Cool app
I’m really enjoying this app
Crashes on startup on M5 iPad
This app used to work great with my old iPad. Now, however, it crashes on startup on my mew M5 iPad. Other keyboard apps continue to work, including those made by IK Multimedia. It seems that SampleTank is incompatible the new iPads. It is high time for an update to fix this problem.
Need Help from Team
The app itself works decently with good sound quality, but I recently made a purchase for Miroslav Philharmonik. It started downloading, but then it stopped. I tried to restart the app. When I went in, it said download, but when I pressed it, it said that I had to pay for it again. Please fix this.
great sounds but no master tune!
love the app and sounds but no ability to change the master tune or even detune one instrument kills me. cant harmonize with my instruments now. a toy until implemented
Needs AUV3 support for DAWS like Logic Pro for iPad
This would be a great plugin as an AUV3 with support for Logic Pro for iPad!
More instruments
If only you can add instruments like a nice strings ensemble and a good pad it will be more fun to use
IK Multimedia Products Are Junk!!!! BUY NO MORE!!!
This App crashes all the time! On an Ipad PRO, M1 chip, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB Storage. Yes, the App is "free", but is actually "cripple-ware", where you can use a few patches for trial purposes, but the bulk of patches are disabled. The problem comes in when they allow you to buy their IAP sound packs (just spent $30 on two packs). BUT, due to the constant CRASHING of the APP, I had no choice but to request a refund for the IAP packs, which was denied!!!!! Shame on you APPLE and IK Multimedia for your unethical business practices!!! But, GOD sees you and will balance the scales. (Like any day now!)
Will we ever get a AUV3 version?
I love this app and have been a big fan of all the plugins throughput the years. I wish we could finally get a AUV3 version so we can integrate it with our workflow! This app has some of the most premium sounds and it gets set on the digital shelf. Please update this app and release the animals in Sampletank! Thank you!
WAS great......
I have been using this app for years, but all of a sudden now, I can never get sound from the app, it crashes and does not work well with audiobus. I am extremely disappointed.
Good app, but buggy
Yeah pretty good app, but it freezes whenever I use the app
Chiado
Nós compramos o iRigKeys I/O e estamos usando o sampletank no iPad… mais as vezes começa a dar chiados e ruídos no som, apenas quando toca… vcs sabem o porque?
Unrealized potential
It seems like the developers have abandoned this app. I own this and quite a few expansion packs. I have deleted it from my iPad because no AU3 Support . It’s a great sounding app and well laid out. But it’s useless without an update.
Issues
I hope there is option to save exported midi and audio to files app Also the interface is not fullscreen ipad pro screen
Potential
I dont own a macbook so something like this but basically an ipad/iphone version of Mainstage would be incredible! But this needs to be able to connect to any midi device! Is that difficult to do? I would download the bajeezus out of a mainstage for iphone app!
Garageband
I got this app so that I could use the sounds in Garageband but I can’t 😭
Good app By Ben
I just wish the other sounds didn’t cost money
Sample Tank not responding to midi signals from triple play fishman on iPhone
Hi All My setup above worked well for years yesterday Apple sent and update and my setup does not work anymore on SAMPLE TANK ONLY but works on all other Ikmultimedia products on my phone ! I paid full price for all the built in samples I can’t find their product support line if any Are others have the same issues with SampleTank for iPhone ? Any help will be appreciated! The product is great but the support is HORRIBLE Thanks Wills
Good, but needs improvement
I am a keyboard player, and I frequently use SampleTank on an iPhone at gigs, controlled by a Korg microKey Air. The sounds are generally good—not great, but adequate for playing in a band context. (Poor selection of brass section sounds, and the synth leads are boring.) I may use a few sounds from the app within the same song, so I rely on Multis, and I adore the way the app lets you include up to 8 sounds at a time, mapped across the range of notes so flexibly. If you only use 8 or fewer sounds in a show (or in a set) you can set them all up with all sorts of details regarding level and effects amounts, etc, each assigned to a pad on the screen. But that’s where one of the biggest issues is: the response to the pads is really awful. I’ve used the app on several different devices and when you tap a pad to turn that sound on or off, it’s often a toss-up as to whether the tap will work. The touchscreen on iOS devices is really quite amazing, but the pads in this app feel like I’m tapping the screen on my Korg Krome workstation, which is staggeringly awful. Another big letdown is the lack of sampling. I mean, the name of the app is SampleTank, but you can’t add any of your own samples. One might think that at least a very basic ability to add a file from various sources like the iTunes library, mic, or another app and then trim it and assign it to pad in a Multi is not too much to ask. Overall, I do like the app for performing with bands, although I only use it for “secondary” sounds, like pads or organs. I hope IK continue developing and improving it, and add some simple sampling capabilities.
