Ads
The notification from you is that there’s a fireball that lit up the sky last night. But to watch the 10 second video I have to watch a 30 second ad. No thanks.
Keep it up
I have used channel fives app for years I have been very satisfied. It gives me accurate news but it’s been a little glitchy lately Other than that keep up the good work
Not really breaking news
Way too many notifications for things that are not breaking news.
Be better
It would be nice if the title of articles matched the videos,
Best news at
World ms best news app and it keeps up updated with new information every 24/7 and I highly recommend it to keep you guys safe and to see how not to miss out on any updates
Scaring People with Weather
Why do the first five headlines always have to be about the weather? Can there be some actual news posted, too?
Weather doesn’t work
I deleted the app and installed it again. I haven’t been able to look at the weather. I’ve checked my settings and gave permission to everything. I’m so sick of this. Over 2 weeks now. It always worked before and I depend on it.
I can’t see you
With YouTube TV dropping my local lifetime news channel, I was preparing to make a wholesale change to the WLWT app, TV station, and all. Unfortunately, this app’s text is too small for me to read and unlike my old app doesn’t seem to have a way to adjust the text size. Oh well. Back to my tried and true I guess …
Update
Desperately need to update your system
Charlie Clifford
Watch this news station for years and find it the very best. Could someone help Charlie Clifford wear clothes that fit him. He’s a great reporter but his appearance needs a lot of attention.

Too many interruptions
The app interrupts the day too many times. It is only necessary to get the biggest breaking stories. Also, the app is way too loud. When using the app, the volume is so much higher in volume than other apps to where it is disruptive. I am considering just removing it from my phone.
Stopped notifying me
I used to like this app. But I stopped receiving notifications about the weather and I can’t seem to fix it… I have spent too much time in the app and in iPhone settings trying to figure it out. I deleted the app and reinstalled it… still, no notifications…
Downhill
Your app is going downhill with less frequent updates / stories that linger for days. The recent change to force the user back to the top whenever will be the end of using this app for me if you do not fix this. 👎
Latest updates have major flaws
The last few updates for this app have made it less usable than before. I’m frequently sent back to the main menu every time I click on an article to read. I may be on an article for like only 15 to 30 seconds before the main menu is reloaded. I hope they can fix this issue soon because I wonder if the app is no longer usable on older phones. I have an iPhone 11 if it helps the developer.
Won’t open
Often had to delet the app and add it back. Only app I have this issue with
Unwanted Notifications
I enjoy the app. I do NOT enjoy the numerous notifications I did not ask for. In settings I have only selected severe weather and traffic, but I get random news notifications several times a day. Toggled on then off and I’m still getting them. Had to turn off ALL notifications to get them to stop. Is it really ALL or NOTHING?
Great Team of Reporters & Meteorologists
Channel 5’s reporting is up to the minute and trusted with providing accurate facts and or getting the facts for accurate reporting.
App has become unusable…
Every time I click an article, it returns me to the main page automatically after about 20-30 seconds. Hope they fix it sometime.
Not available on Apple TV…
As I move away from cable and on to streaming, I am disappointed that this is not available on APPLE TV. I would like to see rebroadcasts of my favorite local news on my TV, not my iPhone. Please consider having your standalone app on APPLE TV…fyi, WCPO TV does!
Great content annoyingly surrounded by click bait ads
Take this app to higher level by placing the ads at the bottom or somewhere other than within the individual articles. Too tired of “accidentally” leaving the app for my browser to open because I touched the screen where a clickbait ad hadn’t even loaded yet.
Channel 5 IS the only news I watch 🥰
I have been watching channel 5 since I was in high school 66’ that’s almost 60 years. I check on other channels but always come at to watch channel 5. Great service to Tri-State. Lots of love Nanny Sweetie from Kentucky 🐎🇺🇸🏇🏿
Crashes
App crashes nearly every time I use it.
Used to be great, but…
I liked using the app to keep an eye on local news throughout the day. It used to be very informative, but lately the notifications have gotten very “clickbait-y.” It’s clearly not a character limitation because what needs to be said can be said in fewer characters than “open the app to see where.” It’s really turned me off. I get that clicks = ad dollars, but I will likely be looking for local news through other sources that don’t waste my time.
Bias
There is clear bias in all Media and reporting, especially recently. WLWT does a decent job about reporting the facts, however one can still clearly see the biased selection of stories making their way into headlines.
My favorite Local News, and Weather Channel.
It’s the BEST in Cincinnati.
App crashes and news articles close before you’re done reading
App is always crashing, open a news story and it goes back to the Home Screen or goes back to the top of the news area and you have to scroll through all the articles again until you get to the one you were trying to read. Radar map also won’t stay but, it auto closes and goes back to the home news screen.
Too many ads
I watch online ad getting through all the commercials is maddening.
Love you all
Love all the channel 5 news team have watched it for 73 years.
Horrible App
This app is horrible. When you get an alert about a news story you might be interested in and click on it, it just takes you to the app and whatever the top story of the moment is. Not the story you wanted to read. Then it’s nothing but ads while you try and find the story you wanted. I am deleting this app.
News Room
Anytime I need the news if not on air, all I have to do is call WLWT news room. Yes, I can always get an answer to my concerns. They are pleasant to speak to. Never seem to be in a hurry to rush me off. They are the top reporters when it comes to NEWS. Thank you
Too many weather notifications
I don’t need notifications every time it is about to rain. This is annoying when the rain is off and on all day. There seems to be no way to turn it off.
Great wake to keep informed.
The first thing I do every morning is to check this app and see what occurred overnight and get an unbiased view of local and world news.
When it works it is great!
I hate that it fails to work so often.
