Shows the songs that are currently playing unlike many other apps. It my go to.

I’m rating like this for the visibility. I will remove it when fixed. 7.2.33 is the last version that resumes playback without an issue. They tried to fix it, but no luck. They need to go back to 33 to find out what was working and changed later. I also tested all of 7.x.x versions and all of them have the issue of jumping to a random part of the home screen after tapping on an entry on the home screen. I guess nobody reported this. If they reply my in-app message, I will send a screen recording.
So close to a 5 star app
I love this app. It can find almost every station out there. Also, it shows what is playing on each station, which is helpful if I want to change what I’m listening to. The only things that prevent it from being 5 star - the now playing info doesn’t regularly update, so the now playing shows the song info from when I first switched to the channel. Also, the app tends to resume playing when I take my AirPods out and plays on speaker. This can be annoying when I’m in an office environment.
Aufnahmen brechen immer ab
Seit einiger Zeit brechen Aufnahmen nach unbestimmter Zeit ab. Leider völlig willkürlich. Das WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei. Ich weiß nicht ob es eine Obergrenze gibt für die Aufnahmen. Bis vor einigen Monaten konnte man problemlos auch mal ein 30-45 Minuten langes Audio aufnehmen. Jetzt nicht mehr. iPhone hat noch massig Platz frei (über 100 GB) Schade. Ich hoffe das wird bald besser.
Resume playback on app startup doesn’t work
I use this app in the car while connected through Bluetooth. With or without Bluetooth connected every time when I open app I have to manually select station for it to start playing. I went to the Settings and enabled ‘Resume playback on app startup’ option. It turned on and immediately greyed out. Not only that, it does not do what it supposed to do and now I cannot even turn it off. Furthermore I still have to manually click on the station for the app to start playing. Quite annoying. Other than that it is great app, but definitely missing some important features.
Could not live without Audials
I am radio forever, and to be able to record and re-listen to local programs that I look forward to every week is an absolute joy. Great selection, easy to use, useful sleep timer. Hands down my favorite app. Don’t ever leave me!

Refused to recognize account, so couldn’t log in. Appears to be related to bottom line, something like “Enjoy Audials Play,” will do nothing. Tried to follow Support address, refused to accept log In!!! Deleting this highly recommended App.

the app needs a playlist so you can listen to back to back different podcasts with out having to manually start each podcast . other than that the app is easy to navigate.

Eigentlich die beste Radio-App, die ich kenne, aber der Datenverbrauch ist absurd hoch (bis > 2Mbit/sek.), daher im Auto unbrauchbar.
Inconsistent…
I still prefer it to the worsened apps of my local NPR affiliates (which used to cache audio until they got re-worked during the pandemic), but it frequently stops mid broadcast, usually when information I care about is about to be presented. Still missing stuff, which did not happen in the 2010s. Everything continually gets worse!

Lost and or botched recordings
Inconsistent performance. Have lost recordings or have had botched recordings when I counted on it to record live shows. Incredibly frustrating. Have reached out to them several times with no resolution. Comes down to programming bugs or very poor UI.

Plz allow to change station name as some are a string of numbers and allowing for custom pictures for thumbnails instead of 2 letters. Thanks!
Verbesserungspotenzial für Podcasts
Ich wollte Audials Play als alternativen Podcast-Player nutzen. Leider fehlt ihm die Möglichkeit, Sprache zu verbessern (Bässe reduzieren, Höhen anheben). Shownotes werden nur unvollständig dargestellt. Ein konkretes Beispiel ist der Podcast 11KM.
Needs Better CarPlay Controls for Recordings
Were past the point of this app being safe to use in a car connected to CarPlay. I need to unlock and look at my phone every time I want to skip backwards/forward in a recording. I don't get it, the app used to have this feature! I'm starting to fear I may get into an accident one of these days...

