What people like
- Completely free with no ads

What they complain about
- Lots of content is still missing

- Recent update ruined the navigation
No more doomscrolling
This is the best Bible study app out there. You can opt to read a chapter first and then read the commentary, or you can read verse by verse and read a commentary for each verse. Not only does it explain what is happening in context, but it also connects what you read to the other books in the Bible. With the context and commentary, you can understand the Bible and God's word so much better. Once you start, you'll be going to this app instead of Instagram or Facebook or TikTok. And best of all—no ads and no pay walls! Seriously, this is the best app out there.
? Coming soon?
Ok I was thrilled with this app but then going to several other books when searching for the summary I get “coming soon” guess it was too good to be true. Please update your content. It has so much potential!
Good App but note taking is difficult
Really good app but it seems like you aren’t able to see your text written in notes as the page does not allow you to scroll down because the keyboard is blocking especially if you are note taking for more than one paragraph. Could this be fixed? Thanks!
Old version was waaaay better!
This use to be a good app. I’ve even recommended it to several people. Before the last big update, the commentary and summaries were great! It did have a ton of “Coming soon” in many of them but overall, it was pretty great! Now…not so much! No longer my go to nor will I recommend to others.
Great, but incomplete.
I started by reading the New Testament first. The commentaries were great but when I started reading the Old Testament, many of the commentaries are labeled Coming Soon! If this was complete, it would be an easy 5 star rating. I REALLY appreciate all the work you’ve done. But in dealing with something as complex as the Bible, I can use all the help I can get.
Great study tool
Great study tool for easy access to quick info on scripture
Blasphemy
In Revelation 1:15 the commentary is in error, how can you turn white when burned in a furnace ? Be honest and say black, Jesus Christ was a dark skin black man
Love
Only loses a star for not having all sections completed, but this is by far my fave app to use for Bible study!
App still incomplete
I’ve had this app for quite awhile and what is amazing is that there are many books of the Bible where both commentary and context are blank with the exception of “Coming Soon”. I decided to look at the ratings to see if there might be others who notice the lack of completion. There are, a lot. A lot. And, it goes back for years. YEARS. How can you release an underdeveloped app and then fail to complete it after several years? I’ll use ChatGPT from now on.
Big gaps
Slightly jarring is that this app has massive gaps of the context and comment sections. The whole Bible is searchable but when you go to the contact section or the comment section a lot of the Bible books say ‘ coming soon’. I wish this wasn’t the case because I have to go off this app to find text or translation of some of the verses. Apart from that, this app would be so good. Bit disappointing.
Surprising
I’m a fan of this application. I particularly like the summary and commentary aspects of it. Layout is logical, too.
Great App
I love this app! It has such great insights. It would be even better if it had an option for commentary/summaries to be read aloud and shared!
Messed up a good app
This used to be my go to app but the last update ruined it. It used to be easy to navigate and the verse commentaries were helpful. All of that has seemed to change. I’m not happy with this update.
Amazing app but incomplete commentary on all books of the Bible
This is really awesome. I can’t wait till all the books of the Bible gets their commentary and context meanings. This app is really helpful
10/10
This my favorite bible app by far. It really helps me understand when there are verses that I just need more clarity from. If you study the bible I really recommend Bibleref!
Could Use Bookmarks
It’s very easy to read so I’m using it not only for study and reference, but for reading as well. I’m currently favoriting the chapters I’ve completed but it would be nice to have a simple bookmark or something to indicate I’ve read/completed.
Coming soon
Love this app - when it works. For me, the primary use of this app is the commentary so that I can better understand particular verses and context. I have found the commentary in this app to be much more concise and easy to read than other sources. However, for weeks every time I lookup the commentary on something all I get is “coming soon”.
Great app!
This is a great app and is so helpful for me to understand context and summaries from the Word. Loving the new layout as well!
Yay
I would give this app a five stars, but it’s so sad. That half of the books in the Bible are not currently there and it says coming soon. I don’t have no other Bible app that actually gives me what I need.
Awesome Bible Study App
I have been using this app for about a week now, and it has been really useful in my Bible study and not to mention it’s free!
Seems to be good, but..
It could easily have been a 5-star rating. However, there’s no search function; a bit disappointed that it doesn’t have one. Hope to see this feature in the next update.
Amazing
This app is amazing. This is my first app review and because I use this app alot, I decided to write this review. What makes this app stand out is that it gives you a summary of the book, chapter, each paragraph, and each verse. It makes understanding the bible alot easier. At the time im writing this, alot of the OT is still coming soon, but the gospels are all done. They should consider making a hard copy of this app. Great job guys.
Super helpful
As a new Christian and a fan of the Got Questions website, I’m finding this app super helpful. There’s commentary down to each verse, and helpfully gives context for each verse too. It’s not complete yet, but a lot of books are on there already. And it’s completely free!
🤍
My favorite online commentary! Grateful for those that worked so hard on making this wonderful app!!
iPad version?
Love the iPhone version but wish they would add a iPad version.
Terrific Scripture companion
Complete, fast, and easy to navigate.
BEST STUDY APP EVER
