The best !
I love RadioTunes for the sound Quality and the choice. But most importantly, there’s NO silly DJ talking, it’s music only. Just for that, I don’t mind paying the subscription.

I see the radio tunes I’ve enjoyed for many years now is behind a paywall…. What a shame. Uninstalled.
Lacks kids/family channels
I love radio tunes but this is the one thing that it needs to improve on if it wants to appeal to families and compete with the platforms that do have kids music (like Spotify)

I’ve been a subscriber for over 5 years. Only complaints are: 1. Smooth Bossa Nova stream has not been added to, in years! 2. When I suggested a new music stream, I was given a un-informed and canned reply. Again, I’ve been a listening Paid Customer for over 5 years -I’m familiar with ALL their music streams. They have multiple slices of obscure genres of music but one... “Beautiful Music” or called “instrumental” or called the more derisive name “elevator music”, ” Muzak “. The service SIRIUSXM has a channel called “Escape” that services this genre perfectly. This would be the only missing genre from RadioTunes.
I was only listening,but …
Where did the normal behavior go? I was just listening, but suddenly I was logged out. Even when I try to log in, I only get "time out" comments. Is there a server or system bug?
App crashes
The app crashes consistently on launch on an iPhone 6S. Does it no longer support the 6S?

Amazing app but one annoying bug When you enable channel switching it doesn’t work still only lets you skip songs but overall the app is amazing

Channels Spread Across Different Apps
Update: My prior review still stands. I would like to see the new age channels consolidated in one app. My other new criticism is the repetitive play list. You would think that some artists they play on the new age channels only made one or two songs. I would love to see a deeper play list. But I’m not holding my breath about any changes. Any comments I have made in the App Store or on facebook have not been responded to so I don’t expect any responses now. I have been a subscriber to this service since it was sky.FM. It’s been a very long time and I can’t recall when I first joined, but it’s been a while. The type of music that I subscribed for is what is known as new age. Fairly or unfairly it does have a specific connotation in the minds of some. However, it’s basically instrumental music that has many different sub genres. My concern and the reason I’m writing this review is because RadioTunes has numerous apps that contain overlapping but different new age style channels. For instance, the main RadioTunes app has a New Age channel, a relaxation channel, a sleep channel, etc. However, they also have an app called Zen Radio which has a lot of new age style channels, including a channel called New Age. But the New Age channel of the RadioTunes app and the New Age channel of the Zen Radio app appear to be programmed differently as far as the style of music is concerned. Anyway, the point of my review is to wonder why all the new age channels, including both of the main New Age channels, are not combined into either the main app or the Zen Radio app. I prefer the New Age and Relaxation channels in the main app but these are not available in the Zen Radio app at all. Similarly the guitar channels in the Zen Radio app or not seen in the main RadioTunes app. It’s great that RadioTunes has all these new age type channels and as long as they do, I will continue my subscription. But it really is a PIA having to change apps to get to a a certain channel. So it would be really nice if the Zen Radio app included all that new age channels that are available in the main RadioTunes app. Again, I love the service and thanks for providing all these different new agechannels. I am a premium subscriber, and the sound quality is excellent. I just wish I didn’t have to change apps when I wanted to listen to a different New Age channel that’s not contained in the main app. This review was dictated on my iPhone, so please forgive any spelling or context errors.

Too much adverts now in 2021
All of a sudden, I get adverts almost every 10 to 15 mins - never like this before You need to think about toning down the adverts. There are other free live radio apps such as capital xtra. It’s a free app and not a lot of adverts Unfortunately the premium services to tooo expensive

Worse and worse as time goes by.
I've been a premium subscriber for a couple of years. At one time, the stations seemed to be decently curated with a wide variety of music in any given genre. You would tune into a feed and it was essentially like tuning into satellite radio. The streams were continuous and very well mixed. Unfortunately, their system has changed. Tuning in now is like pressing shuffle on a giant hard-drive. Every person who tunes in will get a different mix and I end up hearing the same songs over and over. If you don't like a song there is no fast forward button. You can achieve the same thing by selecting another "channel" and then tuning back in. Basically like pressing shuffle again. It is ridiculous. I get the feeling that the company thinks they have amassed enough content to let a crappy algorithm do all the work. Other music streaming services have far outstripped RadioTunes. Spend your money elsewhere.

Much better than SiriusXM! I canceled them. I upgraded to the no commercials plan and STILL much better than the talk between songs on that other platform!! I highly recommend!!!

Nice Tunes but high battery consumption
I don’t know why my phone heats up while streaming this App in the background? Checking on battery consumption in iOS settings, radioTunes consumes an awful lot of power. Also the premium version subscription is too expensive.
Favorite music streaming app.
Great app for listening to a variety of music, I love being able to pick whatever genre I’m in the mood for. Audio quality is very good with a subscription which is a reasonable price.

