This is a user friendly way of compiling a very simple or complex list of all of your books.
So many issues!!
This app has so many issues. It never works correctly. I paid for the lifetime membership and all I’ve had is nothing but issues. I can’t scan my books in my book don’t load. It keeps telling me I’m not connected to the Internet and now I have to find something else to take this apps place because this app is not living up to it, but am I gonna get my money back?

This is the second app that I’ve got from SortIt. And I enjoy it and to keep my books organized.

Way too expensive an app. Annoyed my husband paid for it.
Multiple Category Duplicates
Used to catalog a large personal library. I was frustrated to see books listed multiple times in different places when I sorted by genre. Apparently all tags listed by previous users appear for items when they are scanned. It wasn’t difficult to remove extra tags and leave the one I found most accurate, but it was time consuming and not what I expected when I paid $50.
A great place to keep track of my books!!
I love this app. I have a bad habit of buying many books. Keeping in a spreadsheet was a pain. ICollect Books lets me just scan the barcode and it fills in all the details. It even tells me if I already have a copy, which helps to know before purchasing. Great sorting features too. Definitely a keeper.
Wrong the book showed up when I entered the ISBN
The very first book I scanned, came up with the correct cover for the book. I am scanning, the description is for the wrong book. I’m scanning a vintage sunset book called kingdoms for kids, but the description of the book that comes up is for a story, not a how to, something completely different. I don’t know if that’s because I’m scanning a vintage book and maybe a newer book has taken over the ISPN? But I’m not able to edit the entry. I am able to edit the title of the book, but not the authors, and not the description. If this app is going to be useless for my vintage sunset books, useless to me in general because I’m mainly scanning vintage books.
Wonderful App!
Absolutely Love it! I’m a huge collector, and the sort it apps are the best. I absolutely love them! They keep my various, huge, collections organized. If you are a collector sort it apps are a must have.

The scanning is clunky, but you can add pretty much any information you want.
Nice app
This is a nice app but I wish it would have an unlimited option or let the purchaser know the number limits ahead of time. As a teacher I have many books and even after purchasing the supposed unlimited option was only able to put in 50 books and now asking for more money. Makes this teacher not very happy.
Great for keeping track of books
I love this app for keeping track of my books because sometimes I forget which one I already have in a series and it’s nice to just be able to open my phone and be like ok I already have that one. Especially since I read a lot of manga. 🤣
Stupid app
I can’t delete all of the books that I don’t have because iCollect Books: Library List should add the option “Delete All Books”.
Disappointed
Great app as long as you don’t have over 30 books. Free until 30. But 31+ will cost $29.99. That should be in description.
Awesome app for large collections!
To tell you how much I love this app, let me start off by saying I don’t pay for apps. If it ain’t free, I don’t use them. But this one so impressed me after reaching my “free limit” of books that I decided to purchase the full version. And I have zero buyers’ remorse! And the one time a feature was added that was inconvenient, they responded quickly and chose to offer an opt-out of the feature! Great work guys, keep it up!!
Easy to use
The app is easy to use and has settings to set how you want your list to show. The app, only allows you to add 30 books. Once you’ve added 30 you’ll need to pay. It’s a little more than I was looking to pay, but over all is a nice app.
Multiple book purchases
I am so thrilled that I have this app on my phone. It has enabled me to almost completely stop me from buying multiple copies of the same book over the years. I say almost cause the times I buy the same book that I have is due to the fact that I don’t check my list before I purchase “said” book, but I’m getting better at remembering to check my list of books.

