- Easy to use interface
- Great customer service from the team
What they complain about
- Music starts with an annoying delay
- You must pay extra for each player
- App freezes or lags frequently
- Support is rude and unhelpful
- Data disappears after updates or crashes
Fantastic for music moms
Great app, seamless experience, can order professional announcers and it all works together in one app!
0/10
Very hard to work with, i dislike the paywall, and i cant trim the audio
Walk Up songs
Great app but be careful sharing teams - check the songs before playing them!
Horrible
I don’t want to pay for Apple Music for this and I’m not paying 20$ for this app it is such bad quality
24.5 Erased My Teams
This latest update was somewhat disappointing since it removed all of my presets and teams. I use my own voice to create Walkout intros so to find that my work had disappeared wasn’t one of my joyful moments of using this app.
Awesome
Awesome
Terrible
This app is so ridiculous you have to pay for everything 54 DOLLARS FOR EVERY SINGLE THING
It works well. Not easy but…
It works. Takes some getting used to I prefer prime music and it doesn’t work well with it so I have to use Apple Music. Doesn’t flow smoothly on the baseball field with no Wi-Fi. But it works. You’ll need to watch the training videos. All of them
Delays
The app delays the start of songs. It’s obnoxious. Despite downloading and synching it’s still an issue.
It’s fine. Nothing great.
It’s definitively the ugliest app on my phone. It’s clunky. It’s subscription. But, it works… most of the time. Unfortunately there isn’t a great replacement yet that I’ve found. I’m sure someone will develop something better eventually. For now this is what we get. You can expect a roughly 3 second delay between hitting play and it playing. You can expect a pop up for something stupid EVERY SINGLE TIME you navigate away from the app. You shouldn’t expected fine controls of the audio outside of timing. It needs a facelift. It’s needs tuning. But it won’t get that until some competition forces it. It is what it is.
Great app!
Love this app! So fun - easy to use and works great - including updating the songs and customizing features. Love the options for pro voicing (we went with Joe Martinez!). The kids love having walkup songs and it really adds pizzazz to their games. Definitely recommend Ballpark DJ!
Glitches
This app always delays to play music! I’ve reached out and done what they told me and we still have problems. It isn’t the speaker or my device. It keeps turning the volume all the way down and the delay is up to 5 seconds at a time.
Great app, snarky support team
This app is great on iOS (challenging on android). It lets you change up the roster and swap out songs as often as you like, and the professional voice recording is inexpensive and makes a great impact. God help you if you reach out to customer support. They get really annoyed when you can’t follow their instructions and they make you feel like you must be an idiot. So be prepared for that.
Buggy
App is ok but has a lot of bugs. Eg. switch away from the app and then back to it, and you can’t change the volume. It often misses playing over Bluetooth speaker. You have to change volume up and down once you tap to play, in order to “kickstart” the sound clip. It should work more reliably.
It’s okay…
It’s okay, gets the job done, but the delay to start the song is really long
Awesome!!!
Very awesome!!!
Not user friendly
I cannot get how to add music for the life of me. I already looked at their videos and the links don’t open up. There has to be a user friendly version of this app!! Does anyone make a simple app anymore.
Great app but has issues
Great app but has issues with delaying songs. We only get 10 seconds to play a walk up so it has to be quick
Customer support
This is a great app. I wish there was an option to remove last names when announcing I’m trying to figure out if this is an option but it looks like my only option is repurchasing the whole team at $5/kid which is disappointing.
Best of the Best
Love the interface. Easy to use a give games a pro sound. Keep up the good work!
Garbage glitchy app
It’s slow. It’s stupid. It’s destined to fall prey to progress
More music platform options
Wish it was compatible with other music platforms like Spotify.
Good but faulty
Works great when it’s not freezing up your phone. Having so many issues as of lately. Takes my phone about 5 min to unfreeze. App is in need of a serious update
Upgrade the game experience
Great app. Easy to use and quick to change the order or add players. Multiple teams rosters too. Couldn’t live without it
Use: Walkout Songs app instead
Not really in love with this app. It’s only good for a year then you have to pay/reup. EVERY TIME you open the app, it locks the screen with “tip of the day” which slows down loading songs. Not a fan.
