Seriously
Is this some kind of joke. You cant take care of patients with this app. It gives you hardly any info about the drug. Im a physician and you cant be using this app.
Review
It would be much more precise if it gave a description of what this drug is specifically for and what it will do to the bacterial infection. The definition given is too vague.
What went wrong?
I have had this app for years and have always found it very helpful. Now when I go to interaction checker all I get is “Check Internet”. If I wanted to check the internet I would not be paying for the convenience of this app.

Presentation of Subscription Screen

I don’t believe……
The reviews from the physicians and pharmacist are the same word for word.. obviously they are in-house or paid which makes me very nervous. Also pharmacist have their own software for these things plus 99% can tell you off the top of their heads. This doesn’t mean I don’t trust the application, it means I don’t necessarily believe some of the reviews.
Paywall is understandable but
At least allow us to select different payment methods. For me, the Apple app store payment methods do not work and I prefer to pay via the website. Sadly, there is no option to pay from the pocket pharmacist website.
No use outside the US
I've had to stop using this, as it's incapable of showing interactions with meds not currently approved for use in the US (but fine for use in the UK, for example), which makes it of zero use now, which is a shame
Great Script App
I started using this when it was free. By now, I am a senior citizen taking a plethora of drugs. Half are prescribed while the other half are supplements or “hacks”. This app is a handy tool particularly if you’re visiting a new specialist or you’re tweaking a drug that you still take. That’s when the “past” drug list comes in real handy. I do wish there was an easy way to transfer medication data to a family member’s phone. I almost have my hubby convinced that the app is more helpful compared to the paper list he keeps in his wallet. It does take some time to set up, IMO.

Best Free One I've Found
Easy to use and love the reminders. You can edit the last time you took a medication but it would be nice to be able to edit any past times of medication taken.
No free option any more
I used to use this and it was good for keeping track of my meds, especially checking for interactions between different meds. I hadn’t used it in a while since my scripts have been pretty stable for several years but my doctor just prescribed a new medication so I opened the app to check for interactions and I was met with a full page subscription screen with no opt out. You have to subscribe to use it. Nope, I’m out.

Amazing app!
Since my stroke, I have a vast number of medications prescribed by doctors. This app has helped me be an informed partner in my health care. It often provides the basis for discussion with my physician -- particularly when prescribing new medications or when I have concerns about side effects. As others have mentioned, there are plans to change to a subscription model in the future.I believe this fair because this app functions as a pharmacist that you can consult at any time. Medications and information about them is always changing.
This is supposed to be a free app
I input 2 of my medications and was redirected to a subscription plan. I couldn’t back out of it so I deleted the app.
Very useful tool!
I have used this app so much! While working on my Pharmacy Tech Bridging or studying for PEBCs, this app has gotten me through a lot. Although some Canadian drugs are not listed, the link to Wikipedia made up for it. Very simple, easy to understand lingo made it so easy to learn and understand. Highly recommend.

I think this app is very good. I gave it 4 stars because I felt it was just missing a few things. One would be a medication reminder, and the 2nd thing would be, they need to add over the counter medications. For example; Aspirin & Tylenol, to the medication list. Outside of that I believe this is the best Rx app I've had. I would highly recommend
App requires you to subscribe after entering personal info
The app let me enter prescriptions and then required me to subscribe in order to check interactions! I couldn’t get off subscribe screen to delete the personal information entered. Same problem a user noted in April that they were supposedly going to fix!
Nursing Student
great app, nicely laid out and easy to maneuver.. good for all medication administrators, however the recent update as made it lag and occasionally freeze on my iPhone 5, would be better if there were Canadian names as well
Good, but...
This app is easy to use. I like it. However it doesn’t quite meet the requirements for my practice in the Philippines. I need to keep in mind to type in Albuterol (for Salbutamol), Acetaminophen (for paracetamol) and there are drugs in my country that I couldn’t find in Pocket Pharmacist such as Bilastine.

This is a fantastic app. Super helpful to track meds. Love that I can print out a well formatted report and hand it to the nurse at any appointment. Thanks much and keep up the good work!

