Really like the app, but needs accessibility improvements
I really like AccuRadio, even though I don’t use it all the time. I mainly use Apple Music for my music, but I still enjoy using AccuRadio from time to time to discover and listen to songs. I also like being able to find songs on AccuRadio and then purchase or add them to my Apple Music library. I’ve noticed that the app’s layout and overall experience have gotten better, which I appreciate. However, as a VoiceOver user, I still feel that AccuRadio needs more accessibility improvements. Some parts of the app can be difficult to navigate with VoiceOver, and certain buttons, controls, or elements could be labeled and organized better. I’m glad to see the app improving, and I really do enjoy using it. I just hope the developers continue working on accessibility so that blind and visually impaired users can have the same smooth experience as everyone else. AccuRadio has a lot of great music, and with better VoiceOver support, it could be an even better app for everyone.
Gotten worse
Meh_ incessant annoying commercials, latest "update" has made things a pita to find, no way to bypass song or artist anymore

Really enjoy the music. Butt I am American I speak English. I am sick and tired of all the Spanish commercials in my face. I did not select another language. I have no ideal what is said or promoted. Do not like this at all.

My second review of AccuRadio.. an incredible source of music! I listen to early blues, jazz, renaissance music, classic rock, Motown.. they have All of it in great quantity! I've actually installed the app on the phones of several friends so they can stream in the car! They never chop the songs and always play the full LP versions of songs like Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. It's obvious it's programming done by people who actually listen to; and love music! Start listening now, you'll love it!! Hoping the iPhone app will soon be compatible with Car Play displays in autos!
Latest iPhone version idiotic defaults
The latest iPhone iOS version of this app has an absolutely STUPID IDIOTIC sleep timer default of 15 minutes. Only an idiot would use such a worthless app where each time you start it you have to change the sleep timer to 2 hours to get some decent playing time. Time to dump this piece of garbsge and use another music app!
Disappointing
I would listen to this exclusively if I could have a paid subscription. Unfortunately I hardly ever listen to it because there is no option to actually pay to hear what I like. It is the greatest music app on the market but with that one fatal flaw.
My favorites???
I’ve used AccuRadio for years and had quite a large “My Favorites” channel built. With the newest update that channel is gone and it’s as if I am a new user. VERY disappointed! I’m switching to Pandora.

Brilliant human created playlists across many, many genres. Only three stars because the iOS version tends to freeze.

Lost all saved songs
I opened the app today and found that I had been signed out for some reason ,tried logging back in and it said email does not exist ,so I had to go back to my old email which has hardly any of my saved music. I had over 2000 songs saved on my five star radio,now it’s all gone. What the heck happened ? Not happy at all,it took me years to get that many , the entire look of the app changed as well, I do not like the new look!

Needs update
I love the app yes I understand it’s free, but the problem is after the phone locks I can’t skip or shows I have to unlock the phone to skip a music. Now the other issue is after the phone locks it doesn’t continue to the next song he just stops at that one song. It’s be also great if it would work on CarPlay or android auto. Hope you’d do that in the future
No Standby Screen Function
They removed the lock screen function. App is now unusable from the lock screen. Pause and start require you to unlock to do anything. It was a great app, but now I’ll have to find something new.
Change tracks
So I’m digging this app but I can’t change tracks on the Lock Screen. It doesn’t show apple play either.

I’ve been using this site/app for 10 years easily. In the last year though it’s become quite unstable for use with CarPlay :( Also wish I could make more than one 4-5⭐️playlist.

Love the app
I’ve used other streaming apps and this is my favorite. I love that is it always free. The music variety is great and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 5 star radio. I also love being able to blend stations, and thanks to the rotating commercial free stations, I’ve found even more music I like. I’m rating only 4 stars due to the repetitive nature of the ads. When ads come on, there are about 2-3 (1.5 minutes MUCH less than standard over the air radio or TV), but they are usually the same ads each break. That gets very old, very fast. I understand the need for ads and am fine with them, would like more variety with them. Other than that BEST FREE STREAMING!!
iOS update 18.5 broke this app
I have been listening for the last few months and was really enjoying this app. Canceled my other music services, in fact. But I updated my phone to iOS version 18.5 and now this app is practically useless. Pauses at the end of every song and sometimes I can’t get it to play again without closing the app and starting over. I’m really sad because I’d really loved the channels and the selection. And I’m guessing no updates to will be coming, since I see the app hasn’t been updated since 2020. Sigh.
Not sure what changed
AccuRadio has, by far, been my favorite music app for years. However, something changed recently with the controls. I used to be able to skip songs from both my phone’s lock screen and from the controls of my in-car infotainment unit. Not sure what has changed but I can no longer do either of those functions. I can only skip songs on my phone if my phone is open to the app. This is incredibly disappointing and has caused me to stop using the app in my car. Therefore, I need to give the app 3 Stars instead of the 5 stars I have given it in the past.
Love this app
I love this app however, the controls are missing on the lock screen of my phone. Although AccuRadio is still a pretty good app. One feature that would be cool however is to have a flat pitch feature in the app to change the pitch of the music just like how some live radio stations play their music.