Fix this app
I have it installed. I have used it. Now it won't update as iTunes now thinks it is not compatible with my iPad 2. It worked fine before. What did you do to ruin the compatibility? That is a pretty brainless error.
Good sounds, but would be better with audio unit extension
This software and sound pack came with an irig keyboard I bought. I like a lot of the string and piano sounds. They’re clear and accurate. However, the experience has some problems. There’s a clunky recorder function in the upper right corner that never works quite right, and only highlights the fact that there isn’t audio units support to record more comfortably in a different DAW. Hopefully, this will be in a future update Also, I don’t like the “nickel and dime” in app purchase model. It’s not offensive with nag screens, but I just want to play the instruments I have, not look at things I don’t want or need
Excellent
Excellent! Very easy to use
No. You can do better.
I don’t get it IK. Mix box is AWESOME. Syntronik, B3x ground breaking. SampleTank desktop used to be your premier product. Now you can’t even be bothered to make it AU? Borrow your design team and development team from these successful products. IAA is a no go for iOS production and live performance. I don’t care how good the Miroslav stuff is. This is 2023. I got burned once by a version of SampleTank that stopped working on the switch from windows 7 to 10. That’s why I tried CS on mobile. I’m not dropping $30 for IAA. I can keep using PureSynth or SAmplr. Update your app, guys. You can do better.
Fantastic app, just one request...
Could you add AU support?
Not as good as 2014
These updates do not match the previous system. Before editing , it did not turn off patterns or sound drop outs on my IPod touch 5th gen. Now using the grooves and trying to edit volume or anything else , it stops the loop playback. Loading Sonik sounds takes a long .Why release an update if it is flawed and untested?
Major Crash issue, someone help??
Hi, ive been using sampletank for months now. Ive invested alot of money into it you guys have awesome libraries that help me creatively take the next step and i couldn't be more thankful! Recently i updated my Iphone 7. And after the newest update, Sampletank automatically crashes whenever i try and adjust the “attack and release & inst volume & pan etc” knobs. Ive tried uninstalling it, changing instrument packs. Restarting my phone etc... and no solution. Ive sent 3 emails to your support team and its been a little over a week since i sent them and still have no reply. Please, i expect to buy new things on sampletank very very soon. But i just cant until i know that this solution can be fixed!
Crash
Is there anyway you guys could fix this crash ? I have sample tank and it’s running on iOS 12.02 and it’s on my iPad Pro I really love this app
I use SampleTank in my job
Please update quickly , when I updated to 15.3-4 I couldn’t use anymore my usb-midi UX16 interface(Yamaha) , every time that I try to use it with the interface connected the app crashes. Please fix this
Awesomeeee !!!THANK YOU!
Stoked to see the update for iOS 12 bugs today! It’s fixed all the crashing issues I’ve been experiencing every time a knob was adjusted !!!! Just when I thought you guys forgot about Us ! Thanks again !
Could be much better
Overly complex GUI - cluttered and unintuitive. Not enough sounds, too many "variations on the same theme" as another reviewer put it. Does not talk to other MIDI enabled apps like Beatsurfing reliably. Should be much, much better for the price.
