What people like
- Highly flexible for custom workout routines
- Easy to set up and use
- Great value for the price paid
- Clear voice instructions during workouts
What they complain about
- Apple Watch app is buggy and crashes
- No easy way to contact support
- Timers often fail to save changes
- Watch battery drains too quickly
Perfectly simple
You can make any timer in no time, and it just works!
Please Fix Widget Issue
Already paid for the app, but when click a preset timer from the lock screen widget, the app would open and direct to a screen page that says non-member can only use the timer set for once. Reclaim purchase and delete and recreate timers do not help, and there’s also no other way to reach out for feedback or assistance. So just leaving a review at here, and hopefully this issue will get addressed soon. Thank you!
Best I’ve Found
This is the best timer app that I found to build the sets that I am looking for. However, there are still two slightly annoying limitations. The widget it doesn’t work if you have your phone set to liquid glass. If you are doing long sets and want to do a better job color coding certain types of exercises then the color picker is limited. You can choose a few colors, but I don’t know why they don’t simply expose the system color picker.
Good app terrible sharing
The app is great and super intuitive however sharing timers that you’ve created between users is impossible
Adequate
The app doesn’t let you know when you’re half way in your circuit and it doesn’t prompt you of next interval so it’s very difficult to track progress.
Great timer and features
A must do those who love to create workouts!
Won’t import timers
Have a friend that built timers in her app. She tried to share them and it won’t upload we have tried everything including me paying for this ridiculous subscription and nothing has worked.
Good app for interval timers
Let’s you make your own custom interval timers. Basic and easy to learn. My only issue is that the companion Watch app eats my Watch battery life. After a 12 hr shift, Watch is under 30% when I started at 100%. This is the only new app installed on Watch in months. Used to be 60+% after 12 hours. Watch app reflects custom timers set in iPhone. Will still use, but worried about Watch batt. life. Thanks.
Disappointed
1. Neon colors on top if neon color is too much. Give the eyes some rest. It’s difficult to discern at a glance the exercise from the background. Create a NEUTRAL background. 2. It did not speak the exercises as advertised. I chose this app first that feature so that I didn’t have to stare at the app. 3. I could not figure out how to add breaks/rests between exercises. Is it possible?
Too many bugs/freezes
I really like this app for programming the workout and classes I teach. However, on my Apple Watch, after I finish one class, I’m unable to go and pull up the next workout because it just spins and spins. I have to completely shut down my Apple Watch in order to get it to reset which is annoying.
Great App for Fitness instructors!
Love this app, my co-workers and I use it all the time, for a variety of different fitness classes and workouts. Love that you can copy and paste a workout to create a new one without starting over.
Ugh
Ever since the ability to have this on my Apple Watch has went away, this app is more annoying than it’s worth. I even paid for this app.
Visually clean design and robust timer customisation options
As a visual designer who enjoys exploring movement of the body, I like the clean, simple design and fast input for custom timers, especially workouts (currently a lot of static holds.) I like the countdowns and screen changes to signal clearly where I’m at in my set. There’s many functions I have yet to try and am excited to play around with.
Deleting my changes
Seemed to be a very good app until I started creating my stretching routines. I spent 30 minutes, trying to make additions to a routine only to find out that it was not saving any other changes. It has been repeatedly, not saving my changes. Frustrating app to use. It needs to have a “save” or “done“ button to tap when you finish making changes.
No way to contact support
This app is great when it works, but there is no way to contact support when it doesn’t. I checked both in the app and on the website. I was having an issue where my custom timers were visible but locked on my watch and I wasn’t able to fix the problem myself via updating or uninstalling and reinstalling. The problem fixed itself after a few days, but now I have no idea what changed or what to do if it happens again.
Super simple, easy to use - could use some flexibility in custom timers. still a 5/5
This interval timer app works just as well as any physical timers if you’re a person that doesn’t mind running an app. Though even with some of the features lacking customizations to utilize in a custom timer. I’m still able to put together the timer I needed for my routine. If they gave the customization more flexibility instead of having to copy paste tediously and in addition to alternative music option for the audio… I’d give this app 10 stars if I could. foreals!
Will not take my money
Let me plan out a timed workout, but won’t take my money to upgrade - seems stuck
Happy until last month
I have never had a problem with this app, but over the past month the timer will shut off for no apparent reason. I teach fitness classes & this is very frustrating.
Keine Reaktion.. Keine Nachbesserung
Auf Hinweise und Anregungen wird nicht reagiert. So macht es keinen Sinn mit der App.
Sign in option not working
I’ve tried to sign in on both my phone and iPad and it keeps saying anonymous. It also keeps taking me off the paid option and I have to keep pressing the Restore Purchases option every time. It works but this portion is truly annoying.
Seconds keeps Focused
I love this app. The flexibility, ease of use, the fact that I can add my own music is awesome!
Useless without purchase
Without purchase it’s just a simple timer
Really useful app
Quick to set up a work out. Great audible.
Secs app feedback
Although app is good it could be a lot better if I could integrate exercise videos this helps with form and makes it interesting rather than a blank screen. Changing voices would be good too
Seconds
It was cool But then now it’s running glitchy. I even bought a new iPad to try and update everything
Top 5 fitness app
Been using the app for over ten years. Love it!
This is not Free
The app lets you customise a timer but then you can’t use without paying.
New user
While there are some limitations, overall it is a good tool for setting a workout routine and sticking to it. I am an entrepreneur, father to young children, with a wife who works a high stress job meaning I take on a lot of the household work. My time and sleep is limited and I while unused to workout all the time in recent years it has been a challenge. This tool combined with a military calistenics program has been a big help inn getting me restarted. I set the program once and now all I have to do is press play and go. Much cheaper than a gym membership and perfect for the stage I am at in life.