If you like 2 commecials then ONE song this app is for you. Personally, I WON'T buy things where companies try & force garbage down my throat. This app might as well be called AccuCommercials, AND of course the commercials are EXTRA loud for your listening enjoyment. Ya, I'll pass on BUYING the app,

Good variety of music - when app works. Freezes, goes mute way too often. It’s the app. Other music apps are fine. Have deleted & downloaded repeatedly. No improvement. Argh. Adios, AccuRadio.
App is buggy on CarPlay
I try to listen to this because I like the song selections but it’s super buggy on CarPlay…It is always pausing after it finishes a song and I constantly have to re-open the app to play the next song, especially if I open any other apps on my phone like Google Maps, Snapchat, etc. The music will stop playing like I’m on YouTube’s website. Super inconvenient. Fix this and it’s 5 stars.
Love this app
This app is an amazing music app to own, and the website is also a amazing platform you only get like three ads after 10 songs on the website, but since I started using the app, I only get like one after a lot of songs. Love this app definitely worthy of 5 stars
One star because
Only one star because with the latest iOS update, there is no control of the music at the lock screen. Also, my Bluetooth devices cannot pause or skip tracks anymore. I would be happy to increase my rating to five stars if they would update the app.
Pretty darn good
I really love this app. AccuRadio is awesome. I love that. It’s done by humans and not algorithms and I love how you kind of program yourself by rating the songs. I personally feel there’s a bit too many commercials or brakes where it reminds you that it’s AccuRadio but other than that, it’s pretty OK if I could make the ratings so that the ads are not also including rated our horror movie ads that would make it a lot better. It’s really emotionally and nervous system de-stabilizing while listening to relaxing classical music. I guess they can’t really choose what ads are on here but I feel like there should be a setting especially for a family that may have minors listening to the music. We definitely have to keep our children safe so much of this garbage media nowadays that’s why I chose AccuRadio in the first place. they kept sending out ads last week, which were pretty OK saying that they were changing the way that we interact with AccuRadio and that it would be released on Monday, but Monday came and nothing changed so that’s kind of weird. I’m curious if the developers can say anything about this in reply to me also reply? Thanks so much for being amazing otherwise.
Free, if you like ads
Had been using this for years with the odd ad here and there but today it started to play the same ad every ten minutes. I’d pay to not have to listen to stupid ads.
It’s ok…
At first when downloading this app I really enjoyed it for listening to jazz music after JazzRadio.com started requiring a subscription. I quickly realized the songs on the few stations I listened to were extremely repetitive. It kind of annoys me but since it’s free I guess I can’t complain looks like I’ll have to consider a subscription service to have some variety during my workday.
Solid app and easy to use
I use the app every day, really enjoy it. Just a question, would be too difficult to add a timer that the user can set and the music would stop when it reaches zero?

Login works on iOS 15 through 18 but not on iPadOS
The account created on an iPhone works on iOS 15 thru 18.4.1 but gives you an email/password incorrect error on iPadOS. You can create a new account with the same email address on iPadOS - almost like the Account system on the iPadOS app is separate from iOS app - which is absolute stupidity because nothing in Five Star is available in the iPadOS app and needs to be recreated; and both lists need to be separately maintained… not worth the effort, it is easier to dump this app and use one that works across all iOS and iPadOS devices which it too bad because otherwise it gets an A+.
Is now my radio of choice
Provided you don’t change channels every two seconds then it’s a great little app. I’d made the mistake of swapping tracks and channels in an effort to build my 5star radio channel and we’ll it locked me out for a few hours. It isn’t built for that. As long as you do it slower, then it fine.
Hangs in iPad, Stops in iPhone
Cannot use app on iPad. 1-Cannot enter email because fonts and images overlap, does not fit to screen. 2-Cannot load any music to play: click a channel and it hangs in a “loading” sequence. Some usage on iPhone: 3-Cannot turn off screen and play next song automatically. Usually I love this system online and have listened to many great channels for many years, but have yet to be impressed by the App… please fix! 05-JAN-2022

Now: AccuRadio is no longer on roku tv. This is heartbreaking. So we downloaded the app. It opens but does not play. PLEASE FIX IT. PLEASE UPGRADE YOYR SYSTEM AND COMEBACK TO roku ,betc, television . We need this radio on tv. Before: I have this as my radio on television and really please to find it as app. The ‘ Avant Garde Classicais awesome. For the solo composers sections, would be great if accuradio could add a few more names (other than 19thcentury Viennese composers). Would love to see added to the list: Phillip Glass, Charles Alkan, Julius Eastman. Why not?
