My wedding
The knot kept me in order … amazing website
Website makes no sense
We spent a lot of time adding people’s guests for our wedding. When people scan the QR code from our invitations, no one can see the guests we added for the invitees, so everyone is adding in their own guests and messing up the count or they are getting error messages saying to try again later. Dry disappointed in what we thought had to be a good way of doing this. Turns out, it would have better to use devote or just text our invites. Anything would be better than this has been. We have to go in every time someone RSVP’s and make the corrections. A big problem is the guest does not see their guest we added for them, but they see a big bottom that says add a guest????? Terrible way of doing g this, pick any other method than the knot!!!!!!!
Notifications
Love the site but it would be very convenient if i could get notifications in app. I do get a notifications but it doesn’t take me to that certain rsvp, it opens the site generally
No longer works
The app was kinda confusing but I got it for the most part, but now to make sure last min things are put in the app right, it's telling me I need to update the app, I did. It still won't let me in. I deleted and re downloaded it and now it's saying I can't get in at all 😭😭 I feel like there's gotta be easier sites compared to an app that hardly works
Needs more customization options
It would not let me customize the texts that were going out to my guests. The app wasn’t very user friendly.
Kelly& Howard
Horrible ordered a send of knives a month & 1/2 ago said defiantly be here aug 30 still didn’t get it W it
Misogyny
Welcome to 1955 ladies! This app is just for you, as there is no feature to let your fiance join the planning. You will be the project manager and sole employee. Your fiance won’t even be able to see what’s happening unless they log into your account. This is not a small glitch, the entire app is built on the premise that the woman would do all of the wedding planning. It takes so many hours of labor to throw an event like this 😫😫😫 But sure, after you make him a sandwich, go ahead and squeeze in the 400-600 hours needed to plan a wedding. You don’t have a career, so that should be a real joy for you
Vendor notification
I love the knot app, it’s organized well, I only have two complaints that stop me for giving it a full five. I dislike how easily it glitches and freezes up so you can’t easily move onto the next screen or edit things. I also don’t understand why I’m still constantly getting “book your vendors” and “ask for quotes” notifications when it’s clearly listed on my page that I booked my vendors as well as checked off my checklist. The notifications for that is daily and kind of annoying
Slow and filters don’t work
The site is slow and the filters are not working. For Venus I’m looking for indoor and gives me outdoor options
Works great until it doesn’t
The app was great for months, then suddenly at 60 days from the wedding my guest list and rsvps can’t be reviewed via the app nor iPad. It is only accessible through computer and the response to my issue was a highly disappointing explanation the app can’t handle that much information at this time and they’re unaware of when the problem would be fixed. This same problem started the same day for my fiancé.
Honestly…
I love the knot but I wish they kept the custom messaging option to send texts or emails to everyone :/
Awful website
The functionality on this website sucks! It puts in untrue unrelated and unpublished information no videos and no help. Worst ever sorry I got it
Great but needs one major Tweak.
The Knot was so helpful to stay organized and to get my wedding planned. To cut to the chase the biggest thing that was such a pain was the fact that they don’t allow you to customize the messages you sent to your guests. You have to choose one of their premade messages and usually their messages are not sufficient for what needs to be communicated
It’s good until it isn’t
On the Phone app, there is no tutorial on how to do anything, so I had to redo a lot of things because they were out of order. I put them in one place and then realized they needed to go in a different place. And it feels like it tripled my time that it should have taken. Also, I spent a lot of time googling where to find things or how to properly do them which was more time spent completing the task.
App not reliable
App pages do not work correctly.
Super useful and helpful
Made wedding planning so much easier and all in one place. Everyone loved the website I designed through the knot.
wedding website is broken.
There is so much wrong going on with the wedding website portion. Says set up RSVPS when it’s already set up , erased my photos when i try to edit a post, won’t let me view my guest count at all the screen just flickers endlessly. I’m worried my guest count will get messed up somehow and get erased and i’ll lose all the progress.
So fun and helpful but
Wish it was Canadian focused too
Do Not Recommend
The Knot was great during the initial planning stages, but I ended up having several issues with my RSVPs, Registry, and the app itself right before my wedding date. When I tried to get help, I got stuck in a loop with their chat bot. I wish I had gone with a different platform.
Needs an update?
When I’m looking at venues and press to go to the next page it continues reloads back to the top of the first page. Maybe it needs an update but the glitch is really unfortunate!
TO LEGIT TO QUIT
The KNOT IS GONNA FOREVER STAY HOT EASY PLAY FOR A GREAT WEDDING DAY❗️🤙🏿
You get what you (don’t) pay for
The entire experience was ten times more difficult than necessary. From creating the website, adding guest list, ordering invitations and collecting rsvps. Brutal experience! I’m having to individually text people if they’re coming because they are telling me they submitted their response but I can’t see them on my end. And they say you can upload excel lists but what they mean is individually copy and paste each line manually from a spreadsheet. I would never recommend this app or site EVER!
Awesome
My only continued annoyance is that I’m from Canada, and this app is made for Americans. Please update. Otherwise, fantastic.
