установкой внезапных шлагбаумов, и если конкуренты успевают почти всегда обновлять данные, то MAPS.ME вообще не знают, где какие подлянки и перекрытия, при этом хотят брать плату в подписке за измерение скорости. В общем, только как карты посмотреть чисто маршрут сгодятся, для велосипеда и пешего маршрута отлично, для авто лучше что-то иное.

I found it very difficult to use while walking around Florence. Some of the places are not where the maps indicate they are. Had to resort to Google maps and pay for data

Hi there is some wrong The route to Al-Muthanna Gas Station (Super Fuel) is incorrect. From Al-Allawi intersection in Baghdad, the correct route is to turn left and continue straight on the ground road. Do not take Al-Shalchi Bridge, as it leads in the wrong direction ✅
Oft gut, manchmal nicht
Navigation funktioniert in vielen Fällen gut. Wenn bei 200 km Entfernung aber über 1000 km zwecks Umweg zustande kommen, könnte man heulen.
Not up to date
Its not even uo to date, its like 20 years behind. Ive seen places on the map that havent existed since ei was a kid.

Offline prima
Die offline Karten haben mir schon oft bei Outdoor Aktivitäten geholfen. Andere Funktionen außer den Karten verwende ich fast nie. Schade, dass nur noch 10 Karten kostenlos sind. Opensource Karten OHNE die ganzen Zusatzangaben gehören ja allen. Dafür gibt es einen Stern abzug.
I can not update or Rename the surrounding buildings anymore
it is a good map.. but i cant see where to tap to update or rename the surrounding buildings, shops, restaurants etc.. because its long time been rebuild. and i still got confused “whenever i search the buildings name it will not show up”. Because it is still not an updated name “unless you know the old buildings name a few years back” i hope the Maps.me Editors staff could find a way to help users to rename or update the buildings, and you can confirmed it to update.
Frustrating app
My MapsMe Pro isn’t up until Oct 2025 but it won’t let me download unlimited maps etc It’s not working.

Poor customer support
I purchased the app a couple weeks ago. $49 for a year. I could log in after a week. No response from anybody on how to log in. It’s been a week. No link sent to log in.
Missing so much
It’s annoying when I’m trying to find a place and it’s not in the search. For example, I just typed in “Mount Fuji” come on, it doesn’t come up? Also 99% of the buildings are unmarked and I usually can’t find my hotel or restaurant by searching. Also it’s slow to open now. Add more info and make the search easier it would be perfect