After three consecutive upgraded versions, Barvo913 radio cannot be listened to.
Issues
I submitted two complaints in reference that my recordings were deleted without any explanation. I had about 90 recorded shows and it was all deleted and no one told me why or tried to restore my recordings. In addition, I had to start over with recording my favorite shows and now they have been deleted as well.
Great app but
I shouldn't need to be teething it in not in uk everything's I use it If I don't reiterate in not in uk I don't see all my stations It's tedious, great app but there really should be a way to force it to realise I'm not in uk
Great product
I finally found a Radio app with no ads. It’s a great little product. Highly recommended. They even have Support staff to get back to you in a timely manner.
Once the best, now hardly useful
The lack of support for DASH and HLS streams means Audials is now missing out on a significant number of streams. The UI has gotten much worse compared to five years ago or so. For example, the sleep timer and ban button are so close together that enabling the timer will often ban the station, too. For some reason the initial Favorites view is curtailed, so you need to press another button to view them all. Lastly, some bizarre country filtering was introduced that sometimes makes the app think I’m in the UK and remove all non-UK stations. This once was by far the best radio app out there, and a life saver when TuneIn decided its paid subscribers needed to pay extra to continue using the already paid for TuneIn app. Now it’s mediocre at best, easily bettered by fairly simple competitors like Broadcasts or myTuner.
carplay: questionable choices
When someone uses carplay the basic idea is to remove the number of clicks to the minimum, instead: 1) by opening App is impossible to go to Favorites with 1 click. there's no such icon. I have to navigate. 2) once in Favorites, there's the list of stations presented as tiles. by clicking a tile i can't start Play, instead opens the submenu with Play button to click. Thus 2 clicks instead of one. if you want to make it right( as I see it) then the click on a tile should start Play, if i want to see more info about a station, its better to add smth like an Arrow button ">" and then i open Details screen with a station logo etc.
Can’t record a station and use your phone
If you are trying to record a show you can’t open another app or use your phone. The recording stops.
The go-to iPhone streamer, not so good on iPad (September 2023)
I’ve used Audials for a few years. The extensive list of streams and podcasts is great. What makes Audials good is the user interface which works well on a small screen and in CarPlay. I lowered my rating because I have had problems on iPad 7th generation with Audials stopping streaming or crashing, typically in under five minutes. I tried deleting the app and its data and reinstalling, but that didn’t help. For now, I’ll be satisfied with walking in the park and riding in the car using Audials on my iPhone.

This app has deleted my recordings not only once but twice. I contacted support but no response. I believe someone is monitoring what stations I listen to and deleted my recordings on purpose.

Favourites erased without warning.
I’ve used this app for a number of years and up to now it’s been excellent, especially for being able to scroll through stations using the control on the car. However, since the latest upgrade, half of my favourites have without warning been erased, and I can find no easy way to put them back. Very disappointing.
No schedule recording function
Can someone tell me why I cannot schedule a timer recording on iOS ? I don’t sit around waiting for a broadcast to start nor do I wait for it to end, I might as well listen anyway. Kind of makes a record function redundant. Please add asap, it will turn this app from like so many others to no need to use any other app ☹️☹️☹️

Please make your app like tune in radio app where recording is an amazing experience. Audials doesn’t record properly, recordings get lost, disappear or don’t record. Great apart from that. Thank you
Great for internet streaming
I have been using Audials for almost 3 years and it does a great job streaming my favorite Internet radio stations. At home or in the car with CarPlay, it’s my first choice for those stations.

Useless if you want news. Doesn't even have BBC.

The best free app ever! I give it a 4•5 rating, the app still needs some minor tweaking to fix some issues/bugs.
Unstable
It’s unfortunate that this happens, it would be a great app. The recording function quits whenever it likes and the feeds cut out quite often. I recorded radio shows several times and had very little success. It shows that I have recorded over 5 hours of radio, only to find out that I can only listen to 45 mins. I hope that they can fix these issue to make it, a reliable app for expats living overseas.
Easy to mess up recording
Audials needs two things. 1) A one touch show recording button. Several times I’ve done what I think is set a recording, the app says it is recording...but it isn’t. Very frustrating. The other thing needed is a timer, for those who live in that great big thing outside of the USA, called the World. Nic

Because I am in the UK, I can only get UK stations
When I first bought this App years ago, I was able to get stations worldwide, but since then, all my non-UK stations are no longer available and all my recordings have disappeared. Why is that only UK stations are available to your UK-based customers?

WORKS GREAT NOW!
In the past this app’s recording function was very unreliable and glitchy, but happy I gave it another chance because the past problems seem to be fixed now. I use it to record a live radio show to listen to later. In the past, 50 percent of the time the audio wouldn’t save after recording which was very disappointing, but now it seems to work flawlessly. The radio show always records. Thanks for fixing and making this a very useful and reliable app.

Good app with plenty of features but really needs Chromecast audio support to be ahead of the pack
Issues
Way slow to load and play podcasts. Looks pretty but crash city on iPad 1. Search function requires way more effort than necessary. Needs ez skip fast-forward/rewind function. Way too clunky interface on iphone. Should be much easier to "get around" and do things (like simple swipe right to enable delete, or much easier way to fav casts or stations, more like the ipad version), Also needs ez skip fast-forward/rewind function. iPhone version only way to dismiss 'Favor' selector pop-up screen on iphone in portrait mode is to flip to landscape (certainly not convenient if in a dock). If a cast/station is already favorited, you should be told so, not have a second copy of the same one added to your favs list. Search function needs work too, again far too clunky to find stations and casts. Sorry, really want to love this app but as it stands Jul 2015 it still isn't happening, too much frustration in too many areas.