Can’t send digital save the dates or invitations
Good website but you can’t send custom messages or digital invites to guests if you wanted to which I think is crazy
Can be better
The app took away the custom messages and emails feature which was the main reason I picked the app. Good for counting purposes but be aware when downloading guest lists, I downloaded mine and it took off 50 people who RSVP’d yes thank God I double checked everything before giving it to my venue. It also sometimes glitches and can take a while to load. Nice app to help keep track of things but would not recommend if you are trying to communicate with guests and having a large wedding like mine (170 people).
Wedding
Made planning so easy 💖
Poo poo doo doo
Were you hoping for a app That’s constantly glitching and won’t let you update anything? Well that’s what you get here. But you’ve already set up your account and put hours and hours into it so you’re gonna have keep it..
Ok app, some features don’t work
Style quiz won’t update
Like it but needs improvement
App and website are both very glitchy. Even in desktop I ran into serval issues of glitching
Smooth
I have loved using this app so far! It’s well organized and easy to access anything! Helps with planning
Horrific
Does not work. You can’t customize the message you want to send all guests, and when I try to save things, it deletes
Not easy to navigate
Lots of great vendors to connect with. However, the functionality and accessibility of this site are not user friendly. For how long The Knot has been around, I would have thought they would have a better system.
Needs an update
Needs a big update. It’s slow and hard to edit. Sometimes impossible, needs a big upgrade to stay on top hopefully soon
Primped by Sara
I would like to take this time to tell you what an exceptional person Sara is. She was so very helpful and went above and beyond for me. I was trying to get my sister and my niece to have their hair and makeup done for my niece’s wedding on very short notice. Unfortunately Sara was booked but she did everything she could to find another person that could take care of my sister and my niece!! This was very much appreciated by me because I live in a different state. In a world where everything is so fast paced, and nobody wants to take the time to smell the roses much less take time to help anyone. I just can’t say enough about how grateful I am about Sara and if anybody needs a person for hair and makeup, please reach out to Sara. Thank you Sara!! Karen M. In Virginia
Lack of communication especially when timing is a factor
I would not recommend this wedding planning website based on my experience. Planning a wedding extremely time, sensitive, and communication with vendors is critical. Unfortunately, when something goes wrong with your account to support and follow up for incredibly disappointing. Our account was suddenly locked without a clear explanation, leaving us, unable to communicate with our vendor or continue planning. Instead of receiving prompt assistance we were simply told that tech services will look into it, but no one could tell us when the issue actually be resolved . There is no sense of urgency, no update and no proactive communication. as a couple trying to plan a wedding on a strict timeline, this has been incredibly stressful. We shouldn’t have to chase down customer support, repeatedly asked for updates, or do all the work ourselves just to get the basic assistance. A company that serves engaged couples should understand how important timing communication are. At the very least they provide timely. Follow up with Email to keep customers informed throughout the process. I have reached out to customer service on my own account and have only told that tech services will fix it and that’s it.
So frustrating
This app is the glitchiest, most frustrating, non responsive app. I can’t possibly imagine using a more migraine inducing app while trying to plan a wedding.
Cool but glitchy
The app has been crashing a lot and not saving my progress as I upload photos and write in events and locations on the various pages. Frustrations add up and the desktop webpage is better designed for the labor!
User friendly
Perfect for wedding planner as everything is done right there in the app!
Gifting is ridiculous
You can’t actually track gifts on your way to your address. It led to my package going missing. Cherry on top is that customer service is useless.
Non-functional
This app is effectively useless. It freezes constantly on the newest iPad, and the navigation is unintuitive. Venues are displayed full screen with no display options, and links to different sections just redirect to the home page (Travel > Best of Registry). It’s a shame the app is so bad, it would be nice not to have to break out a computer.
Better than the website
The app works way better than the website, which I would give 2 stars. 3 stars because sometimes it’s super laggy and I hate that I am unable to customize the blast SMS/emails to the guest list. They have these canned emails/messages that are actually pointless. Also you can’t send the message reminding guests to rsvp more than once which is terribly annoying. I didn’t find any of my vendors through here because only 1/2 the venues responded and then I just used the venues recommended vendors. Again, WAY more user friendly than the website, but overall could do better by letting brides write the blast emails (I can’t update my guests on specifics, transportation, or any day-of needs).
SO HELPFUL
amazing all to help you plan everything
Don’t Use
First of all, the app had issues multiple times throughout our engagement (wouldn’t show chat history or messages, etc). Sometimes this would last a couple of days. Second of all, they would ONLY show the same vendors over and over and over again. I went to an alterations person off of their “high award winning recommendation” and was body shamed and called fat by the owner. I wrote the review on the app, and they refused to publish it because I didn’t have the shaming in writing (but in reality it was because they had given her multiple awards and receive payment). Seriously, save yourself the headache.
Wedding Website - Why Can’t I Choose the Elements for Each Page?
I love the Knot overall as a tool and would give it a higher rating, but the wedding website building is lacking in options and glitch-y. The biggest frustration is not being able to choose the types of elements you want for each page. For example, I can’t put a Location element on the Schedule page - only on a very limited # of pages. It makes no sense why I can’t customize the page and add other element types. Please update this!!!
