Subscribed for years
Can’t believe that even if I change password I can’t stay logged in to ever read the Acadiana e edition. Never been as frustrated. Calling customer service doesn’t fix permanently.
New format
I don’t like the new format.
Consistently Disappointing
Once again, entire paper won’t load. Was forced to cancel my home delivery because of issues even the department manager could not resolve. Want to support local journalism but customer support and tech improvements clearly need attention.
Good Paper - Weird Priorities
YKIYK Baton Rouge puts a thumb in New Orleans. Lafayette does the same to Baton Rouge. New Orleans is too distracted to care about the rest of the state. This mindset is woven into the political space, business culture, and sports. And The Advocate would be a great news source if it stop playing into it. I like The Advocate I do not like you having pop-ups that block my screen and stop me from doing what I wanna do. So please stop stop having your spam pop-up block me and get off my phone and when I want to review something in the advocate, I will let nowhere else other than The Advocate but if you keep hitting me with pop-ups all the phone in the garbage.
Disappointing
Can’t print my puzzles and letters so small in the funny’s I can’t read them.
App and website are disfunctional
Clicking on an article link leads to website. App has constant ads. Need a functional app and website before bombarding with ads. Articles have excellent journalism

App works fine most of the time. I read the e-edition, mostly. My wife reads print edition. We're covered like the dew. Television online often beats the Advocate on breaking news.
Love the Advocate online
Anyone who wants to be informed about La state politics must read the Advocate. I really like seeing the layout - reads and looks just like the print Ed. (or you can read a version that is more like manuscript style). Easy to switch back and forth. I like being able to print, or post a story from the paper onto social media. I absolutely love the creation of the investigative journalism project. Thank you Advocate. I have been a regular reader for 45 yrs.
E edition
Why change it it’s much harder to use. The old way was much simpler
Not An Improvement
The e-edition isn’t as easy to use as the old version. I don’t know why the page and section arrows were taken away. Last week, although the e-edition was available online, it wouldn’t appear on the app.

Love Advocate but New Online app. Bad
Been advocate subscriber over 20 years great writing but the new E edition is terrible. Please, please fix online version can no longer single out individual articles & can’t print puzzles etc.
New app review
Totally dislike new or updated version, Much preferred old version. I can’t stand having to swipe page by page to move from one section to another. Why can’t y’all leave well enough alone. Also, swipes aren’t that sensitive, I find myself darn near slapping rather than swiping to “turn” a page.
Update is terrible
I have been an online subscriber to The Advocate for many, many years. The update came without notice, so now I cannot login, nor does it recognize my password. When I messaged the company, the few suggestions they gave did not help. This happened previously this year and I’m getting very frustrated with the entire process! Thinking of canceling my subscription.
New app
The old app allowed me to print individual articles. I can’t do that on new app or I don’t know how
Worsening functionality Due to the redo of the electronic edition
The attempt to“improve“ the E edition has failed spectacularly. I find it much harder to navigate from article to article then it had been before. please restore the previous version and stop meddling with something that was already functioning well. Remember “the enemy of the good is the perfect” and your redo is the perfect example of that. Sincerely, Stephen Hellman.
Junk
This new app is a piece of junk. The E-edition is completely broken. It points to as-laden web pages that often don’t return to their launch point. I cancelled my subscription and won’t renew unless this app is fixed.
New e-edition app
This new app is harder to use than the old one. It’s not as responsive to enlarging to text. The pages don’t seem to be “autonimous” and always tend to bounce back to the 2-page format if you don’t toich the screen just so. I suppose I’ll get used to it…
New format
Since changing the format we can no longer print the crossword puzzles on a single page. It is also difficult to change pages sometimes, it jumps back to other editions, etc. This will not let me put in a nickname!

Enjoy the contents but not the new digital format
I appreciate the content but the new digital format is an assault to the eyes. Previous digital version more user friendly and easier to visually read.
New E-Edition
The E edition is extremely hard to read online, a clear step backward in my opinion. Your “opinion” paper is a shadow of the legacy newspaper of the past. Nous-