Have enjoyed the app for many years. Started listening to their classical guitar station probably 20 years ago when it was sky.fm and have about 10 favorite stations I listen to regularly. I never minded the ads. Unfortunately, the last few months they’ve been threatening to end free listening and requiring subscriptions. I now only have a few days left before they try to force me into a subscription. Sorry not interested. There’s plenty of other radio/music apps I can use that don’t require a subscription as long I can deal with ads. So looks like I’ll be deleting the app soon. I imagine I’m not the only one and it will be the downfall of this company. Since the App Store is sending me requests to update my review due to “developer response” every day now for a week. Here’s my update: I will not consider becoming a subscriber to radio. All the developer has accomplished by becoming “subscriber only” is removing one of their sources of income, advertising. People who were not paying subscribers won’t become paying subscribers when they can get radio elsewhere for free. All they’ve done is made it so they won’t have advertising income. If you’re not sustainable with two sources of income, you’re certainly not going to be sustainable having removed one of them. Good luck with that. As for me, I’ve deleted the app and have several other free options to listen to music.

音楽のジャンルも豊富でアプリ自体は非常に良いものですが、チャンネルを2〜3つ切り替える度にに表示される広告がスキップも出来ず、なかなか長いのでストレスになります。 広告を最後まで観るよりもアプリを落とし再起動した方が早いのでいつもそうしています。 これさえなければ☆５かな。

Casting Feature Useful But Unfinished
Unlike several other music services apps (Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, Apple Music, YouTube Music and a couple others others) this app must be open or at least in background in order to continue playing music on cast-enabled speakers like Google Nest, Bose Smart speakers etc. I can start streaming with the other apps, then close the app completely or even leave the network or turn the phone off completely, and the music will keep playing. Not the case with this app. Still, however, this app represents an excellent curation of all of the included genres. I highly recommend it.
Great app, great music, but needs ipad upgrade
Love love love this app, however, Please update to be more ipad friendly. Please please add landscape mode to the iPad. It's utter rubbish without it.Thanks

Hello since the last version of the application on my iPhone 8 with iOS 12.1 the application barely starts and closes immediately. Thank you for correcting this bug.
Punk Pop!?
Perfect, until the punk pop station seems to have completely disappeared. Very disappointed.

Normally an oustanding 5 star app but what's happened to the individual track listings...they've disappeared?! Same problem for JazzRadio and RockRadio...please don't let this happen to DI.FM too or I'll be cancelling my Premium subscription. May ‘18 Review Update: Premium subscription cancelled - preview of individual tracks no longer listed so unable to decide in advance which channels to listen to... shame. Why was this feature removed? :(
Not enough new music
Not enough new music. I would like a radio station with fresh music. Top Hits station, broadcasts mostly early 10s. I would recommend creating a station with music from 2020-2025
Money Grab- Goodbye to Free Music
Starting January 2025, the “free” music option for this app (along with the same developers’ jazz, zen, and classical music themed apps) is being replaced by a paid subscribers only option. Considering that the “free” option currently is loaded with frequent ad interruptions, this change makes no sense. Competitors like Pandora and Spotify offer both a free with-ads option and a paid no-ads option and yet they are able to be financially successful. This app apparently doesn’t believe this business model will work for them. I have used this app for 5+ years and have patiently tolerated the ever increasing frequency of ads. But with this change, I will be deleting the app permanently. I would expect a size able number of app users will be doing the same.
No jazz like it
I have been a fan of the smooth jazz channel since I first discovered sky.fm 10 years ago. So glad it continues as RadioTunes. This is the study music that will get me through grad school. I don't mind the occasional reminder that I could have better quality without interruptions if I paid for it. But I resent the app's insistence that I respond at some point after I've listened to free music for a considerable length of time. That's when I exit the app.

No words can describe how much I learned from this app not mentioning the quality time I spent listening to all kinds of music. Best thing ever happened in my life when I get to know vladi strecker through the app . This musician is from a different planet.
The variety of their music is quite limited, and it's become very expensive now.
I have been using the application for many years, but each year I’ve noticed that the services become more limited, shifting from the desktop version to the application. Unfortunately, there will no longer be a free version supported by ads. The pricing is not acceptable, even with a 50% discount.

Repetitive? You bet!
gdp65 wrote that the music is getting a bit repetitive - one and a half years ago. He's still right. Personally I prefer the bebop jazz channel, and I do like Oscar Peterson, and yes, "Love for Sale" and "A Foggy Day" are nice tunes, but... It feels a bit like spending a week in a holiday house with 20 LP's. Buy some more records, please! And how many "smooth jazz", "mellow jazz", "uptempo smooth jazz", "smooth jazz 24/7" and "smooth bossa nova" do we need? Enough of the easy listening, bring on the uneasy listening! ;-)