Love!! Few Small Suggestions
I love that I was able to catolog all my books using this app! I am always buying books I already own, or getting confused about which books in a series I still need, and this has really helped. I also love that I now know how many books I own (465!). I don’t use this app to review books or rate them; I do all of that on Goodreads. As someone only using it to catalog my collection, I think it’s pretty great! There are SO many ways to adjust the search or view filters (it can be a little overwhelming sometimes even!) and I love that you can customize each entry. A few suggestions that I would love to see: -Create a toggle option to mark a book as ‘read’ or ‘not read’. I’d really love to be able to sort my collection to show how many of the books are read vs not read. -The app is very particular; it is case sensitive regarding spacing and capitalization, and won’t search anything spelled incorrectly, so sometimes that can be frustrating. When I scan books from the same series they are often not grouped together because while all of the books have the correct name of the series listed, different books will have different words capitalized or there might be extra spacing included. Often in this situation even fixing those errors doesn’t work and I have to copy and paste the EXACT text to each book to ensure they are all listed under the same series. In terms of searching, it can be frustrating if you spell it wrong or you don’t remember the correct spelling because it won’t bring up any suggestions if you don’t type it EXACTLY how it was entered into the system. Not sure if there is a fix for that or not! -Regarding the search bar, I really wish there was an option to remove the filter when searching. I want to be able to treat it like a general search so if I type in an authors name I don’t have to worry about changing the filter to ‘searching by: author’ before I search it. I like that I CAN filter like this, but it’d be nice to have a default where there is no filter at all. -Mass editing! I would love to be able to select more than one book and edit them all. Then I could easily make sure they all have the same series name, or could mark them all as ‘read’ or ‘not read’ (if that gets added). -I think you should be able to reset your password through any of the iCollect apps, not just through the iCollect Everything website. I did not know that your login info is the same across ALL the iCollect apps, which is how you can sync your data from all of the apps to the iCollect Everything app so it is all in one place. The iCollect Books app does not have an option for you to reset your password, and since I forgot mine I was a bit panicked until I went onto the iCollect Everything website and was able to reset the password there.
Only 30 books allowed for free
As of 7/19/24, the max allowed of books scanned in for free is 30. This is ridiculous, as anybody who is scanning ISBN’s to add to a list has a large quantity of books
Nice but has bugs
I love this app. However when I scanned a book, save it all and come back to it later to modify something (like the personnal ratings), the picture disappear, even though I either add it myself while scanning the book or after or if it came up automatically with the ISBN code. I save everything when I modify something but somehow the pic disappear for no reason. Also: whenever I want to scan a french book, I need to enter the code manually. Since french is my first language and I have a LOT of french books, it’s a lot of work and exhausting.
Great for Special Editions
Was looking for something to track my books, especially special editions. This has found every book but so far. The amount of editing you can do is great too.

Good so far
I’ve been using a numbers file to catalog but wanted to upgrade to something with pictures. The only field I was tracking in numbers that I want very much to be able to here to is to mark if the book is signed. From everything I see I don’t see where I can edit or make a new field. So until this is added I guess I’ll slowly go through and add my books while still keeping my numbers file going in the meantime. My other wish is that it pulled special edition book photos. Most of them are in Goodreads associated with the isbn so I’m not sure if there’s a way for it to grab from there?
Thought it was gonna be worth it
I was really enjoying the app, you can change so many things to the way you want and I mainly wanted to keep count of how many books I had. However I was surprised to see there’s a 30 book limit. I’m very disappointed by this and will be deleting the app soon. I understand you have to make money with the app but I don’t have money to spare. It should also be included in the summary of the app that you can only add 30 because I didn’t know until I wasted time adding books :/
Pretty Intuitive, But…
Pretty solid app, except the Publication Year selector is a dial rather than a keypad — which is fine if the majority of your books were written within the last 10 years; the majority of mine were not. Also, no way to record works written B.C.

