Reading Plan Review
I chose the Classical reading plan and I love it; however, it jumps around and can be confusing for new readers of the Bible. I wish I had chosen the Chronological Reading plan. I believe it would be easier. I do like the plan I have has different books to read from on the same day. The con, at times I have to restart the app to see my reading plan. The reading plan will not be visible until I close out the app page from my history/recently viewed pages on the iPhone. I definitely would suggest this Bible app.
Too many ADS
I don’t think I’ve ever tried to use an app that had this many ads. It is extremely frustrating and some of the ads are just completely inappropriate. Unfortunately, I will be deleting this app. I don’t know how anyone is Happy using it with this many pop-ups and ads
This is a great app
I really like this app because it is much better than bringing a book bible with you every where you go. I also like how it saves what chapter you are in, and you can highlight the important verses to you,and this app gives you a bible verse everyday. I definitely RECOMMEND!!
Advertising Too Much
You open the app and it jumps on to a full advertisement that you have to click a link to get out of (like a virus does). Very sketchy. Then as you move around there is advertisements constantly placed throughout and more pop ups. The advertisements placed throughout are not godly images. An example one shows a large chested woman in a tight belly shirt with a tiny scripture across her breast. I’m not going to be using this app moving forward.
Ads
Way too many ads
Review from Jacob Y.
Best Bible App I’ve found and used in a long time. 😇
Can’t Cancel/Delete App
I’m trying to delete this app and cancel my subscription, which the app repeatedly says you can do “at any time,” especially during the trial period. It won’t let me.
Future Updates
New to the app, so far I am enjoying the functionality of the app and the various tools and guides to better understand GOD’s word. However, online Bible Study Tools offer a translation comparison feature that I absolutely love! I hope this feature is added to the app in the future.
The App
I started using this app on January the first. I have tried other apps and ended up deleting them because of the cost. Thank you for offering this for free. However, while using the app when I first started, after my first day of reading the app didn't mark my readings and the next day it told me I had no plan. After a few refreshes of the page, the plan came back. I noticed that the verse was one thing and by the time I finished reading and went back to the home page the verse for the day had changed. There might be a lag in the app as well when updating my reading sessions. When I opened it this morning it was on day four when today is day six. Despite all that I do enjoy the app and I am excited about my reading plan for this year. I hope those minor issues can be corrected.
Audio Book
Just downloaded the app after finding the audio version of the KJV that I really loved. Was hoping to find that in the app as well. Maybe in a future update? Regardless I think all of the resources within the app are very useful
Bible study for today
Very educational
Ads are so intrusive that the app is useless
I downloaded this app because of a couple of translations were not available elsewhere, however the ads are so intrusive that i can’t stand to use the app. I would be interested in an ad-free pay version if available.
Daily Bible Readig
I have been using Bible Study Tools for over 5 years. This latest update is frustrating to use. I prefer reading the Bible chronologically but find one year reading it does not enable me to receive the full benefit of His Word. So, I have been using the Chronologically reading but take two days to read their recommended daily scripture. It is almost impossible to find the checkmark side of the site and takes way too long to do something that used to be a nonissue. The site is no longer seamless. I would also love to see a 2 year reading in the Chronological version.
Dissatisfaction
I was very excited when I accessed this study tool through the internet. However once I downloaded and tried some of the research resources not one commentary was free. Annoying adds before you even access the app at the top of the screen. I don’t mind making a donation but paying for plus when the internet version is very effective. I will go back to the YouBetsion for Bible references and utilize the internet for commentary. Such a shame.
Update please
This is an amazing app! It would be great if you could do regular updates! Updates for the new iPhones are needed
So Far…
So far I like the app except for the sermons on here for pastors. If a pastor can not prepare a sermon for the congregation that is Holy Spirit inspired, then that person does not need to be behind a pulpit of any kind.
Reading the Bible
I just want to read the Bible!
God is so Awesome!
The lord is good. Thanks for a study tool to help me guide me through the word of God. God is love!
Bible reading plan doesn’t display on screen
The reading plans frequently disappears off my iPad. I have to log in the website to get the daily reading plan.
Unsynced
Started using chronological on mac laptop which has been good, except when it all just vanished and I had to start again. Trying to use iphone app but it doesn’t synch with my existing plan so it is a bit frustrating...
Ok
Ok
Reading plans
Reading plans do not work on the app. I am actively using s reading plan on the website but when I try to continue it on the app, it does not work.
Good starter app, but
The app is a good starter tool for those needing quick reference and a new daily scripture to read. However, I have noticed that the app will show a new daily scripture with verses that have already been highlighted, as if I had already read it. It became confusing because I know I didn’t read or highlight some of those verses before. I’m going to have to find another app that won’t confuse my studies and only highlight what I’ve actually read and highlighted myself.