Nice, but missing out.
Audio Unit support is the standard I’m waiting for.
Great app
Hi can you look into this issue with ios 12 I can’t edit none of the sounds you can’t adjust the volume or no other functions as soon as you touch the volume the app will crash thanks
Dont get
This App is Straight garbage along with the irigkey piano with it.
FIX MIDI
Love the app, but new update has completely ruined the midi system and it won't recognise my keyboard, this is a major issue and should be sorted out immediately
Sonik Synth in App Purchase
Purchased this and had trouble, initially, with Sample Tank telling me I had to purchase it, again. Eventually it recognised I had purchased it. Was disappointed to go through the sounds and find many of them were "variations on a theme", i.e. One sound with various tweaks put in as additional sounds thus multiplying the total available. Have not found any really original, sounds or inspiring sounds, yet.
Questionable quality. Crushes too often!
The app has a very good potential. I bought almost all upgrades spending over $100 and it has lots of instruments and loops. I like it, but there are two problems. First, it crashes too often, especially when you switch instruments. Second, I am not sure in the sound quality. By my ear it does not sounds as good as Garageband and some other music apps I own. So it is ok , but not very good. Need lots of improvement. The good thing is that it has now MIDI export, so I can import loops into Logic.
iPod touch 5
Thank you for making it compatible again!
Needs AU support / ability to toggle different midi inputs
Works well as a standalone app, but unfortunately that’s not what I need it for. Even when using interapp audio, there is no way to stop SampleTank from responding to any midi inputs at all times. So there is no way to play it with just one midi controller, or on one channel of a controller. So unfortunately it’s useless to me.
Great, but...
I'm using this app with a Roland PK-5 midi bass pedal unit as a midi sound module. Suits my needs as this is a secondary instrument, but I can see some limitations. For one a pattern editor is needed, also it doesn't appear to integrate with the desktop app. It would be nice to be able to import your own samples.
Needs fixing
Since iOS 8.0 update keeps on saying "audiobus problem"
Bugs and Nags
Every time I start this I get the Audiobus error but even worse despite upgrading to the full version and buying in app packs I still get adverts to buy other IK products on a daily basis. Really really annoying!
Doesn't support iRig MIDI
Doesn't support their own interface. What a joke. Complete rubbish
Frozen
Will not work
iOS 7 fix
Good to hear that there's an update submitted to Apple to fix these problems, which are down to 'upgrading' to ios7. My rating is based on my memories of the app pre-ios7, looking forward to getting it back soon.
Audiobus needed
Guys I see in your latest update you still haven't managed to make this compatible with audiobus. Your shooting yourselves in the feet here! I won't be spending any money upgrading this app until audiobus is incorporated Thanks
Update
I'm also still getting nagged to buy products when I've paid in apps. This needs to be moved once bought as I've already
Good app but
I paid for full app but app logo remains free app! On my app download still asking £13 !! So if you buy using free app it won't it won't recognise in your app store, app is very good and every pence worth :)
so frustrating
This app works great for a while and I came to depend on it. Then one day it just stopped working completely and now all I can do is get one or two sounds using my midi keyboard. The touchscreen interface doesn't work at all. Total waste of time and money.
Very nice indeed
Very nice app indeed. Easy to use the samples are acceptable for use to create songs, riffs, patterns. An easy way to get creative, without being tied down to your main daw. Since I am mainly a guitar player. I bought the guitar pack. And was suitably impressed with the quality of sounds available. Definitely the must have tool when you are always on the move.....:-) Keep up the good work.........:-)
Great app, although recent version just crashes!
Love this app, however updated recently and the latest version just crashes on my iPad. Looks like it is opening but then just disappears/shuts down.... :(
Beegirl
This was a very pleasing app initially, but now there is continual audio distortion for every sound I play. Can you please fix this as I have paid a lot for various in app purchases. I would rate this 5 stars if the audio distortion stopped!
