The Holy Grail for Baby Weaning
I have been using this app since I first started weaning my little boy 7 months ago. As an anxious first time Mum with a baby who had CMPA, I really wanted to make sure that he was having nutritious meals at every stage - which initially had to be dairy free or adaptable. The recipes, app set up and guidance is brilliant and took so much of the guesswork out of weaning. My little one is now 13 months old and has a very healthy appetite - there are very few things he won’t eat! Much of that is due to the variety I was able to give him through the recipes on this app. I will continue to use it and am so grateful it exists! If you’re on a weaning journey, I can’t recommend Annabel’s app enough.
Have to pay to access recipes
Can’t access any recipes unless you pay.
Good for quick search
I have an 11 month old and I really like the app for being able to search by ingredients to work out what you can make - very useful and also to be able to favourite recipes. The app loads slowly which could be improved. There could also be a wider variety of egg free and dairy free recipes.
Glitchy app
Great recipes but the app is so glitchy!
Hit and miss
Some of the recipes are fantastic and the search feature is amazing. The apps let down by a couple of things: -it’s slow. Super slow, struggled to load often. - some of the recipes will be labelled no cook but contained cooked ingredients. Ie. puree requiring roasted vegetables IS NOT “no cook”. -freezing/stoate information often not present. Once my next billing period is up I won’t be renewing.
Best feeding app
Honestly cannot recommend this app enough. I love it so much. It has made feeding my baby (now toddler) so easy and he is such a good eater from all the different meals we have tried. If you’re a new mum with no idea what or how to start - honestly use this app it’s brilliant. And even if you’re not a new mum, the family meals and toddler food is just great at giving ideas. Worth every penny!
App doesn’t work even when paying
I’ve had this for a couple of years, never loads the recipes, constantly having to force close it and try again. It’s been updated and now I can’t see anything at all. I pay for this yearly so don’t bother wasting your money.
Great for recipe ideas
I’ve been using this to make meals for my baby and it’s really easy to use and gives the method in a simple way
Needs to be fixed
This app needs some serious work or update or I’m deleting it 2 weeks ago played up where it took a few minutes to load now it’s messing up again. It takes days before anything’s even fixed
Great recipes, extremely slow app
This is the slowest app I have ever used, even after several updates. It takes ages to load and open recipes. The slowness ruins an otherwise good app full of great recipes.
Amazing app!
Such an amazing app to have right at your fingertips for when you’ve ran out of inspiration! So many easy to prep ideas - and you can even get your little ones involved in the cooking process too
Impossible to sign up
I just want to subscribe it’s impossible to do so. The free trial button doesn’t work and there’s no other way to do so.
Great categories
I love how the app is broken down to find the right age and kind of food you want to cook
Needs improvement
The app only includes the metric system. It takes time to convert every ingredient into the US measuring system. Not worth it if you don’t commonly use the metric system.
Okay
I enjoy the recipes that the app provides but I do find it frustrating that whenever I save a recipe to my favorites or the shopping list it isn’t there in the future. So I keep having to go back and search the recipes I wanted to try instead of being kept in my favorites. Super frustrating
Saving mums from weaning hell!
If you’re weaning a little one and constantly wondering “what on earth can I make today?”… this app has honestly been a lifesaver for me. 🙌 Frankie is currently going through the classic phase of throwing half her food on the floor 🤦♀️, so I’m always looking for recipes that are nutritious, easy to make and packed with lots of different ingredients. Today we made these cheesy sweet potato & mushroom tots 🧀🍠🍄, and they’re such a great way to sneak in plenty of goodness in one bite. They’re perfect for little hands too! The app has given me so many ideas when I’ve completely run out of inspiration, and it’s definitely made weaning feel a lot less overwhelming. If you’re a mum who’s stuck in a rut with what to feed your baby, I’d genuinely recommend giving it a try. It’s been one of the most useful apps on my phone during our weaning journey! 💛
Disappointed
Was ok to begin with but after a week recipe pictures were no longer visible and all the tabs on the homepage were unable to be clicked on. Contacted HQ 3 days ago but no response
Lovely, helpful app
I find this app really helpful in navigating the ups and downs of feeding my fussy eater. Only downside, for me, is there are a lot of meals with pasta, so would be nice to have a few more pasta-free options! Other than that, highly recommended!
It takes 1 to 2 min to open the app
The content is nice, but it takes such a long time to open the app! I can’t believe they can’t fix the issue. 1 to 2 minutes to open the app! Each time. I will stop the monthly subscription.
Great recipes but needs tech issues sorting
Great recipes but app is constantly crashing so looking at cancelling subscription because of this such a shame.