Great app
I love the app but I don’t like the in app purchases when I am doing this for my team because then I will haft to be paying for it and I just want to get a good up songs and stuff but otherwise it is good just don’t like in app purchases
Was great
🤔When you sign up for a one time payment and then are switched to annual billing. Your model may need to change, but that’s not what I signed up for.
Love it!
My daughters team really enjoyed being announced. It changed the games atmosphere! Highly recomend!
Everything costs extra
Aside from the immediate cost. You do have to pay additional fees for EVERY SINGLE PLAYER. I won’t recommend this for anyone. There’s not even a “free” option with commenter voices. Not a fan of how the app looks either.
Overall great, a few changes would make it excellent.
This is a great app that can be used for any sport, just need to be creative. You can edit tracks and have them start when you want. The vocal recording option is a great perk too. I preloaded about 80 songs for my daughters ringette team and seems to be no issues etc. Negatives: 1. Unless there is another way I am yet to be aware, the music to be used needs to be downloaded on the device (doesn’t work to stream music off Apple Music as an example). 2. When playing songs, if you hit the “back” button to go to a different menu within the app, let’s say to line up a different team/song, the current song you are playing immediately turns off when you hit the back button. 3. If your lock screen is set for say 15 seconds to turn your device off, the music stops as soon as your device turns off. Same thing happens if you close out of your app 4. Would be nice if you could have an on deck option for lining up the next track/song rather then manually having to do so after the current song finishes. I know I just focused on the negatives, but truly this is the best app of its kind out there. I have tried a few, overall, this one is great! A few tweaks and it will be excellent!!!
UPDATE PLS
The app is good. Have been using it for years but it’s frustrating when the app constantly lags. Apps are updated often to fix these glitches so come on Ballpark DJ 🙏🏾
Amazing app with excellent customer care
Ballpark DJ provides excellent customer service and truly cares about its users. The team is responsive, professional, and always willing to help when needed. What stands out most is their commitment to continuously improving the app. The app is amazing, easy to use, and new features and enhancements keep making the experience even better. It’s clear they listen to feedback and are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for teams, players, and families. Highly recommended!
NOT USER FRIENDLY
This app does not easily get shared or used. The whole point is to be able to share it with whoever is announcing and that just does not happen.
It’s ok but the whole 3 players thing
So I was using this app for my sisters softball team, and I had put 2 of their walk up songs in and then it tells me that I can’t add another one because I have to pay. I feel like that whole thing is stupid. People buy this app thinking that they can have a good time with it and then they find out they have to pay. Just saying
Wow!
This app made walk ups super fun! The boys (or their family ask every game for a new song each game and it makes it so smooth! And the professional introductions came back within a couple hours! Alan Roach is the man! Thank you!
Do not download
Guys trust me do not download unless you want a virus
Surprised
I found the app easy to use and upload songs, but I find it very disappointing in order to have announcements that you need to pay a cost for each individual player on top of a fee for something else.
Awesome
My little league team loves their walk up. I had a little glitch, I messaged Chad and he was in constant communication with me until it got fixed. Superior customer service. I highly recommend for anyone interested in walk up announcements and music!
Don’t waste your valuable time
Spent three hours creating teams and doing voice overs. Used it last night and it was great. Today I open the app and it has erased everything and wants me to sign up again. After trying to navigate an app that doesn’t have Settings or similar button to login. A message popped up asking if I’d like to restore a previous team. When doing that, the team showed back up but only with the first 1/3 of the work that I have done saved. Don’t waste your time only to have your heart broken in the next day. The only customer service is a Q&A unless you try to go onto their Facebook page.
One problem
This app is awesome! However there’s a delay after tapping the player. Yes I’ve tried all the different tap methods and the music is downloaded into my Apple Music acct. Even after all that there’s still like a 2sec delay when trying to play the music. I have moved to the Dugout Dude app and there is zero delay. Would definitely come back if yall could get rid of the delay.
