Best playlists
Not sure how they manage to make such fantastic playlists, with tracks I hardly ever need to skip, while Apple, Spotify, Amazon etc can’t 🤷🏻♀️

Added commercials
This music app was great before…. No ads because cable companies pay them for their service which we already paid through our monthly bills. Now Stingray wants more money by either commercials or subscription.

Not for everybody
This app comes from the biggest radio conglomerate in Canada and the app design reeks of it. While listening to radio, lack of control over the curated music playlist one listens to is understandable. But, not having that control on an app is frankly a not-so-sensible decision from this brand. I would like to create my own playlist of songs from artists that I enjoy and not have to listen to some weirdly curated playlist where some songs from artists are frankly meh. Yes, the plans are cheaper than other music provider apps, but if I cannot listen to my favourite albums from an artist, then I would rather pay a pretty penny for that choice. A huge missed opportunity at capitalizing the market by the brand with their poor decision to enforce playlist focused listening on the app and pushing listeners to hear songs from artists that they may not enjoy (despite the overwhelmingly positive ratings from 37k reviews).

It feels like there’s an ad every second song. Will delete app if this does not get removed.
Terrible except when it’s good
I recently got a new phone, and the app keeps logging me out on it. I just want to listen to some good music! Also, after about a year of using this app, I’ve reached a limit of sorts on the personalization possible. The app no longer allows me to like or block songs, artists, and playlists. Please increase this limit to allow way more personalization. It also sometimes skips the ends of songs. I’ll just be listening to my favourite song and it’ll randomly skip the end. It’s very annoying, especially when you’ve been waiting for that song all day and it finally plays only for it to skip it’s self. Besides that it’s great. I wish it had more K-Pop stations but that’s just a personal preference that’ll fix itself over time. I love the app.

Everywhere I go when I wanna listen to quality music I referred to stingray rather than a radio. No commercial time straight music great variety. I’ve been asked numerous times if I’m listening to a playlist and I always recommend stingray anybody who wants to quality music without interruptions of commercial.

I thought because I subscribe to hotwire ISP that I would be ad free. Has been for over a year. Also ads seem to be every 2 or 3 songs — even if you skip! C’mon guys, ads are a well know technology… get with the plan!

Easy to CarPlay
I use with CarPlay and it has a few favourite channels.I can play a station with a couple clicks. It is simple enough and easy to play for my needs. I am thinking to subscribe later when the ads gets overwhelming but it does not yet bother much with the free account.

Love the Blues Rock channel. Also listen to the Classic Rock station, which is very enjoyable. I have noticed on the Classic Rock station some of the songs only have one of the channels of the stereo output playing (i.e. only half the song is playing). It seems to be tracks from late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s. Perhaps this could be rectified.
Stops after every song
The playback stops after every song even with this new update. Need to fix it because it's annoying playing every time a song stops

Always many great stingray channels in the sonos app. Why are almost all of them gone? Such as stingray channel called Dive Bar Blues?

I’ve been subscribed to Stingray for years through my cable, and now out of the blue you start putting ads on my account? Which I already pay for?? Extremely disappointed. I refuse to listen to ads. Unfortunately I’ll be deleting my account after a decade.

Horrible update
It stops after a song finishes and it won't start again unless I press play. I've done everything to avoid, lower the quality, over wifi or mobile network and it happens way too often, so often that I'm thinking of unistalling.

Most recent update forced me back into a ‘free’ account. I’d like to re-verify my cable subscription, but can’t. Seemingly all Canadian providers have disappeared from the list. Please fix ASAP

I love listening to stingray first thing in the morning
Ads are overwhelming
I pay via my cable subscription, but they decided they needed more. Ads are loud and frequent. Totally destroys the listening enjoyment. Might as well listen to radio instead. TIP: Use the VLC media app and listen to your own music ad free.
Nice, if limited, alternative to Spotify.
Having Foxtel is ALWAYS a challenge as to whether this subscription actually offers good value for money. The addition of Stingray makes this a little better and the use ‘offline’ makes it even better. Sure the range is limited, sure the lists on the mobile are different to the channels on fox and sure the genres are just two or three BUT the music is good and there are none of those terrible ads. All in all a pretty good VFM proposition and I hope it grows.

Buenas tardes amigos de Stingray: debo decir que la aplicación, aunque es muy buena en contenidos y se deja manejar un poco, también tiene grandes dificultades de accesibilidad, pues su diseño sofisticado, hace que aparezcan algunos botones no etiquetados adecuadamente, impidiendo que las personas ciegas y con baja visión que utilizamos el lector de pantalla VoiceOver No podamos saber el resultado en la búsqueda por ejemplo, además de no poder manejar adecuadamente el menú principal donde se encuentran las configuraciones, pues además de no estar etiquetados, los pocos botones que el lector reconoce, están en inglés. Agradecemos presten atención a este tipo de observaciones, para hacer un diseño universal y permitir que todos podamos disfrutar de sus contenidos.