Just sad
It’s honestly fascinating how much garbage you can produce for this price. The app delivers only the absolute bare minimum of what should technically be expected. The sounds are awful, there are no automatic pauses whatsoever, and overall the whole thing feels incredibly lazy and low-effort. Charging money for something like this is honestly pretty wild. Sadly, there also seem to be barely any real alternatives in this space — and most of the other apps somehow manage to be just as bad.
Having one use before purchasing isn’t enough
Might be good, might not be. It seems to do what I need but I can’t experiment without having to set up a new timer each time 🤦 Guys, at least make it 2-3 times!
Best timer
Simple and effective! Clear voice instruction and very flexible/configurable
Unusable since iOS 26
Since the update my timers not showing after a sync and are only showing the old apple workouts (archery badminton etc) instead of my personal timers. I have uninstalled, reset and installed but still the problem persist. No contact details available to share problems with developer.
Learn to run
This was perfect for me when I was beginning to run again. It allowed me to input walking and running times with music. I could input music with fast beats for running and the song « All By Myself » for walking. I never got confused if it was time to walk or run by just listening to the music.
Just what I need but crashing on my new iPhone 17
It’ll be 5 stars whenever they fix whatever is making it crash on my new iPhone 17…
Great App! Just doesn’t log correctly in Apple workouts
Would easily get 5 stars. Great flexibility and customisation. Just doesn’t log the workout by its name, does by type of workout. So just have loads of “Functional Strength Training” and not the actual work name. Which is annoying as I really want that to look back at what’s been done.
Thanks
No complaints but a suggestion . Autoplay from exercise to rest to exercise. I don’t like touching my phone during the workout I lose momentum.
Cainetapper
Now an excellent app, but unfortunately since recent updates preparation time on Apple Watch and complication are not working And still not working after last update still waiting for the watch complication and preparation timer to work or are we not bothering fixing them? Countdown timer starts to count up after countdown timer has finished. Doesn’t look as if we’re bothering fixing the problem then does it? What a waste of time?
Great but Apple Watch Complication Disappeared
I have been using this app for a few months now. Really enjoying creating Pilates reformer workouts then using my Apple Watch to prompt me to the next exercise and keeps me on time. But in the past week the app is no longer on my Apple Watch. When I try to use the settings in the Seconds App it doesn’t allow me to toggle the option to allow for the Apple Watch.
Confused
I haven’t seen any useful instructions yet, so far I’ve paid the money but can’t make it work
It works but…
Great app on iPhone but watch integration is buggy compared to what it used to be like. App doesn’t load on complications anymore, and the last time it did the complications didn’t update properly.
All Stuff, No Fluff
Straightforward, flexible, easy to use. Create your own timers and customize the voice.
Impossible
No instructions, terrible UI
Great for what I need it to do
Great app that I’ve returned after a break from exercise and would highly record for interval training. Only build from me is that the vibration alert doesn’t seem to work once the phone Lock Screen is on. If you could fix this, that would be great!
Sensitive screen layout
While the overall functionality and flexibility for setting up customized interval sessions is great, the screen layout is terrible. If you hold your phone in your hand during activity, touching any part of screen with likely disrupt your session somehow
Buggy Apple Watch app with missing basic features for a paid timer
I paid £7.99 for this app expecting a professional, reliable interval timer, but the Apple Watch experience is very buggy and missing basic functionality. 1. If I manually end a session on the watch and try to select another timer, the app crashes. I have to force close and relaunch just to choose a new timer, which completely breaks the flow of training. 2. Scrolling through custom rounds is almost unusable. When I scroll down to start from a later round on the watch, the list snaps back to the top before I can tap anything. This makes it impossible to start a timer midway through a session. You should be able to start from any round, not only from the first one. 3. There is no option to count up in a round, only countdown. For training, it’s really useful to be able to run a round from 0:00 to 5:00 (or similar), especially for coaching, AMRAPs, and performance tracking. For a paid app, stability, smooth navigation, and basic timer options like count-up vs countdown should be standard. Right now the Apple Watch app feels unfinished and unreliable for real training use.
One of the best app purchases I made
I hardly ever spend money on an app. But this was one of the best $5 app purchases I ever made. Bought it in 2018 or 2019 and it’s been awesome ever since. It’s so helpful and I recommend this app. I’m a CPT and GFI and I would buy this app again in a heartbeat.
New iOS update
I’ve tried to find contact details for assistance with this but can’t find any? App stopped working last week. Has stated working again since I updated the software on my phone and watch. Since this update, things are loading properly, or saving down workouts. The menus are lagging. Either going slow or totally freezing. You change the volume of the beeps yet it continues at the same volume. Timers won’t sync properly to my watch again now. The new visuals are helpful and the next interval has a restricted view, so you can’t see what’s coming up next? What can I do to fix these issues!?
Probably the best timer app
Out of all the other timer apps, this one feels like the most versatile. The only issue I have with it is that the countdown voices are pretty dated. With current AI I feel like this could be updated to feel more polished. Other than that it works perfectly
Does not transfer to multiple devices (beware)
The major issue is that once purchased one cannot load it on another device, e.g. iPhone and iPad. Only works on one and must purchase again. Many apps allow cross loading. Developers change this.
Mixed
I initially loved this app, but I am now finding it awkward. The audio has completely stopped and despite searching endlessly online for solutions, I can’t find anything that will work.
