Misguided direction
Keeps giving me wrong information which has delayed arrivals at work, chooses wrong bus stops like it picked the bus stop before the actual one so I had to walk and missed my bus
Glitchy at times but still superior to most NYC transit apps

Changing stations takes MUCH more time than Citymapper is aware and it does not calculate the best route. It severely underestimates Japan travel time and transfers.

I switched to Citymapper from Apple Maps for transit on a trip to Europe, and Citymapper has almost always had faster directions. I also love how it can tell which exit from a station is best to use. My only complaint is that it can be really confusing on bigger stations and not give any directions to your platform, so I sometimes get lost in new places
Recent changes break the app
The app used to be excellent, but recent updates to their route finding algorithm have broken the apps functionality, it's constantly recommend 15minute to sometimes as high as 35 minute walks as part of my journey instead of just getting two buses, it's completely incapable of logically factoring in exchanges and constantly caluculates significantly longer more awkward routes that only take me near to my destination while ignoring shorter more straightforward routes that take me exactly where I'm trying to go.
More Glitches versus when used previously
I have always been a huge fan of city mapper. However, suing our time in London I had a number of glitches and had to restart the app. The app was up to date and my phone is new.

Constant hassle over my advertising cookie preferences
About to uninstall this app. I’ve set my cookie prefs multiple times in the app but I get hassled every day to agree to cookies. Shame on Apple for allowing nagging behaviour by apps like this.

Mostly reliable if you get lost but sometimes it’ll make you go really far for the “optimal” route. Better than Google maps at least
Good app. Awful support.
I like the app but it is flakey. I subscribe to get rid of the myriad advertisements. It often doesn’t alert me about problems on my commuting train lines even though I have the alerts activated. And there is another annoying bug relating to the old London TfL Rail line (now Elizabeth Line) which I have contacted ‘support’ about several times and heard absolutely nothing! Support is awful.
Useful despite inaccurate walking times
Used citymapper for years, really helpful app that I use a lot. However the walking times off public transport always grossly underestimate the time and are very hard to follow, despite being a fast walker. I always change to another app for the walking part to accurately calculate my journey time. Does not always suggest quicker routes available.
Recommend it all the time
So much better than Google Maps. If only they could get the Elizabeth line Incorporated into the flows right
What happened to Citymapper London?
Used to be my go to but lately all journeys are the longer versions and indirect? A journey that is 40 mins becomes 60+ mins? Even friends have stopped using it doesn’t suggest the quickest routes anymore? Oh well, nice whilst it lasted. I need an alternative 🤔
No car travel option
I much prefer Citymapper to help me with public transport, but it would be great it if it had an option like Google maps does for instance, to help you figure out car travel distance and times then I could relaxe Google maps with Citymapper permanently

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t which isn’t good or reliable in a navigation app

Routing overheating the phone
I'm now starting to wonder if the app is using my phone processor to mine crypto because it overheats every time I'm on a trip and it's doing routing. It's been happening since last year - and it happens on both devices I use across iOS versions.
Great idea, confusing execution
Some parts are great. Once I went to the station I wanted, CM could tell me where I was on the route. I couldn’t find a way to choose which station to depart from while planning. Then I couldn’t get the app to present me with an Uber option for the next leg. It is possible that there are directions buried, but it was not ‘intuitive’ at least for me (tech savvy, but boomer). I was experimenting for future trips and not happy with results.

Missing train options, fairly useless for Melbourne.
It like; only lists every second service - even tho the service is every 10 minutes, it skips every second train. & hasn’t linked in time efficient options changing lines with the new metro tunnel - needs fixing urgently

best transport app ever
i dont usually rate apps but i dont drive so if im going anywhere this is the first app i check, it's timings are usually accurate to the minute, you can track your busses and such, it plans routes across all types of transport and is very easily customisable, never puts huge ads in your face or asks you to sign in/pay for premium. it's an all around great app and one of my top 5 essentials for sure

Too many bugs
Used to really like this app. However recently the routes are very inconsistent. There are too many bugs in this app that makes transport planning almost impossible so I had to switch to google maps. For example it randomly adds a whole hour to my travel time. It also is inconsistent in showing my routes from fastest to most simple... the literal reason why citymapper is better than google maps in sg.. Please fix it its been annoying

The go to app for transport in London
My journey go to. Every time. Easy to use, intelligent and looks good too!!
Totally unreliable
Useless would be too kind of a term for this app. It’s the most unreliable app out there. Has absolutely no idea about London bus or train times at the very least. Tells me buses aren’t coming when I’ve seen them fly past during a long walk, tells me buses are 2 mins away when they’re actually about 20… has told me my trains have been cancelled so I’ve gone other longer routes only to find out later that my train did run and on time. Stay so far clear of this app as you can.
great travelling app!
i love citymapper!! for a free service, it works great! i've used it twice for my holidays in both sydney and melbourne. i love that it can access all the public transport timetables in that city and plan a journey. i also like that you can have a choice between using buses, trams and trains and it'll plan a journey according to your choice. i love the notifications that pop up when you're taking a train that notifies you when to hop off. i think the app is simple to use and fairly intuitive. my only issue with citymapper is that it'll sometimes give longer routes and sometimes have inconsistencies in the public transport schedules. and there have been occasions where citymapper has lead me through buildings that were closed off/blocked for a journey.
Needs updating
Used to be great, but when there are changes affecting routing, its not updated anymore and becomes frustrating.

I had suffered difficulties with bus connection from Oxford circus station because of this app guide me that N98 is coming in so and so minutes but not came till long around 12.15 am

I walk everywhere I want to walk to see multiple places on foot and it auto find. Best fast routes , currently it lacks ability to add any stops ?? How is this been overlooked ?

These details of route options were accurate and punctual. Even while on ride, got regular updates about current and next stops. However the UI for selecting destinations and searching them is confusing.

Used to be amazing..
What happened? You had a great app, then you locked everything behind paywalls. Suggesting routes that are slower than local knowledge. Ghost buses and plain incorrect timings. I’m going to opt with Transit from now on..
Need it in Bengaluru!
Loved the app for all its help across Europe. Need to add few Indian cities soon. Easy to start with Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi!
Latest version freezes
This app was good until this last version, now it freezes after you set a journey and time.
Singapore tourist
It’s a great app, but it can be more clear w.r.t walking directions. It’s bit difficult. Also if there are nearer stops or stations it doesn’t show the same that would also help. Otherwise it’s a great app!!
