Five stars (revised from previous review of four)
I like the Jigsaw Puzzle Plus upgrade in 2022. I like having all of the edge pieces at the top of the tray. But, has there been a tweak to put some on the bottom as well? I like seeing all of the puzzles within a category all at once. I’m glad I was able to get back to no ads since I had already purchased the app years ago. I love the variety of puzzles selections! I like the option to change the background color of the puzzle field. So, in spite of a few glitches with the upgrade that I experienced during the first day or so after the upgrade, I’m very pleased with the app. I play it on an iPad exclusively, btw. The only thing I would recommend is that there should be instructions on the options or a guide to how to navigate the app. For some people, it may be frustrating getting into or out of a puzzle, for example. Or, finding where the sound or flash options are. Thank you! Update on April 1, 2023: I’m still enjoying Jigsaw Puzzle Plus. I have two requests, though. Is it possible to have captions on the photos? Also, is it possible to add a feature where a user can send a photo of the puzzle they just finished to someone and also to tweet it, too?
Update made this unusable
I used to be able to download puzzle packs, but ever since the updates there’s no option for it anymore.. I tried reporting the problem but it directs you to a website of the developer that’s not even active.
Great, also, room for improvement!
I love how many pieces you can play with, the background color and brightness options 😁 My biggest complaint is that there’s no option to switch the side the pieces tray is. Left handed individuals would be more inclined to play if that option was available. I’m working on being more ambidextrous myself and have often lamented the lack of it. Do you think we could get larger puzzle options at some point? I love that we can get up to 1400 puzzle pieces and would love even more difficult ones! Overall, great find. Worth it to pay for no ads in my opinion.
Poor help
Had this for years, now it’s just stuck I’ve added new puzzles but not showing and won’t open, just shows completed ones
pretty good but…
i was doing a 1400 piece puzzle, and two pieces got stuck to the background. i can’t move them around, can’t put it back into the tray either. i’m gonna be soooo mad if the puzzle can’t be completed due to those two pieces glitching out 😤😠
Now Perfect
I figured out the new interface and discovered where everything is and I’m pleased to say this is now the perfect puzzle app. I recommend purchasing the paid version. It’s seamless and so nice without the ads.
Ads
Unable to open the app to finish a puzzle, ads pop up and no way to exit , now it’s frozen! So annoyed! Have been doing puzzles on here for years this is the first time I can’t get out of a blank screen! Thanks to Google ads!
Love but 30 Second Ads?
This is the best jigsaw puzzle I’ve found and I’m totally cool with the 5 second ads. 30 seconds is just too long. How about an option to pay a minimal amount to get rid of them?
Used to be Excellent
Decline in functionality since I wrote this review. Ads are right next to the tray of pieces, and it's hard to avoid clicking an ad when trying to drag in a piece. That often takes you out of the game, and when you go back in it's messed up, sometimes having lost pieces or even wiping everything out. Very frustrating. Just lost everything when I had only 7 pieces of 260 left to place. It's a shame because the puzzles themselves are excellent, but I'm looking for a new app. The best jigsaws out there. The number of difficulty options and of different puzzles make this exceptional. Have never encountered a bug or a boring puzzle. Kudos to the developers.
Missing pieces
I just worked two different puzzles. One had two missing pieces and the other had one. These are puzzles from my library and 1400 pieces each VERY unhappy about this FIX THIS NOW!!!!!!
The Best!
This puzzle is absolutely wonderful. Great subject matter and easy to work. So glad I found it. Hard to decide what one to do next.
Crappy app
Can’t get new puzzles from the puzzle store. It just keeps buffering and nothing comes up.
Needs better background colors
I really enjoy doing these puzzles, but quite often I find that I cannot find a suitable background color on which to work. So for this reason, I think this app needs some improvement.
Disappointing update
Update doesn’t work properly. Can’t always access the puzzle store, my puzzles and history are not in the same order as before. Overall the app is slow.
New version is a mixed bag
I like that you can see all of your individual puzzles on the “My Puzzles” screen, and I like the larger background color selection, but actually filling in the puzzle is awkward. I wish I could articulate how … it just is.
Puzzles
Love the game very relaxing. Also like you can make your own pictures into puzzles.
Clumsy upgrade
Was my very favorite game app. The upgrade is awful, the pieces are difficult to move around, hate the sound effects. I don’t want to choose the number of pieces each time, just let me set it. One improvement is that it is now easier to remove a group when done. Otherwise the whole thing is much less pleasant to use, not relaxing at all. And I don’t need a little bell chime with every correct piece! Ugh.
Good puzzle app
Like the versatility with the capacity to choose number of pieces and turn piece rotation on and off. Being able to add my own images is a great feature. Keep up the good work!
No way to make choices
There is no longer a way to select whether or not to only have edge pieces or a mix. It is also difficult to get back to the puzzles I already have. So far have found little to like about this update
Prefer the old version
This updated automatically, so I have the new. I was able to get purchase of the original transferred but that wasn’t picked up on installation. This version is noisier, and I can’t find anyway to send all unused pieces back to the tray. So the screen can get cluttered when several similar pieces are on it but don’t fit. To my mind, there was nothing wrong with the original!
