WDSU News
WDSU News - New Orleans is always Outstanding! 👍🏽
Poor Reporting
A poor example of news on social media…inaccurate reporting, poor grammar and word usage, misleading headlines, zero editing.
True newsie
I watch everyday when I get home, or on my phone at work when possible.
Constantly Crashing
New phone ✅ Updated software ✅ Latest version of app ✅ Turn off phone & back on ✅ Still constantly crashing!!
Repeat notification
I keep getting notifications for the same story. It can be annoying.
Always Great
Can Always Find out what is going on Always Up To Date
Great station TERRIBLE app
Doesn’t seem to be compatible with iPhone 15. 80% of news stories have a weather forecast video unrelated to the story and takes up way too much screen space.
Opinions
I like WDSU, but Corey Hebert is nothing more than a mouth piece for the Democratic Socialist movement which is dominating the Democrats party. He should keep his opinions to himself and deal with facts, not widely espoused propaganda.
Cant even find News Notifications
We get all these messages about the news stories or something bad just happened which you are interested in. You should click on that and go to the article but you go to the website and can’t even find the story. It’s ridiculous and sad.
Keep in touch!
I moved away from the area and I use this app to keep in touch!
Link’s don’t work
Constantly sends me notifications and if you click on them it will take you to something irrelevant. And then you can’t even find the news story you were looking for! Terrible.
Great ap
No changes needed
Bugs
Can someone please remove the two extra blank “Derek Sibley” bios in the Weather tab under Weather Team? Not a big deal, it has just been there a long time. Also, I have to post this here because the option to report bugs in-app is broken. All options in the “Contact/About” tab are not functional, btw.
Best Television station EVER!!!
WDSU!!!!!
Worst App Ever
They send notifications of headlines, but then you can’t find the article on their homepage. The app is not organized appropriately.
Reloads everytime I open an article
The app reloads everytime I get a notification of a new article and click to read it. The article disappears and I have to dig through the app to find it again.
Channel 6
Thanks for keeping me up-to-date with news and weather channel 6 is doing a fantastic job
Reliability
This is got to be one of the most unreliable apps I’ve used to date it crashes so many times I have to watch a different channels, always seeming to happen during the weather but never the commercials sometimes I get to watch all the commercials and nothing other Leaving make sure the app was updated and the same thing happens When watching it on the TV from the my local app, it seems to work fairly well but not perfect it’s really sad that we’re having bad weather. They tell you to stay tuned with the app, but the app freezes up and crashes constantly. Come on WDSU a lot of people in the greater New Orleans area in Mississippi gulf coast. Use your app for important issues.
Video Glitches
Most of the time, I really like this app. But lately, I’ll click on a video attached to a story I’m reading and instead of the video relevant to that article, I get a weather video instead. Something is wrong with the in-app links and videos.
Best news and weather
Always reliable
Can’t read the news for the advertisements.
The advertisements come before the article and you are unable to read your article. Too much!
Improve your app
I enjoy the app when it’s working. I find that I have to delete the app too much. This I don’t like. Hopefully this will be corrected.
WDSU is Awesome
I have recently added the WDSU App onto my iPhone and absolutely love the real time news updates/alerts. The Fox 8 App does not offer real time alerts!!
All wrong
It worked just fine and was my favorite app until recently it has been telling me that my zip code is invalid. No it’s not, the app is acting up and now I’m sad. Fix it
Viewing Reports
It would be nice to be able to see the same reports on the app as on the new from that day.
Live News
Just being able to watch the news at a convenience on your phone if you don’t make it home in time for the news on the tv …I love it
No stars
There is something wrong with the app and web site I try to play the news and neither of them will play it. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app and exiting the web site and they still don’t work. This seems to be an ongoing problem with trying to watch the news. It maybe time to change networks or something.
Truth
The News, all news source only give one point of view. Real journalists dig dip and report the Truth. Well, they use to at least!
Staying Informed
I love your APP. Keep allows me to stay on top of topics and issues daily w/o the effort of googling. Sorry to stay that good news in New Orleans and in world issues have been far and in between. We are definitely in trouble time.
Way too many notifications
They notify you about every little thing. Even when I went to change which ones I get, so that it would only be important information which I actually want. But apparently they think everything is important and constantly send notifications to your phone even at 11pm at night. Hope you don’t like to sleep!
Good App
The best thing about the App it’s very efficient with it’s alerts! Keeps you up to date on what’s happening! My rating comes within the App. More times than not you start reading a story and it’s incomplete; there is no where to hit a “continue” to finish reading the story!
Owner/Editor NAVARREMEDIA NEW ORLEANS
I monitor and post the news from most of the major cities in America. WDSU TV 6 has some of the most informative news in Southeast Louisiana. They also have some of the most professional news anchors , reporters , and meteorologist in the industry. I turn to WDSU daily for up to the minute news in the greater New Orleans area and all of South East Louisiana. Sincerely Yours, MD NAVARRE NAVARREMEDIA NEW ORLEANS
Terrible functionality
For the Nowcast: They make you listen to ads every time you open the news so you miss part of the news The news will not continue to play if you get an email or notification. You have to start over and listen to the opening ads again. You cannot do anything else on your phone or tablet while the news plays. When clicking to read a story you MUST listen to the video. There is also no place on the video to silence the video. So no checking a story at work. It’s terrible to use to try to check or to watch the news.