My comments on the PocketPharmacist APP Three bucks to check that my doctor and pharmacist are aware of and keeping good track of interactions and side effects of my 11 prescriptions. They ARE! This info should not be place in the hands of the paranoid patient. LOL I also use another APP called RxMindMe to keep track of meds on hand and remind me to take my meds. I would recommend RxMindMe. I have found RxMindMe quite useful signaling when pills on hand get below a preset number. Also, a drum beat sounds to remind me to take my pills. There is only the note function to keep track of when no more refills are permitted and my doctor will not refill by FAX anymore (new government billing rules for the clinic: by the visit billing instead of my the patient!!!) RxMindMe is certainly more useful than the PocketPharmacist!!

BEWARE!!
If I could give negative stars, I would! I should have read the reviews prior to downloading and beginning to use this App. Unfortunately I did not and learned the hard way that this App is a Svam to get your personal medical information then immediately FORCE you to pay to proceed forward with accessing, modifying and/or deleting your medical information. In other words, they STEAL your medical info! Within minutes that I finished entering my prescription/medical information and clicked on the check interactions button, a pop up appeared with subscription options with the tagline to “help support a small family-run business”. There was absolutely NO way to close subscription screen or to decline until later, etc… nor was there any way to regain access to your personal medical information that you had already entered. I’m not an attorney, but this cannot be in compliance with HIPAA laws. I never consented to them stealing my personal medical information. I never clicked on an agreement prior to entering my information with the understanding that by doing so, I would be locked out of accessing my information without being forced to subscribe. This is intentional theft of our most personal and confidential medical information disguised as a helpful prescription tool, but is actually a smokescreen so the developers can stea our personal information and sell it on the open market. I’m all for supporting small family businesses, but not this one!!! User BEWARE!!!

This is a great app., very Informative, it has helped me out a few times. I would give it a five star rating if it also included Canadian drugs. Still pretty good app.
Looks good, but not for Australia
The App looks promising, but it is not yet suitable for the Australian market. The first three medicines I searched for - all popularly prescribed in Australia - were not in the database.
Excellent app
I have used other apps like this before, but this one is different. It will even tell you the percentage of people who got certain side effects from each of your medications. I saw how many of my medications cause dry mouth, now I know why I get cavities. I have not even used it for that long, and I’m so excited to see everything it has to offer. It is a paid app, but you get a free trial, and it is entirely worth it to be on top of your medication management safety. I have even emailed with the creator, I had some questions, and he is lovely. I cannot recommend this enough as someone who is on various medications.
Paywall! None shall pa$$!
I understand and appreciate that developers would like to and should see fruits from their labor. And I for one don’t mind helping. However, to block all access to the app completely and shove everything behind a pay wall is, I believe, an egregious reach. There are positive user experience options such as placing ads within this app and having a monthly payment option to have them removed - which could serve the same ends for the developer receiving profits and without being like the Emerald City doorman in the Wizard of Oz. Same result but less of a grating thing for those who want or need to know something in a pinch. If this was an entertainment app I wouldn’t even leave a review, but the information within could be helpful for someone in need. Thankfully, there are other options in the App Store. If anything changes, I will be back, delete this one star review, and replace it if that is possible.

This app is very incomplete. It is missing a lot of the common drugs including contraceptives as well as common vitamins and minerals. I am a drugless practitioner, however searching some of these medications helps me determine if there are any possible side effects or interactions owing to there presenting complaint. I definitely expected something a bit more comprehensive.
Updated review
Update: I have access now to actually try the app out. It’s definitely useful and I like the interactions feature. It has a quiz feature which has been a nice touch for learning about the medications. Original: I downloaded, I started using, I got blocked from removing information and doing anything on the app! I can’t get it off of the screen that is trying to force me to subscribe. Terrible experience and I feel so mislead! If I’m paying for a drug guide app then I’m going for Davis Drug Guide

The idea is good, but the information provided is limited or omitted. You’re better off using the Drugs.com app or WebMd