Makes mum life so much easier
Even the fussiest of eaters enjoy these recipes! My 3 year old loves cooking with me and enjoys now helping to cook for his little sister too. Great recipes that are not complicated and full of ingredients you already have in your cupboard. Love that it’s also suitable for us grownups too!
Glitchy app. Waste on money. Paid 1 year subscription didn’t cook 1 recipe
Awful app. I paid for a whole year subscription and could never get the app to work. It was beyond frustrating and a waste of money.
Life saver!!!
Love this app so helpful
Needs improvement
I purchased this, because the website is great and was looking for more functionality with saving recipes and shopping list. This app needs a lot of work. It takes FOREVER to load, and there are not as many recipes as I expected. I would like to see identical copies of the recipes from the website plus additional for paying for the app. Love the recipes, though!
App constantly crashes
The app has fantastic recipes and I use the app religiously but it’s very frustrating when the app is constantly crashing. The search function no longer works either. I never used to have problems with it crashing or the search function
Brilliant
Love love this ! So easy for meals for the children and the family . It’s amazing for weaning too and gives you so many ideas . Honestly so happy with this app!
False advertising ‘free guide’
1: I put in my details to receive the “FREE 20 first foods guide” all I received was a email trying to get me to purchase the app, with no guide in sight. I was able to look at the app without starting the free trial and the guide is no where to be seen. This is false marketing and has put me off purchasing the subscription. If you want customers, be honest. 2: Also after reading other reviews I’m happy to pass. Sounds like a scam. 3 Final note: Making people pay for a puree (eg. Apple and banana) is crazy. All you have to do is steam it and blend it… crazy.
Very good but no shrimp recipe
I love this app. However, there are no shrimp recipe.
Disappointed
I thought there would be more recipes. The functionality could be improved. I don’t think the shopping list function works very seamlessly.
Looks good but don’t know
I can never get this app to work, takes forever to load & the 7 day free trial doesn’t work, I tick the t&cs box and nothing happens. I must be doing something wrong ?!?
Great recipes!
I have been using this app since 2024 for my babies/ toddler and family recipes. There’s always new recipes to try and a wide range of different ingredients to suit all diets. It makes my life that little bit easier when it comes to my little one’s meal times.
Needs technical improvements
The recipes are fantastic yet the app itself is so slow and crashy
Great app!
Found this app brilliant, very easy to follow, my 14 month daughter loves all recipes and her 3 yr old brother also.. Keep the new ideas coming!!
Good content, terrible app
The headline says it all. There’s great content in here, but the app functionality is definitely not worth the cost of the app. Sorting/filtering features need work.
Great recipes but the app not so good
I love Annabel’s recipes but the app glitches all the time. I can’t load any recipes and it’s been like this for days. Not sure what to do.
Easy to use, perfect for everyone
Really easy app to use, a huge variety of recipes for the whole family! We love the layout the app as well as the incredible content. Highly recommend
Won’t be renewing my subscription
Many of the recipe methods are wrong, don’t correspond to the recipe or have missing steps. Very frustrating and shouldn’t be so hard to get a basic recipe right
My helping hand
Very helpful app I'm just starting 2 feed my 5 mt old an my 3 year old is a fussy eater so very handy. Thanks
All of the pictures are the same
There are not too many recipes and the pictures are all the same for all the recipes.
Can’t access
I bought this app 2 years ago Now it’s been updated and I can’t seem to get in? I’ve already paid for it and shouldn’t have to pay again
Anyone can do it!
Super easy to follow, allowing any baby a great and healthy start in life 🥦
Rubbish recipes
Don’t waste your time, had a subscription for more than a year. Tried a few recipes and they were just totally off, not at all like the pictures/ videos. If you are a tired parent, and you don’t like to waste your precious time then don’t bother with this awful service
Fantastic App
Great App, have the books also but this is just very handy & love the video demos
Keeps crashing
This is a good app for recipes and I use it quite a bit but unfortunately it crashes a lot
Great
I found this app great but think it should include more tips, like getting the cubes out of ice trays. I'm just weaning my little one and find the planner very useful.
The recipes and use of app
The app is amazing and really covers each stage of weaning and the recipes are simple and easy to follow!
DO NOT GET THIS APP
You literally have to have a membership to see any recipes at all. For $8/month, you can find recipes that you can find for free online. Ridiculous
Love it!
Love the app. Still use the book too but the shopping list is so handy.
Frustrating
Useful app in theory but in reality apart from being very vague on portion size etc this app takes up a lot of storage space on your phone.Considering its a paid app I'm really frustrated I can't install updated version(481 MB)
Expensive & not great for toddlers
Not alot of recipes for toddlers & it needs to be updated
