Easy to use
Paper is a fun app to doodle in! Controls are basic and easy to use. I love it.
Genuinely what is this app
I’d give it zero stars if I could. I’m not downloading Evernote, but if I want to save my drawings, or make an account, I have to download that useless app. It won’t let you skip the ages long tutorial and the drawing tools aren’t even good. I just want to put my digital art into a digital moving sketchbook. You lowk can’t use this app unless you pay for it AND download a whole different app??
Good app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A good drawing app but wish the upgrade wasn’t expensive. Also I don’t like how sometimes it will randomly change sizes. Other than that amazing app
Not shared subscription
I got it so my kids can play around with scrapbooking, but they want $99.99 per person to use the pro features. I would have liked it if it did share. Most times Apple will say you already purchased this and not charge you. Family sharing doesn’t work. Beware
Evernote Lock-in
Redownloaded Paper after a few years away to attempt to access some older notes. The content is all wiped with the migration to Evernote, an app well known for its lock-in. Great at note taking, horrible for long term support.
A virtual moleskin with your own roll of art supplies
For the analog artist who wants to make beautiful work on the go. No graphs and planning, no learning layers, just pick a tool and size (I like the pencil on large) and draw as though it’s all real under your hand. I’m obsessed. There’s no better program for a real artist.
They want to kill this app
This app got bought by Evernote who is so greedy and desperate to consume a perceived competitor and destroy it. They want to deter us all from using this app. I don’t know why. I loved this app, but if you’re a weekly subscriber, it’ll cost you up to $400 a year to use this app. There is nothing else like it and they know that. Awful company.
Really expensive
I love this app I used it every day and then the free trial ended and I was going to ask my mom if I could get the subscription but I saw how much it was and knew she was going to say no.
It’s good for a time
I started using the app after I saw it being recommended and it was honestly really good! It was simple and easy to understand the features and I honestly didn’t need to pay (staying on the free tier) because I was only using it for coloring. Didn’t heat up my iPad either. I didn’t know that even the free tier had a trial and that when it ended it would restrict even the basic tools like pen sizes unless you pay. Very cash-grabby move on their part. Will be finding a better alternative which honestly sucks. I hope they do better in the future.
Hmph
I can’t get a book to just write
Good app but...
It is a great app for drawing and journaling but the fact that its 10 $$$ a week is just... But otherwise 🔥🔥🔥
Cool app I guess
The app is really cool but seriously… $10 a WEEK or $100 a year is pretty outrageous
Meh not for me
It’s mid if you want something satisfying get this app
Nah
It’s incredibly too difficult to get it to sync from my iPad to my phone. I’ve tried dozens of times. Gonna try a different app out.
Not that great in my opinion
I hate how you need to pay the subscription JUST to add custom colors for the color wheel. I just wanna make my notes pastel, cute, and fit my aesthetic but because of the subscription block it just won’t let me. I wanna take notes but I can’t make them cute like at all. All I can use is black which can make it harder if I wanna color code. Can I just make custom colors without the subscription?? I swear it will make more people give better reviews. I HATE PAYING SUBSCRIPTIONS JUST TO USE BASIC FEATURES!!!!😡
Drawing application
It is beautiful and I became an artist because of the application. Thank you and I advise everyone to download the application
Price is a joke
$20 a month on the LITE plan is an absolute joke for such a basic simple app. I wouldn’t even lay $20 ONE TIME PURCHASE for this app. And you want $240 a year. This greedy subscription culture needs to be stopped. Get real. Other reviews are all botted.
A bit annoying
A-bit annoying you lose all your coulers sometimes but good
Not a good app
GAVE YOU One told if he didn’t wanna buy it which obviously I did and the thing is it’s a free app when you go on the App Store but when you get in the app, you have to buy it you have to buy all altogether utensils, and stuff you have to subscribe to some dumb website so no this is not a good app. Do not recommend buying this.
Good but could be better
The app overall is good, but my only thing is that most of the tools require pro or a subscription to certain parts. Most things I can’t use, like adding multiple photos to each page, using art tools, etc. Would be so much better if it didn’t all require pro.
Love this app
This is such a good app! I usually never rate anything 5 stars but this is the one time exception! It lets you be really creative and your imagination can go so far! You could also create your own colors! It’s really amazing! Another thing that I would like to mention is that every thing also runs very smoothly, there’s no glitches or anything! Like I said before this app is very good! If you get this app you won’t regret it. I totally recommend! One last thing there are absolutely NO ADS. What’s really ridiculous with apps like color by number or similar apps like that is that there are always ads it’s very annoying, you can barely get one painting done but guaranteed that doesn’t happen with this app. Love this app totally recommend! It’s kid friendly, great for adults and every age in between or older!!
