After getting a subscription it’s been a complete waste of money. App won’t recognise my email and when it does apparently I don’t have an active subscription. Won’t be bothering with these ever again!!!

Not usable offline
Have been using this app for more than a decade and love British GQ. Unfortunately since the latest app version, all previously downloaded issues disappear making it virtually impossible to use in offline mode and to keep favorites. You have re download previous mag issues every single time you open the app.
Technical issues.
Better than it was, at least you can see a double page spread in landscape now - but - I can’t get rid of the GQ header strip at the top of my iPad Pro so you can never see a full page which is really annoying. A while back the App used to function flawlessly, it’s been on a bumpy road for a while now! Any help greatly welcomed.

I have been reading British GQ for years now. From paper to iPad edition. It’s just my favourite magazine.
Can no longer read on mobile devices
Last five issues have not been optimised for Mobile Devices. Makes this App totally pointless. Get the US App version, which actually does work and has morphed into the same content anyway…
Back to being good
I have updated my rating from 1 to 4 stars as the app is now back to a more iPad friendly version - single page ads, scrollable content. I’m happy to say that the experience is back to what it was before.
Hard to get the nav bar out
It’s a good app with quality contents. My only complaint is that it’s so hard to bring out the nav bar. Had to close the app every time trying to switch to another issue.

So confusing
Literally just signed up to GQ, but been an avid reader for years. Pricing is baffling, £1 sign up for three copies and instant access, or 30 days free and £22 per year, or £2.29 a month, or £19 every 6 months? Can’t seem to access anything on the app despite restoring all purchases. Terrible app design and commercial offer OR brilliant incentive to retain hardcopy custom? You decide…

Interaction is gone
There used to be a lot of interaction and video content etc. when I first subscribed to the app it was a beauty. Now it’s bland and lame.

Great app. Excellent magazine. I cancelled my subscription when I saw that cow Kim on the cover though. Bovine of the year.....maybe!
Not (down)loading
Simply will not load.
Broken download
I am also experiencing a download problem. Error message says broken or missing file. Cannot download the current issue. I have paid the subscription, can successfully download the preview and have restarted the iPad numerous times. The App support link also goes to a missing web page... Any ideas?

The best
It took weeks to gain access to my subscription
As the title says. The app itself is rather unstable, certain menus which should appear do not at first attempts. Then navigating through the convoluted myriad of different websites that require subscribing to in order to generate a temporary username to use on this app. It was like going back to 1997 on dial up on a windows 3.1 pc.
Great App!
This is a really good app! The magazines take a while to download but it's so worth it! I downloaded the November issue and their's lots of neat little things(like sounds, animated features and videos) in their magazine too! The app crashed a couple of times, but that's not a real big deal.
March edition abandons mobile view (updated)
The latest March 2018 issue no longer features the mobile view of the magazine on iPhone X making it virtually impossible to read without constant pinching and zooming of the text. While the mobile format had some quirks with its indexing of the magazine, it was very easy to read the text. Please restore the mobile version with the “read” feature. The iPad version works perfectly. The newly released app goes a long way to addressing the readability problem for current and future issues of the magazine. However, it renders its archive of previous issues to virtually functionless pdf copies. It would be nice if the old app was released as an “archive” reader for past issues created for the old format. I also appear to have lost access to the December 2017 issue that was the first in my new subscription. I am quickly becoming a very disappointed and dissatisfied subscriber :(
Subscription problems
Hey, Looking forward to getting into my newly purchased subscription but it is telling me to restart the app and then try again. It doesn't work! It is however paid for... please fix
How can you get it so wrong?
Simply awful app. No way to remain logged in so have to input full credentials with pretty much every use. Cannot reset password within the app itself. Issues take several years to download and will not download in the background; thereby forcing you to stare at the loading screen until your battery depletes or you die of boredom, whichever occurs sooner. Is this really the best you can do, GQ?
Doesn’t work
You’d have thought a major publisher would find this simple? I have a subscription, but I cannot access it. Customer services are clueless and keep sending the same (unclear) instructions. I’ve been trying for days to get this fixed. This app is non functional and Condé Nast should be ashamed of their systems and service.
Great app…but where is the next issue?
Much better interactivity than the US version, not to mention other Conde Nast apps like Wired and Vanity Fair…but shouldn't the next issue be available by now? And when will subscriptions start being offered?

Great app designed for an iPad and great functionality. Also great extra features like video which make it better than the hard copy. Would be good is new iPad version out at same time as hard copy though which appears to be out when looking on gq uk site but will definitely keep buying new issues! Could be cheaper but still a gold price comparing with buying uk version in hard copy in aus
Cant restore purchase when moving to new device

Gone downhill and stayed there!
This was a great magazine optimised for iPad. Now it is just a PDF of the print copy. Having to constantly pinch and expand to read every article is a poor experience, made worse when images straddle two pages in print but are split on iPad. I let my subscription go when the app was downgraded and tried it again today hoping that the publisher had rethought its approach. Sadly there has been no improvement so I won’t be renewing my subscription.

Congratulations for the smashing app, it's truly wonderful. I'm a Brit living in Seattle, and am very grateful to be able to check in with the true style authority (everyone here is wearing crocs and fleece and lumberjack stuff...it's a lovely town but everyone looks dreadful). Please would the developers consider a screen dimming feature such as iBooks features, so we can read without waking whoever is sleeping next to us... Maybe issues could download in the background too...I had to sit and wait for this issue to d/load as opposed to be able to check mail while I waited. I am absolutely delighted with this app. Bravo. Oh, and would someone bring Rebecca Newman back...

Problem subscription
Live in USA have subscription through App Store until 2015. Can't download February 2014 issue to ipad air. GQ people say it is apple problem. Apple people say it is GQ problem. No one to contact to get money back. Nothing to do but eat charge and buy paper subscription.
Gone downhill
So annoying that the formatting has changed. Totally awkward to read magazine on phone now. Up until a few months ago was perfectly optimised but laziness has crept in. Please revert back to previous system. This is shoddy

LOVE THE APP!! Being a yank myself I'm embarrassed to say but this one blows ours out of the water! Better content, better app, better visuals, better UI, and better tech support! If you want to fly a couple of your guys across the pond to help them out they need it DESPERATELY! Keep up the good work!
Don’t bother subscribing
Despite eventually managing to log in and being a paid-up subscriber, the app still wants me to pay to access any issue. Conde Nast have neither explanation, resolution nor apology for this utterly useless app. Will be getting a refund on my subscription
