Payment
I tried using my credit it multiple times and it kept using my Face ID and sending me back to to beginning of the check out. I did it several times and then finally used Applepay which i didn’t want to use because I didn’t want to use that card but it kept circulating back to the checkout. I’m very disappointed because it should not have been that frustrating.
Limited sizes
I keep checking the site because there are two different jeans I would like to purchase but they never have my size available (6 long) in this particular style/wash.

There’s not an option to add a visa or master card gift card with a smaller balance to split payment at checkout. The gift card option will not accept outside AE Aerie cards.

problems with payment
i’m always getting encountering an error when trying to pay with my American Eagle credit card very frustrating
Wonderful app but...
I love everything about this app EXCEPT: it needs to stop having all these vague "errors" after putting in every. Single. Credit and debit card I have during the payment step. It doesn't ever specify what's wrong, and despite checking every number and letter on there- it never accepts my payments. Somehow- it accepts my Apple Pay WITH the cards I'm trying to use... That works fine, and that's my way around it. If someone could add clarity or subtext to those error messages, that would save a lot of trouble!

Cuando vas a pagar al final y ya no hay algún artículo, no te deja proceder con el pago porque te te dice que hay que eliminarlo pero no se puede eliminar al final de concluir la compra, sino que hay que regresar al inicio y se pierde tiempo en averiguarlo y en hacerlo. Como sugerencia se debería poder eliminar el artículo en la última fase, cuando nos dice la app que no lo hay

My American Eagle card, which I used earlier today in the store, kept saying my CVV # was wrong. This was all before midnight. I placed the order, which cost more because I had to use a different card. So ALL the perks were lost. Not a happy camper 😡

TERRIBLE “POLICY”
You guys have a policy unknown to customers like me where if someone purchases multiple things using their rewards and something doesn’t work out, you cannot simply just reissue the portion of the reward that was used on those returned item. It creates a huge headache of me having to return EVERYTHING despite wanting to keep the other items and you having to wait for everything to be returned to inquire about your rewards fully being reissued back to you, go through the trouble of ordering again and waiting for it to arrive (most likely not by the time you need it), and the hassle of driving around to return it in general, the time of having to reach out to you guys, the risk of the items becoming out of stock, and not to mention if you have a total of say $40 rewards but what you want is $25 you lose $15 because it does not just leave it on your account. This is a ridiculous policy and does not make customers happy. It’s also a waste for American eagle to keep paying for shipping back and forth when it’s NOT needed.

The app changes pickup locations without you noticing and then the AE customer service has to fix it for you and cancel/reorder it because they don’t ship orders from one store to another!

I have tried for the past week to place different orders and so many problems won’t let me cash out or says there is an unexpected error but 2 min later lets me order. Do not let system automatically add your info it will all need to be inputted by yourself or the order will not process. Just a real time waster

Maybe it’s just inflation or im not sure if they have a new owner but holy smokes its expensive now i used to love it and shop way more because it was all such soft material and affordable but I hardly shop here anymore and my girlfriends are all saying the same thing as well as my coworkers. Even with the sales its still rough. Nice treat every “blue moon.”
Not optimised for iPad
Haven’t tried ordering anything yet but in this day and age to not offer separate apps for both iPad and iPhone is bewildering, especially when so many of the reviews mention this. Looks even worse on the larger iPad Pro range!

Don’t bother trying to use this on iPad images and some text is just magnified and none of the iPads great features are used by the app developer.
Trying to exchange
Not being able to do an exchange online for a price match is really disappointing, guessing the company has had problems with this in the past but I live an hour away from the store and they don’t seem to have the correct item in stock, hoping when I send this pair back they will adjust the price.

I love the app but the way they don’t show you the matching piece in the next entry or what the model is wearing so you can find it easily is giving baiting. You should be able to buy or see the “matching set”!piece next to the matching set ad. Instead you ah e to search the whole site or key words in in the search bar. Very frustrating.

This is my favorite shop! The clothes are always comfortable with a range of sizes which is the best. The clothes last for the longest time and cutest styles 🤍

Does not sell to the UK
I downloaded this app after buying a really nice shirt from a store in London. However when I downloaded the app, all of the prices were in US $. I made an account to see if that would change the location of the app but there was no option for the UK. There was an option for Ireland which I found a bit strange. If you are from the UK then I would suggest that you do not get this app until there is an update which supports UK shopping.

The Sign In Needs Fixing
This APP sucks! Why every time must the user sign in and the keep me signed in is activated???? Fix this please - moving forward I’m not ordering from this company anymore till it gets it together. No wonder this company got cancelled!
Never up to date
I like AE gear, but buying it is a nightmare. It allows out of stock items into the bag, or says it can’t ship things to UK without saying what. Never found it harder to spend money online.
UK version needed
Now AE are selling online in the UK the app needs updating to show UK store and online ordering. Love AE!

I always love shopping online for the exclusive deals and overall, take my time with shopping. I genuinely love American Eagle 100% cotton clothing and I just ordered a suede leather belt, super cute!! I’m excited and cannot wait to try it on I know I’ll love it!

Love American eagle clothes,unlike the other reviewer I don't want to see them open a uk store,i like the fact that I wear clothes that the chavs can't get Hold of! average app but seeing as I shop Ae online about 10 times a year I feel obliged to give them a good rating! just wish shipping and import taxes weren't so expensive,I only ever shop when I get a discount code to make it worth my while.
