Knowledge is power
I always ask the doctor the what, why and wherefores of any prescribed drug, and the expected or anticipated results. Then I consult the appropriate Farlex references regarding medicine, medical and nursing information. At 73, it’s better to be fully informed than unpleasantly surprised. It’s not about trust (although if there’s reason for doubt, switch doc’s!) but informed decision making.

Not complete enough
I purchased the ad free version of this app so that I could access important interaction information regarding an antidepressant medication that I take. This app had zero information available beyond a simple description of the drug. This app may be adequate for people taking the most common drugs only, but I would question its comprehensiveness regarding interactions for anything because some drugs are left out. I simply trashed it after 5 minutes of use.

Very easy to navigate and find what your looking such as vitamin D list indications, dosage, take with meals… I’m looking for how much a post menopausal woman age 55 should take. She has already had one clean thru fracture of her distal tibia tibia.

dangerously incorrect definitions
This app listed TASIGNA, a medication with significant secondary cardiac side effects and used for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome positive Chronic Myogenic Leukemia (CML) AS A SMOKING DETERRENT. Let me say it again, this app listed a medication USED TO TREAT CANCER as a smoking deterrent. Irresponsible at best. DO NOT USE THIS APP