Almost perfect…
What would make this app perfect is if the developer could add a field in the book data for Library of Congress and/or Dewey reference number. This would be immeasurably helpful with sorting and finding books within my physical library!
This app was better before it changed….
I miss the “Books” app. Now that it’s changed to iCollect, I can’t get my isbn code reader to work and upload new books. It’s so frustrating because my entire classroom book collection- over 600 books- are listed in here and now I feel like I can’t use it the way I used to.
Not reliable
I’ve really tried to like this app, but it seems fairly clueless in finding e-books which I use due to frequent travel. I usually have to put most of the info in myself which is pretty time-consuming. I am out of the country frequently and do not always have access to internet. My database only shows without a connection about 10% of the time - making it an useless resource then. When it works, it is pretty good, but it is so fluky I cannot rely on it. It’s a source of frustration much too often.
The Best Digital Inventory System!!
The iCollect Suite of apps for the various types of items is the best way of quickly and efficiently cataloging a large collection. I have a large library of books, music, and games and all 3 apps let me quickly create and maintain an accurate database of all my collection for ease of reference wither its on the go when shopping and I want to make sure I don’t already have a title or just to have a complete record in case of fires or other home disasters. The only thing I don’t understand is why the app insists on giving items a negative $ value by default instead of just using the listed MSRPs.
Doesn’t work.
It won’t let me search for any books, so I can’t actually use it. Yes, I am connected to Wifi, and Yes I made an account. But it still wouldn’t let me.
One annoying flaw
I love the idea of this app. As a teacher, I find it useful to organize my collection of children’s books. However, I wish I could edit the genre choices. There are many that I’ll never use and there is one that I added and need to rename it but I can’t.
Disappointed
The app seems fantastic and I was quite happy with its performance until after ten books they charge you 14$. Very disappointing. I have a lit of books to keep track of and this app would have helped. Unfortunately 14$ is a lot when there are other semi-decent ones out therefor free.
Bulk upload?
The bulk upload stopped working earlier this year. Now I’m stuck having to upload them one at a time. Thank goodness bulk upload was working under the old app name, when I had 100+ books to upload. If I had to do them one at a time back then, I would have deleted this app. It was better before.
Very good but need to get full version
I love it! I share all my books with my mom and now we share an account where we can keep track of what books we have and whose house they are at! Yes it was $30 for the full version. But I’ve bought multiple copies of the same book only to find out it was at her house. One book=$30=worth it. Girl math!
Scam!
I purchased this app years ago to be able to add all my books. Then they get hacked, all my info in removed, and now I cant add more than 30 books because my account was wiped out and NOW they are asking for $30 to add my books! Its a complete scam! Its not my fault you guys were hacked! Do not get this app, they cant keep our information safe and then we have to pay more money for their mistakes!

Disappointed
I was hoping to be able to create categories for my books. I figured for $13.99 I would be able to do this. If it’s a feature, I can’t find it. Very disappointed.
Meh...
30% of my books won’t scan, or the app doesn’t find the title, even though it has a valid (manually entered) ISBN. Adding those books by typing in the title, author and photographing the cover is ALOT of work. There is a glitch that shows my complete library in photos, without being able to back out. I have to reopen the app to get back to functionality. NOT IMPRESSED.
Best I could find
I’ve got several thousand books that I’ve collected over the years. I had them in a database perhaps 20 years ago which crashed. It’s taken me thus long to get over that failure and get my collection organized. I reviewed multiple “best” lists for book collecting and this app was the best. What seemed unique was that I could add pictures of the actual book in the collection. For some reason most, or all, either didn’t allow pictures, or only one picture could be used. This app now appears to be the gold standard with book collections.
Data is Gone! No Warning!
I have used Books for years. It helped me avoid purchasing duplicate for me and as gifts for others. Now, my list is gone. I would give a rating of 0 stars if that was an option.
iPad
Would be nice if it had an iPad version instead of just expanding the iPhone version for the price
Limited database
80% of my books are not found in the app database, meaning that I need to do a lot of manual work (wich kind of make this app useless). Sadly I was only able to test a few books before buying the full version.
Don't get the desktop
It's great on the phone. When I go to the comic store or conventions I know what I have. I got the desktop version. It's suppose to link from my phone. It doesn't work for the book. Save your money.
Love this app but there are some bugs
I love this app, I can take pictures of my books, organize them pretty much however I like, as well as change the organization easily. It helps me know exactly what I have, making it easy when I go book shopping what I have or need. There are a few annoying bugs in the app. Sometimes when I am putting in a new books info it changes to another book I have already put it! I don’t understand how this happens but it has occurred several times. I’m working down the list of info and them some I haven’t entered is already filled in, then I scroll to the top and see that I am now altering a previous book entry. So I have to back out without saving changes so not to alter a current entry and start over. Also when downloading the app on my tablet I see that several of my entries (originally set up on my phone) have reverted back to their original images from a chosen book entry, instead of the ones I changed them too (but only on my tablet, the images on my phone are correct) So I had to go in through my tablet and change/add the photos again. However I am enjoying the app and hoping that these small programing errors will be fixed in the future.

Data didn’t transfer when i changed to a new phone, years worth of cataloging all gone.