It’s good
It would be nice if I dint have to write a review just to add my own photos but it’s still a good app.
Old version was great, this new version is HORRIBLE
I have been playing this puzzle app for a few years. Recently, everything changed. Now it is very slow to load. Now it’s loaded with ads but the old one didn’t have ads. Playing the game is no longer enjoyable.
Had to reinstall
I have been using this app for ages and it’s generally great. But the last few days it hasn’t been loading new puzzles and the advice was to delete it and reinstall. I have done that, only to see all the ads, which I paid to have them removed when I originally downloaded the app. Not sure what to do now as they are so annoying. Any ideas?
Upgrade
This has been the best until the new update and now it is awful. I have enjoyed the old game for years so will have to give it up, Sorry
Disappointed
Recently the app freezes and shuts down. When reopened all that you have done has gone and it has reverted to the last time you used it. This is really frustrating and disappointing to the point I am losing interest in using it and find something else.
Perfect
I love this puzzle game it is so relaxing. It’s one of the best I have found.
Was my favorite before the update
Why did they mess with it? Now it’s hard to get pieces to stay in place, they bounce, no more putting borders up first, soooo many problems! Hate the update and sorry I paid for the ad free. Won’t be using anymore.
Jigsaw Puzzle Plus
I have had this app on my iPad for sometime now. This is really a good app. Clean lines, choice of size of pieces to be used. No time limit, so you can leave it alone for a while. Then go back to it. Really enjoy this app. Rumrat.
Update Revision
Yes, the graphics are nice, but now it’s more complicated to navigate and there are ADS! Prefer the old version without the ads.
Was the best app
I loved this puzzle app, however I’m losing patience with it now as the annoying advert strip on the side next to the puzzle pieces flashes constantly and it’s almost impossible to complete a puzzle without clicking on the advert panel. I paid for the ad free version but it didn’t get rid of the ads so sadly I’m going to look elsewhere for a puzzle app.
Best puzzle I can find
I was looking for jigsaw puzzle that have option over 1,000 this have it there is option rotate pieces, show preview of picture of puzzle your working and music I love it
Thanks for Ruining my favorite App
This was the best app for relaxing my mind after a long day of work. This new update is horrible, moving pieces feel’s choppy, I’ve lost the ability of the full screen because of the ads. Very disappointed, will now have to search for a new jigsaw puzzle app!
Beautiful
Gorgeous puzzles. Need better directions
The recent upgrade has ruined this game.
I purchased this app several years ago and have enjoyed the way it works. I would have given it 5 stars. With the upgrade, the first question I’m asked when I opened the game is whether or not I want ads. I said no and the game would not open. I had to uninstall and reinstall and approve ads to get it to work at all. In the side tray, all the edge puzzle pieces are at the top so there’s no challenge there. It’s just a hot mess. Please revert to the original format. It wasn’t broken and your “improvements” have made it far less enjoyable to play.
Ok
Not bad
Jigsaw puzzle plus
I absolutely love this puzzle game. I have been playing it for years and it is the best ever in my opinion
If it ain’t broke…
What the….this update is awful. Looking for a new app.
Nice
Very nice & relaxing. Almost better than real thing. But my cat can’t help with this game 😁
What’s happened
OMG what happened? Overnight the app has changed dramatically. Was there an update? I loved this app, it was my favorite puzzle app and I played it every day but I absolutely hate what’s happened to it.
Jigsaw puzzle plus
Seems like good app. New to me so can't give higher review until I play it longer.
Puzzle plus
I love it, I have it for years and all my favorites pictures I have made them puzzles!
The changes are bad!
The changes that were made within the past few days are really bad. The way the puzzle pieces move, the sound effects, everything gets a thumbs down! They should’ve left it the way it was.
Puzzles
Love this app so relaxing and great puzzles.
Keeps crashing
I’ve used this app for a few years. Lately it crashes every time I use it and loses all progress. Please fix!
Puzzles
Shuts down and erases all my progress 😡
DKTme
Wonderful app! The pictures are beautiful. The puzzles are fun and exciting.
Format
I liked the format the way it was, too bad you changed it
Nice puzzles-offensive ads
I wish I could give this jigsaw puzzle 5 stars, but ads for girls with huge butts are offensive. The puzzles are great with a huge variety of free puzzles. Puzzles are just hard enough to offer a challenge without being frustrating.
Missing Pieces
This was the second puzzle to have missing pieces that I have done. Very disappointing. And I have tried hitting the button (back to tray) with no luck. Hope this problem gets fixed.
Ok, but...
I found it difficult to scroll through the pieces, it felt like I was going to put my finger through the screen with how hard I had to press in order to scroll and not just drag a piece up or down. It was hard to tell if a piece actually connected or not, I found myself dragging groups around to see. It was also easy to 'lose' pieces as combined pieces could easily cover a single piece. I much prefer Magic Puzzles. Not only is it easier to scroll through the pieces, they have an extra section on the left side of the screen where you can put single pieces in order to sort. You can tap and hold on groups of pieces to grey them out, and see if there are any pieces underneath. There is also a distinct 'click' when pieces fit together. Skip this app and go find Magic Puzzles.
