Too many hiccups
Also shuts down all the time on iOS products. Please get a better app
Annoyed at functionality and ads
I’ve download this app on my Apple TV and it plays mostly ads over and over again, and mostly grotesque, ambulance chasing attorneys ads, not the news I’ve tuned in for. It also seems to freeze every so often on an ad and needs to be closed and relaunched to go back to the news broadcast. Both my app and Apple TV are operating on the most up to date versions available. I’m likely to remove the app if this doesn’t improve soon. It’s a frustrating way to start my day, when I’m just trying to get the info I need to go about my day.
Not user friendly
It will not clear out pending notifications (red dot)
Annoying Ads and inconsistent program streaming
I’m so frustrated with this app. I try to watch the news (not that local news now) while they’re broadcasting live and it’s not on. The ads repeat before you can watch ANYTHING!!
News
Best news station ever. The only one I watch
Never know if its a video or story anymore
Looking at the top stories you never know if its just a video that you need to watch a long ad for or if the story is below. Put videos in the video section and stories in the top news. Not hard. Also way too long for the ad and have to click on the top corner. Not a fan.
Advertising
Just got a tornado warning on the phone. Switching back to Fox 8 on the TV and the power goes out. Tried to go to the app and have to navigate through commercials to get to the critical weather report. Seems like in those situations you forgo the revenue and get to the appropriate screen right away. Gary Gamble La Place
Site RUINED by pop up games!
Why do you all allow all those STUPID pop up games when you are trying to get news headlines? You have RUINED an app I USE TO USE ALL THE TIME!
Getting better
App is better but won’t allow me to share store within app. Please check.
Fox 8 app
I’m not a big fan of the new fox8 app. It’s not like the old app where you can get on and go straight to the news . Instead now they have advertisements playing when we should be able to get the news not random advertisements.
Alerts?
Why do I get all these alerts when I never asked for them?
Good app
Didn’t give 5 stars cause i get notification on Lock Screen that something new is there (number beside icon) when I go to the app there is no indication of what is new. Clicked notification icon and nothing is there.
Never updated
Please update stories more often. Same old things
Amazing!
Amazing how they can continue to improve the quality and amount of adds but the actual content you’re trying to get to is still garbage.
No more channel 8 news for me!
After decades of loyalty to channel 8 news, weather and sports, I sadly have chosen to move on to other news, weather and sports sources who do not interject false political accusations of our previous president and very little about our current most incompetent president of all times. This is a local news channel , not a George Soros propaganda source. I will miss the great weather crew most of all.
Worst App Ever
I can’t get any weather information from this app. There is NOTHING more important than local weather. It makes no sense for me to have this app.
Actual news is difficult to find
Plenty of nearly worthless video clips, sports new and weather. Actual current hard news is difficult to find and not posted front and center.
The App on the TV
I can’t play the news on my smart tv. The App isn’t available 😔 otherwise I love this news
Professionals
The cast of news anchors is amazing at their jobs. I Look forward to seeing the funny aspect of the broadcast and the serious portion of the news daily. I appreciate all of the news personnel in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Thank you all.
Fox8 RUINED This App
You can’t watch Fox 8 News while doing other things on your phone. This app is now RUINED. This is very inconsiderate. This will hurt the app usage rate I promise.
Notifications Lock App
When I go to notifications, the app freezes.
Welcome back Shelby
Great to see Shelby back. Want to see her back on the weather but enjoy her wherever she’s happy.
Used to be good
Not sure what happened but this app is now terrible enough I’m leaving a review. Even at local news hours, it’s a crapshoot if you get local news or some random newscast from around the country. If it plays at all. 3/4 of the time I get a video playback error. And way too many commercials. If I wanted news from somewhere else I’d get a different app. This is dreadful. Please fix it.
Ghost text
I have a ghost text that I can’t get rid of when I downloaded the new app on my iPhone 16 Did everything they said to try to do to get rid of it. None of it works. I turned my phone off. I booted it back up I tried everything they said to do when I googled to see what to do and none of it worked I just can’t get rid of it.
Fox News
Always late news.
Ads
Annoying ad everytime you open app
Hate the new app
Had a very difficult to find my way around plus it always shows. I have a message even when I cleared them.
New app
Alert won’t disappear after opening and closing app
