Deceptive ad button
There was a button asking to verify the account with a credit card. I didn’t realize it was an ad.
Can’t scroll on stats
I use this pretty often since I play in a few leagues, but I was checking this entire week, I guess after the update? and now I cannot scroll to the right to see anything after ABs and half of OPS. Besides this one mistake the app runs pretty smoothly for the most part, but I would like to see me and my teammates’ stats again asap

App freezes
I like the app because it keeps track of everything. But…the app freezes all the time. I have constantly reboot my phone to get the app to work.
No issues
No real problems running the app. Displays all the info I need and hasn’t crashed once.
No notification on schedule change
Team manager or coach updates the schedule from time to time but parents don’t get any email or notification for those update
Oversaturation of DM options
This app has a chat function and a message function. We already connect via text and email. We don’t need the redundancy and the possibility of missing a message.
Buggy and No Support
The app itself is buggy regularly not showing content or notification bubbles for old content. When I had a question about registration this season my organization provided a “we think” answer and I learned that there are ZERO options for a parent to talk to someone at SportsEngine. I wish my organization didn’t use this app because there are much better choices available.
The chat feature loads to slow
If you get a. Chat notification it takes 30 seconds for it to open the app and get to the chat

My family has been using this app probably for at least five years now. It is easy to use and keeps communication and notifications at your fingertips. Keep up the great work.
Worst app I have on my mobile
Platform is worse than a middle school programming project. Awkward front end, limited capabilities. Back end is even worse.
Latest version has rendered the App useless - FIXED
I have re-installed multiple times and upgrade to latest iOS version, yet app is still locking up. Update: YAHOO. Latest version as of today has fixed my issue.
Not User Friendly & Doesn’t Help Coaches AT ALL
This app is absolutely HORRIBLE!! We CANNOT see stats like we used to be able to years back, can’t see where kids are excelling at vs what they need to work on muchless who is getting play time where, fouls called and on who/what to help correct our players we coach, and a lot more information like such to be coaching friendly for our players to benefit from. We could use that a TON as coaches of 27 kids between TWO teams. We can’t remember every little detail while parent(s) also can’t see anything useful whatsoever like most sports apps will accommodate for only coaches to view all stats while limiting the parents/ players to only view like game schedule(s) and their child’s schedule plus only like after game final scores? It’s just a place for games to show with times being just a schedule app and post score view for limited access for parents… We then in return have to transfer everything from app to a calendar of events onto GroupMe since parents don’t use the app since it’s not beneficial. I don’t mind the parents being totally restricted, but to have the same access as a parent and coaches is pointless. It doesn’t provide anything useful whatsoever for us as coaches to apply to our players in practice to help them grow. I truly feel that this app should be a # 1 go to resource for coaches to utilize mainly to improve each player individually and as a team. Instead, we have to write notes and video during games while mid coach, doing replay videos at practice, BEST way is mainly reenacting plays the way as it was done incorrectly at the games or the play that was called with detailed explanation to whole team of what was called, and then acting out the proper way to have played the play we just previously showed along with explanation of the rule(s) that apply to our whole team to learn from. It’s a lot vs what an app USED to and can offer if it is truly coaching friendly. This unfortunately isn’t that anymore or detailed enough than a score and game schedule at MOST! Please fix this! I don’t feel only owner/admins should have access to any of that if coaches can’t as well. I understand not allowing parents to, but owners are board members and coaches that win every game now (with them having access that isn’t fair because of this app as well) because they also have the conflict of interest along with additional access to information not give to anyone else coaching teams. It’s not right to set it up this way. It’s asking for politics over players all day long in sports yet again!!! It’s very sad.

The mobile app keeps freezing when I try to open up the teams schedule.

Hard to get past the constant marketing stuff. If my league isn’t paying enough for this app there should be an option for me to pay to get rid of them.
Freezes with newest update - Fixed!
Update - developers have solved the issue. App was flawless until I updated my IPhone (IOS 26.4) with the latest SE update. After updating, it froze whenever I tried to see the schedule. I turned my phone off to reboot without success. I deleted the app and reloaded, but now it locks up whenever i try to login. This is frustratingly unfortunate because we are in the middle of the season.
Constantly crashes
It randomly logs you out and constantly crashes on top of sporadically not notifying via push notifications.

SportsEngine is a solid app overall for managing youth sports schedules, communication, and team updates. The calendar sync and roster features make it easy to stay organized during busy tournament weekends and practices. The app works well for coaches and parents needing quick access to game times, locations, and team chats. Registration and tournament communication are also streamlined compared to older systems. That said, the app can occasionally feel cluttered and notifications sometimes lag or duplicate. Navigation could be smoother, especially when switching between multiple teams or events. Overall, SportsEngine is one of the better youth sports management apps available and has become a key tool for keeping travel baseball organized.
this app absolutely sucks
does not give an easy option for creation of account if another guardian has already created an account with a household. adding members to households is super unclear UI sucks

It’s ok
This is a robust system and has its good qualities. If you’re trying to use the desktop version good luck so many things it just won’t do or isn’t clear about if it does. There are a lot of other features that could be incorporated that would be useful as well.

Sports engine is the beat app and it is very organized and it is a very trustable app.

Group Chat
The only improvement that should be made, is to the Chat, there isn’t an option to send a message via chat to just one or select individuals.
Basic functions
The interface is different on a computer than on the app, making it difficult to navigate. Some functions can only be done on a computer. It needs to be easier to add family member information eg wanting to send messages to player & parent for teens. Also needs a better like function, not a heart.
Dislike the new design
Old outlook was much easier to read and understand. Right now the word EVENT is way more noticeable than the date itself so when you quickly scroll to see the upcoming games, it’s easy to scroll past them. The chat is laggy if I’m trying to click through a notification, and it’s not clear from a first glance who wrote the message. It’s functional and useful but it used to be easier to operate.

Great if you like an app from 2013 that hasn’t been updated since. The user interface is awful, but the slowness on the backend is what really annoys me. Don’t get me started on the “dibs” and managing volunteer hours.

Good for chatting with the team, and other basic stuff. But as for actually checking practices I just leave that for the Apple calendar app since it takes way too long to load.

New full screen ads!
Loading the app now displays full screen ads. You have to watch it or wait for the skip button. Very annoying. Please implement an option to purchase the app with no ads! I would gladly pay for a clean user experience. Take my $10!!
New update is terrible
The new update has issues with glitches and notifications in the chat group. Links sent within it don't work at all. The new formatting of the calendar is not user friendly at all. Go back to the list rather than making users click on each day!
What happened?
(Summer 2025) 1. The chat feature permits emoji reactions but I can’t see who reacted, just that there are reactions and the number of reactions that were submitted (I’m using an Apple iPhone). 2, I don’t know if you’ve received last years comment (which re-appears when I clicked ‘write a review’ this year). 3. The parents are not all adopting the use of this platform which means some parents do not receive chat updates (messages are emailed, not chats) and it’s not always easy to communicate in a timely manner with parents. (Winter 2024/2025) Changes were made and now some users are not receiving comments or emails shared from this platform.