Used to be a Nice App
I used to really like this app for learning more about the Bible, but when I opened it today, the home page was taken over by those horrible Temu ads that took over the Home Screen and took several minutes for the ‘x’ appeared to close it. There are better apps out there without those annoying ads so I deleted this one.
Great content, bad tech!
Love the content and am currently addicted to the thematic reading plan. Love that I can click off “completed passage” for each day that I complete the readings in the plan. However, ever since the notification to sign up for the topical daily bible study popped up... I have not been able to click “subscribe” or choose not to subscribe and I cannot open the app past that point. It’s frozen. I got it to work on my iPad but it won’t work on my iPhone. Really disappointing! Please fix this soon!!
Useful
Thank you. Very useful for my studies.
App is glitchy
I downloaded this app to track a specific reading schedule. It worked the first day. Won’t even pull up reading plans the second day. I’ve tried deleting and re-downloading. Now it won’t open just the Bible. I’ll probably delete it entirely and find a new app.
My problem with the app
This app was very helpful!!But the thing i was looking for was the bible verse of the day but on a widget do it was be on my lock screen or home screen.I feel like when i wake up seeing the bible verse of the day i get way more motivated for the day and to read my bible. If it had that feature i would rate the app 5 stars but i still love the app and the features that it does have! But other then that i’ve really been loving the app!!
Access
Won’t let me search for particular chapters and verses. Basically no longer searchable so useless.
Good App but a few things don't work
My highlights disappear after I scroll through verses on my screen as well as my notes don't save. And I can't scroll down on my settings screen.
Wonderful app!
Thank you so much for creating this app I love it! 🥰❤️
Glitchy
I picked up this app to start a new year reading plan. However the reading plan has since disappeared from the app. Lots of pop-up adds as well.
Crashing
Great app but I just updated it and it’s asking for a subscription and freezes so I can no longer use it:( pls fix
Inadvertent advertising
This app would be very useful, however oftentimes I cannot read the articles because the advertisements are indecent, not purposefully so, but Temu will advertise products, and sometimes those products are very inappropriate, or they are dresses being modelled by overly exposed women. I do not need the world tempting me into sin whilst trying to read the Word.
Disappointed
The app won't let me sign up therefore I am unable to use the tools that are offered..... Could be a great app if they fix that.
I love this app!
It’s the Bible and aids to help explain everything you could ever want to know! A Christian must have!
Disappeared
I signed up for a reading plan and on the second day the plan disappeared and the app won’t allow me to search for it. My account shows that I have 1 reading plan active and yet the page is blank. Very discouraging.
Great app.....but....
Great app!! Love the reading plans and the layout is so easy to use. The choice of bibles is fantastic and great for cross referencing! I had to purchase difference bible versions in my old app. Only criticism is that you can make notes....but not save them!?!? Please fix this bug! God bless y'all for providing this app.
Works but has issues
This app does work for the most part. The most annoying part is the ads that pop up when opening it and doing certain other tasks. I can’t find any way to get rid of the ads, and if that is the case, I will not be using the app any longer. The one thing that will not work is tracking the reading plan. I keep clicking the “complete daily plan” button, and it temporarily shows it as completed, but if I close the app it shows that the plan has not been started.
Very good
Could be better though, locks and freezes sometimes
Great App!
I just downloaded this app! I’m so happy I did as I have been looking to download Bible App that could give me different versions of the Bible for better understanding and here is this great app with everything. Thank you so much Salem Communication.
Not for me
Downloaded the app, and within about 5 minutes I could tell it wasn’t for me. The pop up ads were non stop and uncontrollable.
Bible plan
Love the app, am using the thematic bible reading plan which I'm really enjoying. Would love it if the app would just open to that spot rather than have to re-find it every morning. Small thing!
Wrong Bible
Used it for short time. However, I wanted to use King James Version and set it up to do this under settings but discovered this app reverted to some other version in daily reading despite my desire. I have now stopped using this.
Bible study
I enjoy reading the scripture and the explanation every day. Thank you
Miss
Excellent
App shows no plans
I’ve had to remove and re-install the app twice. Every time I go into it My Plans is blank and no other plans show up. It acts like it can’t communicate with your servers. Or, the add servers are holding up everything making the app useless!
Love this bible study app
I've been very pleased with all the options the app has. Loving it!!!
Would be great without Ads.
Please get rid of the ads 😩.
New version
Sorry to say that this new version is disappointing. For some reason my highlighted notes are not saving which was the best feature of the previous version for me. I was so much more impressed with the previous version and would have sung its praises on a review.
