Lansing’s news leader
My go-to app for the best local news and weather in the Lansing, Michigan area.
Garbage
WILX redid their app and made it worse. Trying to watch the news; it gives you opposite orientation when you screen share from iphone. Worked right on ipad for a minute then when cc was turned off the sound went away and didn’t come. Watched the WLNS news instead. The old app worked fine.
Setup deceitful
One screen says to set allow on the next screen and the next screen is just light or dark mode. I did not want to allow that action and it was done by that second screen!
Review
The app is not refreshing when it has news updates. The same thing is online for days. I’ve even turned my phone off and back on to see if that helps but it doesn’t.
WILX
Love the news folks! Trustworthy reporting.
Ads, ads, and more ads.
This used to be a useful ap that i have used for years, but not anymore. News sometimes takes days to update and you have to run a gauntlet of ads for every action now. I’ll be deleting now after tens years of using it.
Closed caption option
Why is cc displaying. I can’t get it to turn off.
Crash
This app crashes more than any other app on my phone! Sad because it has good news coverage. Wish they would fix the cause.
Breaking News Authority
News 10 always has the best, most accurate and is the first to have the stories of our community. The push alerts let me know when traffic is sticky, when there’s bad weather on the way or when a big story happens. I check the app every morning before work to see what’s goin on and what to expect. 👍🏻👍🏻
New Version
I definitely prefer the previous version of the app.
WILX News app
I really liked the old format. I could quickly and easily find what I was looking for. Now I need to find the department from a drop down menu and then select what subject I want to see. Also the new app shows so much of each article that the letters a small and hard to skim through.
App won’t stay connected
I loved this app for years!! I love channel 10 news too! Now every time I try to use the app, it disconnects automatically. I have tried updating, disconnecting and the reapplying the app. I miss getting my news!
So Many Ads
You must watch a 30 second ad when opening the app and an ad for every article you click on. It’s been the same gmc ad for over a year now.
Used to be ok
Now a ad runs from the start before the app loads. 15 seconds of wasted time. Cannot alter the ad it has to run its course. Will delete and use the WLNS app instead for local news.
👍🏻
Good app
Can’t even open the app without waiting 30 seconds for an add! Terrible!
Not recommended at all, I have much better things to do with my time rather than waste it waiting for a stupid add to run!
offensive ad
Why do I keep seeing political propaganda for trump when I try to get to the stories! I can't read anything unless I close it and try again! This is very offensive.
Too many ads
I love WILX but have come to detest opening their mobile app. WAY TO MANY ADS that you can’t get out off quick enough. I will likely delete this app and look elsewhere if this persists.
Laggggggg
I Cannot find the rest of the story on the app. I receive a news break on my notifications, I go in to the app to read more about it, and it’s no where to be found. It may, or may not, show up 1/2 hour later, or so. Grrrrr. I end up going to the internet to get the story, in real time, from another site.
Not Unbiased
I tried to like it but it’s kinda one-sided.
News is ok, but the ads are click bait
News is ok. , video playback horrible and the ads that they display are clickbait at best.
To many commercials
I won’t go here anymore, I’m sick of having to watch commercials every time I log in or click on an article!
Freezes
I love reading the news here, but after the last update, the newsfeed keeps freezing up. I have to swipe out of the app every time this happens! Please fix this!
News
Terrible app. Ads ads ads. No live news cast
Buggy and ad-ridden
The app is useful for local information but is packed with ads in every tiny space they can find. Lately it’s been locking up and is barely useable.
Can’t adjust text size
I can’t use this app because it does not offer any way to adjust the text size within the articles. Non compliant and unacceptable. So I get all my news from WLNS.