Predatory and overpriced
There is no universe in where this app is worth 10 USD a week and the free version is a trial that if I forget to cancel, will charge me that for a week. Genuinely one of the greediest pricing schemes I’ve come across. I used to really enjoy this app for its simplicity, but that simplicity does not justify prices id expect from adobe.
Paper
It would be nice to be able to type letters and numbers on a sketch.
Having to pay to change the brush size is bs
Changing the size of the pen should NOT be premium
Lssues
Not letting me purchase credits for journals
This is so fun but..
I loved this game it’s awesome but I don’t really like how you can’t use a lot of the brushes
I hate this app
You basically can’t do anything if you don’t have a subscription it’s not very fun
Really good
I like how it is different books but I don’t really like how you have to pay to get more options really good app though download now!
Not great for journaling
Want to add pictures to your journal? Digital scrapbooking? Not on this app! Apparently you can only import one image per page before being prompted to pay $9.99 PER WEEK for the app. I just don’t get it, the only prompt to spend your money is that… you can actually use the app. The subscription doesn’t add anything worthwhile, it just unlocks features that should be free, and ARE free on other apps. The notebook with flippable pages is kinda cool though
😒
Subscription left a bad taste in my mouth. Good brushes but bad payments.
Hi
Nice to meet you ☺️
Frustrating
It’s not very user friendly to use. It’s confusing and for some reason, it does not let you use all the different options of tools to draw/paint with. I’m not sure why and cannot figure out how to do a free style draw using all tools or even just use all tools with a provided book. Very frustrating
Nice but not for non-payers
It’s really nice if you pay but if you d’août it’s not worth it.
Problems login each time
I already paid for this app, but recently, every time I open it, it says I haven’t paid. It also lost all of my previous artwork. Because of these issues, I haven’t used the app much since then.
Good
It’s super good but have to pay come on but over all awesome
I love this app
I love this app been using it for years!! But it’s so glitchy!! It used to not be so glitchy and I wish it had better features and more tools!
Expensive rental
This kind of app should be a one time sell, not rental. Greedy monkeys in this new regeneration. Get Procreate App, it’s not just better than this trash, but you pay one time to own it, not rent it
Solid App
As a school teacher, I really love this app. The penmanship with the dotted lines is super useful to display it with kids so that I can demonstrate how to create letter shapes. The only downside right now is that I wish it would incorporate the squeeze feature that has been developed in the Apple Pencil Pro. I hope to see the app update and work better with the Apple Pencil Pro. There’s features like rotation, and when the squeeze demonstrates a pallet of colours or the other tools, these features are available to use in Freeform, but not in the paper app, and I think it would be easily integrated into this app and would support the development of this app in the future really taking advantage of the newer updates Apple has to offer. I am also a little bit confused by the paper store. I have opened it, but don’t really see anything to purchase, so don’t really know what that’s supposed to add to the experience. Would love to see more templates for journaling, organizing brain dumping to do lists.
Potential
I just started using this app and i instantly fell in love with it. Then I realised I can’t even do half the things in the tutorial. This honestly had so much potential and it would be a lot better if the developer offered a one time fee payed once for about £30 pounds or make more features free.
Lovely user interface
I lovely the UI and the cut tool. It’s great for making photo collages thanks to the cut tool and drawing options. It is the closest to scrapbooking on the iPad. But, for the annual price I don’t see myself using this compared to something like procreate. If it was more affordable I might consider it.
Amazing but not that great
I love this app so much but it doesn’t make it very fun when you have to get something that cost money just so you can add more photos. I could make something like a journal without it being money. 4 stars
$10 a week is absolutely crazy
you get 10 pages for free and then you have to pay a subscription. Before it used to be that some of the tool were behind a paywall idk why they changed it. such a greedy company
A great app
The app is super fun. I always play this game went I'm bored. But I don't like it went we need to pay to use tules. Instead we can watch one or two adds to collect the item.
No sync, No support!
Paid for premium, to enable a sync across devices (I paid for the app originally so this feels a bit disingenuous for a start) but it doesn’t work, an the support directs you to a broken WeTransfer page… which is suspicious. Is this really a well designed bit of software, or do they not have my data secure? And how do you know what your login or username is on the iPhone app?
Eh
It is quite good, but i wish there was an option where you could make the pages in the journal separate, instead of just one whole page.
Friendly
Easy to use, colors are awesome , tools are flawless
Price
Why on earth is this app worth 100 dollars like have you gone mad?
I love this app so much
As the title says, I love this app so much but there’s one thing I wish I could change which is I wish that you could change the rotation of the paper so that it’s not always so that the top isn’t always on the right and that it could be like on the left or just like on the top that is a thing that I would like to be changed if ever possible that would be really helpful. Thank you.
Frustrating
I bought this in 2020. I don’t use it often, but had lots of drawings saved. Suddenly I was logged out. Managed to log in, but none of my work is there anymore. Can’t get any in app help.
Paper
Could have more colours Don’t like the in app purchases
